SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Sir Guus Hiddink and then sit back and enjoy the ride
r1deano Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 reckon the whole side needs a shake up not just the manager! as for the manager..... ffs why did mclaren get the job in the 1st place?? if we need a boss that gets 110% outta the team then our man martin o'neil & as an added bonus... he would f u c k villa off in the process! job done!!
r1deano Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Slaven Bilic. That man knows how to put out a team that wants to attack. Well done Croatia. gotta agree there, the way they played & the way england didnt! it could have been an embarassing result that matched the performance of england.

I dunno how much you know abot Slaven but as a person, I don't think he and the FA could be more less suited. For one he gets through 40 fags a day and he makes Mourinho look shy.
Bojimha Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 I'm another one for Mourinho too, definately wouldn't want Lippi because if you watch the style his teams always play you would know we don't have the capability to do the same. The shout for Harry was a good one, never thought about that one before.

Libertine Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Scholari. Wanted him in the first place, but those gosh darn paperazzi folk.
Blue Bob Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 We need an excellent motivator who can get the right formation and stick to it. For me it has to be Mourinho - time for the special one to show us how special he is.
FilboFox Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Mourinho or Lippi. Hopefully the day has come that we accept that no Englishman is ready or fit to take the job. You ain't kidding... just look at the options... none of them are doing particularly well at their respective clubs.
FilboFox Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Scholari. Wanted him in the first place, but those gosh darn paperazzi folk. No... couldn't be doing with him. He was too much of a twat towards England both on and off the pitch. I wouldn't mind Lippi although that might be a bit weird... Mourinho... I'd like to see him try! He is an overrated manager in my opinion so I'd be interesting to see him try a REAL challenge for once! Apart from that, not really sure who else there is... what is clear, is that we need stability and that we need someone who is going to get this bunch of idiots playing as a team again...
Mort Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Need to go a long way to beat Rob Kelly... cheap too.
SamL Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Gotta be Mourinho or MON. Wouldn't mind either but we've just gotta hope the muppet we have at the moment gets sacked.
escape2victory Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Surprised no one has mentioned Capello yet. Seems to always bring success wherever he goes. Mourinho would be the number one target but he wont take it. He is waiting for a top European club job and then wants to manage Portugal after that. Its got to be O'Neill for me. Would have the best part of three years to build a team for the 2010 World Cup. The England players dont need coaching, they need inspiring and need to play with pride and passion again. This would fit O'Neill down to a treat.
Simi Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Jose Mourinho. Finally everyone is admitting that the Englishman are just not good enough to take us forward, there limited ideas, clueless tactics, fear of a little bit of creativity. We need someone to take this team by the neck and make them want to die for those England shirts like so many of the fans would. Mourinho would sort the men from the boys and they'd all have to up their games, I'm positive Mourinho would get us playing some decent stuff with a bit of passion, even though he's not English.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Does that matter if he can manage Not really but I don't see the FA taking a kindly to it. It wouldn't portray the kind of image they'd want the England manager to portray.
Simi Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 The next time we make it to a major competition I will be 19.
mancunianfox Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Mourinho... I'd like to see him try! He is an overrated manager in my opinion so I'd be interesting to see him try a REAL challenge for once! I think his record at every club he has been at will tell you otherwise. I don't think there are many managers who have been as consistantly successful as Mourinho.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 Whats the betting that we end up with another Steve McClaren type figure that nobody wants.... I think his record at every club he has been at will tell you otherwise. I don't think there are many managers who have been as consistantly successful as Mourinho. I would love to hear all of Wembley singing 'Jose Mourinho, Jose Mourinho.....'
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 Martin O'Neill 7/4 Jose Mourinho 7/2 Felipe Scolari 6/1 Guus Hiddink 6/1 Alan Shearer 10/1 Fabio Capello 12/1 Terry Venables 14/1 Marcello Lippi 20/1 Ottmar Hitzveld 20/1 Harry Redknapp 25/1 Sam Allardyce 25/1 Alan Curbishley 33/1 Mark Hughes 33/1 Paul Jewell 33/1 Steve Coppell 33/1 Arsene Wenger 50/1 Martin Jol 50/1 Sir Alex Ferguson 50/1 Lawrie Sanchez 100/1 According to Ladbrokes...
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 Mods can you merge this and the next England boss thread. Thanks...
Alexikokopops Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 The next time we make it to a major competition I will be 19. And I'll be a month away from 24. That's upsetting.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 And I'll be a month away from 24.That's upsetting. When it ends I'll be a month away from 26 now that is scary.
mancunianfox Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 At least its a change from talking about who's going to be the next Leicester boss.
