Messi Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Sheffield United/Middlesboro v Cardiff Manchester United V Portsmouth Bristol Rovers V West Brom Barnsley V Chelsea
Darkzzz_ Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Some good games there... so there will defo be a championship side or league 1 side going to the semi finals!!! Great news that!!
Koke Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I want West Brom to go all the way now. I'm cheering on them. Or even Boro. Anyone but United and Chelsea. Last season's final is still fresh in my mind.
Tommy G Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I think Bristol could beat WBA, that would make an interesting semi final opponent
purpleronnie Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I was hoping pompey got to the final. If its man u v chelsea again I aint watching it. I think Bristol could beat WBA, that would make an interesting semi final opponent Nah west brom will win.
act smiley Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Only chance of an upset to my eyes there is Cardiff and possibly Portsmouth, and even that's a bit weaker due to being away. Bit of a bollocks draw really. Odds of a Man U vs. Cheslea semi are probably 80,000,000-1. Man Utd vs. Cardiff/Boro, Chelsea vs. WBA semis, Man Utd vs. Chelsea final again. And it was looking so good before that draw too.
Nationwider Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Disappointingly, neither ManYoo or Chelsea have a midweek game following their cup games and play Derby and Sunderland respectively the following weekend. They have Olympiakos and Lyon the Wednesday before, but realistically both should be at full strength for the Cup. If Portsmouth put in a season-best performance, then they could go to Old Trafford and get something. ManYoo are beatable and if anyone can, Harry can.
Koke Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I just hope one of the lower league teams get to the final. It'd be a fantastic day out for them.
purpleronnie Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Yeah as long as its not another man u v millwall, that was truely terrible.
Joe. Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I would absolutely love to see Chelsea and Man Utd make it no further than the Quarters. It would be good for English football. Like Ched says, let's hope they meet in the Semis. Although Man Utd do have a potential banana skin in Pompey. Playyy up Pompey.
surrifox Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 makes you sick, if we hadn't been so utterly useless against s'ampton we would be in the semis as we would easily have seen off their subsequent opponents up to the quarters stage and would be facing a home tie against WBA which is the side we beat in the semis when we last got to the cup final in 1969- would have avoided all the big sides - oh well there's always next year
