Wherethefoxhat? Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 --------------now for God's sake get off his back !!!!!!!!!!!!
Nath Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 One decent game doesn't make him god. 16 other game's have been shit.
Webbo Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Really pleased for him, Fryatts had some stick too.
Moreton Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Yeah, i think that stearman is one of the best things to come out of our academy for a while and i reckon he's going to become a quality player
Fox You Forest Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 He has been getting alot of stick. People seem to forget he's still very young and learning.
Bryn Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Fresh start for the lot of em, as Ollie says it hasn't been an easy time for em with a medley of mediocre managers and a variable boardroom situation. Clean slate. Stears is back in his favoured position and let's judge him afresh.
l444ry Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Agree. The over the top vitriol aimed at Stearman says moe about the critic than the player himself.
Cobbo Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 I never boo a player and I will get behind them. But Stearman is shit. I have never seen worse use of the ball by a full back, or someone so easily turned inside out as this boy. Kenton & Chambers are much better options at right back. Chambers especially.
Nath Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Would this thread be here if he didn't score today?! Exactly.
Jonezy Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Glad both he and Fryatt proved me wrong today, but they need to show it on a more constistant basis, as they have had some pretty dire appearances. Especially with Stearman coming from the academy and being a local lad, I really really hope he will cut it and become a future Leicester legend, so lets hope Ollie will be a good influence for him.
Ozwin Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Burnham, change your sig mate, resize it or something.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 24 November 2007 Author Posted 24 November 2007 One decent game doesn't make him god.16 other game's have been shit. So that's a no then------------- Give me strength !
Nath Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 So that's a no then-------------Give me strength ! he doesn't deserve all this praise from one game. Try this thread at the end of the season, see how much praise he get as a whole.
mickydeeeuk Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 I've often wondered why Stearman gets so much abuse, i think he is a great prospect. I honestly dont see the point in giving out abuse to young lads like that and/or booing your own players. To me Stearman has done brilliantly to cope with playing in lets face it in a position that doesent come naturally as i see him more as an out and out defender, who will probably end up a centre back when he fills out a bit! On the ball he shows good touch, and chips in with his share of goals. his only weakness' are that from time to time he lacks concentration, but with experience i think that will be ironed out, and his 'long throw' that always goes just short of the corner of the 6 yard box, and gets cleared every time! (surely an instruction from the manager tho?) Stearman will if he already isnt be a real good player and IMO in a few years could play in the Prem. ..... there are certainly worse!! anyway i like him!! bring on the abuse!!
Wezleylowski Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Is it only me that thinks Stearman only tried today because he thought if he did'nt Ollie might write him off? We have a new manager and all the players were out to impress the new gaffer. Give it a week or 2 and Billy big bollox Stearz will be back to his old tricks of not giving a fook. I hope i am wrong though.

We've won a game, kept a clean sheet and Stearman scored. Fuc king hell, next England right back.

Bert Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 He plays well, and still gets stick. No coincidence that he had a good game whilst back at right back.
Cobbo Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 He plays well, and still gets stick. No coincidence that he had a good game whilst back at right back. I judge my stick on a season overall basis not on a one game performance
Bert Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 I judge my stick on a season overall basis not on a one game performance Season aint done yet.
Daz.I Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 he scores one goal you lot are virtually sucking him off, he's useless never should of been in the england under 21 squad n'gotty on the bench, never should have started today ye he scoerd but he's wank.
The Reverend Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 The guy has potential, but over the last year or so has gone backwards. Perhaps a motivator like Holloway (and some stability with Ollie here), will do him good, and he will fulfill his potential with us.
