Megson emerged as Phil Gartside's first choice to succeed Sammy Lee last week and The Foxes had previously rejected two approaches for their manager by the Trotters chairman. But following talks last night between Megson and Mandaric, the former West Brom and Nottingham Forest will be allowed to talk to Bolton.

MPH Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Earlier this year there was a report of a bloke in Poland who was in a coma for 21 years and was shocked and surprised by what had changed during his coma.A Leicester fan taking an afternoon nap would feel pretty much the same.

Monk Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Thanks for the OS links. Good statement by Milan, obviously implying that regardless of the talks with Bolton, Megs is a goner. I actually have a funny feeling we'll play a bit better on Saturday! Though we'll have to wait and see. I'm backing Gerry T. Deja Vu or what. I expect we'll get the usual one trick pony's on the merry go round now. I hope we either sign up a positive and attacking minded young manager, or a foreign manager. People like Peter Reid will be lurching around like Vultures. I don't want to see him or Hoddle or Souness or any of the rest of that jolly band of pirates at this football club.
maddog Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 Steve Walsh Gerry Taggart Who will be assistant who will be manager lets wait and see.
Libertine Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 So he's gone regardless as to whether he gets the Bolton job or not.
AshbyFoxes Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 BBC WEB SITE Bolton target Megson leaves Foxes Megson has a reputation in the game as a disciplinarian Gary Megson is set to speak to Bolton about their vacant managerial position after parting company with Leicester. Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric rejected two approaches from Bolton for the 48-year-old, who only took over at Leicester six weeks ago. But in a statement on Wednesday, Mandaric said: "Gary left me no choice when he informed me he wanted to leave Leicester and talk to Bolton." He added: "The search for a new manager begins in earnest."

andyh1884 Posted 24 October 2007 Posted 24 October 2007 I think Milan needs to find himself a new recruitment agency - the last few they've sent him haven't really been up to the job
