Tomassi Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~634405,00.html £100,000 good business
Benji Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 i have a feeling he will be a first team regular keegan has said in one of the links he's close to breaking through, so why would he leave for us, must have been told he'd get first team footy although to be fair theres not much to beat to get into our back 4
Tomassi Posted 2 March 2005 Author Posted 2 March 2005 seems to me like Leveins building for next season
misterboj Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 IF i had to criticise him Id say he's a bit quick tempered, but he's a cracking all round centre half and highly rated in Ireland. I think hes actually captain of the under 21s though Im not 100% sure about that. He went on loan to Boston last season and was outstanding and they wanted to sign him but he decided to fight for his place at city. Keegan has bigged him up this season as a premiership player yet gave him no opportunity whatsoever to prove himself. You have got yourselves an absolute bargain.
Molson Canadian Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Sounds like a good signing i hope he does well what a great name PADDY !
Little Nicky Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Paddy the Paddy, good luck to ya lad, I hope you do well for us!
MADLEVEIN Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 im sure we can think of a more better song than, theres only one paddy or the usual boring ones like, weve got paddy ...paddy mcarthy.
Simon Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Sounds like a an absolute BARGAIN! If the Man City fans are so disappointed to see him go, that must mean something... Hopefully he'll start on Saturday.

Hopefully he'll start on Saturday. 73501 I suspect not as CL is still trying to line up a loan deal for this season, so I would presume he's for next season CL "We are working on two fronts right now with the view to bringing in someone in the short-term and someone for next season. I am going abroad to have a look at a few players over the next couple of days for that reason."
Sparky Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 surely he will start saturday , hes gotta be better than heath
davieG Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 surely he will start saturday , hes gotta be better than heath 73503 He could well do but as I shown with CL's quote he's hoping to get a loan in and one would presume that would be someone who's more experienced and hopefully better than Heath and McCarthy. CL is actually in Belgium looking at this very moment.
Sparky Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 hope he does the buisness over there . dont fancy heath up against taylor and dobie . i would rather stearman start a cb than heath
Collymore Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Patrick McCarthy Real name Patrick McCarthy Height 6.01 Weight 12.09 Date of birth 31-05-1983 Place of birth Dublin Position Defender Nationality Ireland Good height but perhaps a tad on the light side. Looks a good signing though. The average age is coming down even more
dynamite foxes Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Lets hope it's Vincent Kompany!!! but then again I read something, that said Belguim had a lot of good young players coming through. Lets hope this boys a gem.
Simon Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 I'm starting to get excited about next season now... hopefully McCarthy will be a good signing and if we can get a good solid player from Craig's trip to Belgium then things look bright
MC Prussian Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 I'd like to see the first Swiss player appearing under Craig Levein. We really have talent playing in and out of our country. Eh? Eh?
Fox in a Box Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Young british something to prove.......... CL has he taken a leaf out of MON's book.... he got the raw talent of IZZ/LENNY/SAV and made them what they are today. Patrick McCarthy looks a decent addition, lets hope he has the qualities that we require. If hes been training alongside anelka/fowler/philips at MC that must have been a good thing as they are all good fowards. If Im honest i think we need someone next who can hit the 'Onion Bag' on a reg basis. MDV needs to start scoring!
Louise Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Rob Kelly: "Patrick has been at Manchester City since joining them straight from school and, as I worked a lot in the North-West, I know all about his progress."The boss and coach Peter Houston had been down from Scotland to see him as well before they came here so we know a lot about him. "In Manchester, there were a lot of experienced players in his position so he did not get much chance of first-team football there. "He fits the profile of the sort of player we are looking for, young and looking towards furthering his career as much as possible. "He is a good athlete, very mobile for such a big lad and, having been captain at many levels, including the Under-21s for his country, he is a leader as well." http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/disp...tentPK=11940230
Stuliasz Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Quotes from the BBC 606 messageboard pages: Apparently he has signed for Leicester for £100k! I am sure Keegan will let us know whu he has been sold! That sounds like a bad deal to me to be honest. Very bad. Wheres the cover ? We wil lhave to bring someone else in now in the summer. Seems a low fee to me - just like the one that Sunderland paid for Elliott. Sounds promising!
shen Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 Lets hope it's Vincent Kompany!!! but then again I read something, that said Belguim had a lot of good young players coming through. Lets hope this boys a gem. 73514 Haha... Kompany! In our dreams... They always have a few up and coming players in Belgium. They do however have so many non-Europeans in their league, so work permits might be a problem.
