Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/7107060.stmYes please I'd take him, the only blemish on his record is getting sacked by Real for having the cheek to win the league.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Definite yes. The way our fans and media treat managers, we shouldn't even be in with a hope of getting a manager like Capello. Someone who actually knows how to win games. Barwick will probably end up with Sammy Lee.
mancunianfox Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 I'd take him, the only blemish on his record is getting sacked by Real for having the cheek to win the league. AS Roma???
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Capello is so far the only potential candidate to publicly declare an interest in coaching England. We sacked McClaren like an hour ago
Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES I still think Mourinho will fancy a crack at it as well as will Scolari. But Capello is more than good enough. The Don.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 AS Roma??? Did you see that team play football? It was fantastic to watch. And he won the league. I know it all went a bit tits up but it was for reasons other than his abilty to manage.
Phube Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 He looks like Bo Selecta's Mel B'!!!! No thanks!!!

Durnerz Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 He wouldn't be happy with the smoking ban in this country. (At least I think hes one of those cigar puffing gaffers on the touchline)

Definately, I was just pointing out that it is the only thing close to a blemish on his record.
Mark Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Capello was sacked as manager of Real Madrid on 28 June 2007 due to Madrid's over defensively and boring style of play.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 He won the league for christ sake. And Madrid fans view anything that isn't fantastic free following football as boring.
mancunianfox Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 Overly defensive and boring play that won them the league? We want someone who will win us the World Cup, not someone who is going to play amazing football that gets us knocked out by an Italy or a Germany. Capello would be a massive step up in quality compared to Steve McClaren.

Alexikokopops Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 I think this is the first time I've used this, but it's worth it... :w00t:

Capello would be a massive step up in quality compared to Steve McClaren. I would be a massive step up from that dim-witted fcuk. Ok, perhaps not. But my point is made. Capello would be a good choice. I used to believe that England should have an English manager but now, I'd just like us to win something before I am too senile to remember it!!
Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 Coolness personified??? Well he certainly looks like he doesn't buy his suits from Burtons like McLaren probably does.
