Simi Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 He had that look in his eye. You know what i'm talking about. Oh. That look? That's a claim to fame in itself. Hearing Sergio speak should also be one.
The Stig Posted 7 November 2007 Author Posted 7 November 2007 Someone I know's boyfriend's brother is Bernarnd from Bernards Watch! The old kids TV show!
andyh1884 Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I was on Channel 5 news when the La Manga story broke, was walking down Granby Street & some film crew stopped me & asked me for my opinion so I gave them it, it got shown that evening.
MC Prussian Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Met Michael Moore a few years back while he was on a book tour in Germany. Sat opposite Daniel Dae Kim one evening in Vancouver (without even noticing him at first ). That's the biggest ones I can think of.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I started the first one of these threads.
Simi Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I started the first one of these threads. Now 442 of them later. Where have we come to? ALEX, WHERE? WELL?

Leigh Francis aka Arvid Merrion. I was one of the people waving goodbye when The Real Wild Roadshow (Terry Nutkins et al.) came to Twycross Zoo.
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I ran in a televised 5k road race that was shown on Sportsnight on BBC1 one Wednesday in April 1990. It was a special occassion for me as my coach had died suddenly the previous month and I had just been made captain of Leicester Coritanian Athletic Club. Got good coverage as there were only about 40 athletes. Raced against Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth champions and medallists (damn Kenyans, bless 'em - boy are they good!) and managed to finish in the low twenties I think. Mega proud to wear my club vest that night! Sadly a month later I badly injured both achilles tendons which required surgery and put me out for over two years by which time I had a fiancee followed by a family on the way. Made a comeback in 1997 which didn't go too badly but ended again with injury after winning the Isle of Wight Half Marathon in 1999 by over 3 minutes. I'm now in comeback mode yet again at the age of 44 to try and win the Isle of Wight Marathon in 2008 to raise money for my local youth football club - any sponsors out there?? Pro footballers should try being an amateur athlete striving for the win - training at least twice every day, bed by 10.30 every night, up and training by 6.30 every morning, no alcohol for 50 weeks a year and all while holding down a full-time job. Sissies!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I'm now in comeback mode yet again at the age of 44 to try and win the Isle of Wight Marathon in 2008 to raise money for my local youth football club - any sponsors out there?? Make a thread and I'm sure the mods will sticky it in the same way they've done for Alex.
Dames Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Me and my friend were in game and while i was buying a game Sappleton came in and started talking to my friend about football manager saying how he always buys himself for the big teams I didn't know untill my friend said when we got out the shop he went, 'I don't know if you know him but that was Ricky Sappleton, becomes awesome on FM'
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Make a thread and I'm sure the mods will sticky it in the same way they've done for Alex. Good idea - I'll put something up nearer the time (May 2008). Cheers Fez!
Tommeh Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Met and had a very brief chat with alan shearer's daughter in Harrods once, damn fine girl Then Daddy shearer came in and scared poor Tommeh away No one will top that.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Now 442 of them later.Where have we come to? ALEX, WHERE? WELL? I think I'm gonna have to do it. I'm gonna have to bring up the top trump. Former Arsenal footballer Paul Merson told me I had a large head and threw a trilby at me.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I have actually seen, and had bizare conversations with quite a few famous people/not so famous Spanish footballers. Not for awhile unfortuantley but then I've not really been anywhere for about 2 months. A good mate of mine still beats everyone, after walking straight into Owen Wilson in Rome, literally.
syston_fox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 Met Amir Kahn - nice lad and very down to earth Met Jimmy Carr and he complemented me on my "good work" as I was with two female friends Had my photo taken with Dave Gorman - his beard is amazing in person and he pulls the same manic grin as in all the pics of him and other Dave Gormans Met a very excited Alan Fletcher a.k.a Dr Karl Kennedy from neighbours after seeing his band at Lough Uni. He shook my hand while he was performing too - that was a very bizarre night! Taken a leak next to Brian Deane!
City Fan Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 I served Geordan Murphy and Lucie Silvas about a year and a half ago, and have met Jonathan Ross and Vicki Butler Henderson.
FilboFox Posted 7 November 2007 Posted 7 November 2007 James Wesolowski lived in the flat above my aunty and she has been in the lift with him several times at the Pick Building... don't know if he's still there but its where she met him. Shame I never got to see him but its funny to know that my relation has met a star City player! PLUS, I forgot before... my mum has met and was friends with Phil Tuffnell (sp?) and his wife. They used to hang out a lot when she was in Nottingham... PLUS, I met Gary Lineker when he came to our school for a leukemia charity thing... shook his hand and chatted to him about Leicester as I was one of the only City fans in the entire school of 1500 students! Now that I come to think of it... I have quite a few links to famous people!
FilboFox Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 I have Ian Walkers goalie gloves. Are they in the bin? If not... I would put them there! He was a piss goalie... I never liked him AT ALL! It's not been the same since Flowers and Keller... glad Fulop's here now but we need to sign him permanently!
Bert Posted 8 November 2007 Posted 8 November 2007 Are they in the bin? If not... I would put them there! He was a piss goalie... I never liked him AT ALL! It's not been the same since Flowers and Keller... glad Fulop's here now but we need to sign him permanently! They're signed as well. He wore these gloves Vs Newcastle at home in the prem.
