They're signed as well.

He wore these gloves Vs Newcastle at home in the prem.

Hmm... might be a bit better then... shame he couldn't have kept a few more out eh!

1 more, Steve Walsh and Gerry Taggart used to live in the house next door to me. ( not at the same time obviously)

We're family friends of the Tuilagis, so have been to a few barbeques etc round theirs, got free tickets to Twickenham finals, and met a few players from the Tigers like Martin Johnson etc.

Met Gary Lineker at a City match as well as numerous other players.

Met Kasabian in a service station coming home from Barnsley :D

Hmmm I'm sure there's more....

Obviously we have all met tons of City players thru the years as have I, also seen plenty of 'celebrities' too. But I bet I'm one of the only people to have met Marco Ferreria?

Spoke to Dion Dublin whilst taking a piss in a pub in Norwich, around July time.

Met Sir Bobby Robson on the day he was knighted at the Ritz Hotel. Autograph too.

Michael Vaughan walked passed me in the EHB at Loughborough University today, literally 1 metre away whilst i had lunch. A few others followed but didn't know who they were.

Saw Kisnorbo, Stearman, Henderson and Kenton in the students union a few fridays ago.

Former Norwich player Marc Libbra lived a few houses down from me years ago, a few may remember him.

I've met Bobby Charlton when he was guest of honour at Man Utds 4-3 victory over LCFC back in the 03/04 season.

I met Roy Keane at Man Utds changing ground a few years ago

I've met Kisnorbo a few times in the dressing room at the training ground (most recently when he had his goal disallowed he told us he gave the AR a right b*llocking after the game)

I met some band on a cruise ship but I'd never heard of them (all the moshas were asking for their autograph etc. though)

I've met some bloke from the Beatles when I went with my Dad to a signing session a few years ago

I met a boxer in Barbardos before but I was young and cannot remember it

I had to interview Paddy Byrne when he wanted to buy some furniture on the never never from the old Coop circa 1979. What a star, he left me 2 tickets in the Swansea ticket office for the away game the next day.

Having seen John Riise's pay slip from Liverpool recently, I doubt many footballers are asking for credit these days!!!! :S

Auctioned a barn full of Dinky's/Corgi's which earned a five minute slot on Blue Peter and appeared on Cilla Black's Surprise, Surprise when a friend of mine was reintroduced to his long lost brother.

Lucky enough to have shared substantial time with various well known sporting and television personalities, most memorable among them Barry Sheene, Joe Bugner and manager Andy Smith, Alan Minter, legendary boxing referee Harry Gibbs, James Hunt, Tommy Steele, Jonah Barrington, Raymond Baxter, Bill Maynard and Barbara Jones (who wrote a book on Sonia Sutcliffe, wife of the mass murderer).

A highlight of the those days was being driven a few laps around Brands Hatch by the late F1 driver Gunnar Nilsson- one handed in a Lotus Eclat.

Enjoyed a terrific late night party at Stamford one night with Noel Cantwell/Ian Storey-Moore etc and had memorable football contacts in Bill Shankly, Sir Bobby Robson, Peter Shilton (we were in the same 60th Leicester cub pack) and the less known character Bob Raynor (ex Notts County goalkeeper) who, as Loughborough goalkeeper organised a striptease evening to "relax us" on the eve of a big cup match. I was 16/17 then. How match preparation changed!

Our Leicester Mercury football team included current frontline broadcasters but colleagues of the time Tony Francis and Tim Ewart.

Centre-forward Bill Garner was my strike partner at Loughborough United before joining Southend en route to Chelsea where he became what I think was the first or one of the first £100,000 footballers.

Finally there was Richie Barker (ex-Sheffield Wednesday) who was team manager at Loughborough and John Barnwell who invited me to endure pre-season training at Peterborough United at a time when a few of us were compiling a book on the club.

John Barnwell is now head of the League managers Association.

I bet there's a few tales he could tell - shame he couldn't publish them!

By the way, I've been invited to play Mark Selby at pool next week (he and I are members of the same social club). I may give it a go..

go on then....

i met and chatted to noel gallagher at a night club on regent street, also there i danced with jarvis cocker (who, with pulp, used to rehearse in the (smaller) rehearsal room next to my band), bumped (literally) into courtney love, was told i had a great jacket by paul 'dennis pennis' kaye - ach there were loads, it were dead cool.

i saw the twins off grange hill three times, although the last time it was just one of them, but that was when i was standing outside the toilets in a shopping centre on kings road talking to her then boyftriend 'ant' of ant and dec.

i sat next to tony wilson at a charity event in manchester, and i sat next to nick cotton in a cinema in richmond, i saw lionel blair with a young asian boy in richmond, too.

i sat on a train opposite julie mullins from neighbours

i was on active8, with leicester panthers youth in the same team as martin johnson, who's mum was my form teacher.

i kicked a can in the street that hit sarah cracknell of saint ettiene

i met brian wilson at an awards ceremony at the beverley wilshire hotel and then hung out with fountains of wayne.

... i could go on.

...and now i linger on foxes talk, ah it was fun while it lasted

I live just down the road from Andy Johnson's parents. BTW :D it's the decent one who plays for Everton not that goon who used to play for us.

And if you look in the MK Dons youth team on FM for Oli Thorne I used to play centre-back with him before he was signed up. :yesyes:
