Daggers Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 Yea - you show 'em Stearman. Knock in a bobbling ball and all of a sudden you are a shining talent that deserves praise regardless of the countless inept performances you have put in at right back over the last two and a bit seasons. You show 'em Stearman. You show 'em stupid bastards that see your limitations week in week out and say nothing but eventually, once frustrated by your wax and waning desire, choose to vocalise it by lobbing abuse at your dumb**** lazy ass. Scoring a tap in - that'll show 'em. Yea - you show 'em Stearman.
Flynny Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 He was never THAT bad, and this doesn't make him good. Can I sleep now?

Stearman has 1 decent game and fook us all he makes up for what 2 years worth of shiite performances? Fook no. With Olly in its clean slate time I accept, but the leauge table does not work that way and saviour Stears is one of many reasons why we are underpwerforming in the league. Oh and where was all of this support of him before he scored today? Some of you souind like Spurs fans with the Stearman is actually great as he can score a tap in
Daggers Posted 24 November 2007 Posted 24 November 2007 this is now the 2nd post that we are in agreement. ...so what? I neither seek your approval or validation.
Kilworthfox Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 ...so what?I neither seek your approval or validation. Tough you have it on this issue
ronnup Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Tough you have it on this issue stupid thread. Hell have a mare on monday and get slated again. It's ridiculous. scores an easy goal = get off his back We lose = this team isn't good enough everyone wants to look like the fan that's always been behind the guy that does well, well bollocks. If he's shit, he's shit. And we've had a timid and uninspiring right flank all season so fook off. One goal and he's god. Grow up.

He didn't look particularly special today but was out of position for the majority of the game and it was a vital goal. I thought Kenton put in an awesome shift at right-back though. Second half he was fantastic.
Daggers Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Tough you have it on this issue At some point we are going to have to drink beer Kilworth. Fancy one on Monday?

Webbo Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 He was never THAT bad, and this doesn't make him good. Can I sleep now? That is correct and that is the reason I was pleased for him. He's been made the scapegoat for too many bad team performances.
Micky Ruddle Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 I've not rated him at all this season. But from what i've heard, he had a good game. So i'm not getting onto his back. But this is one game. Maybe it is because he has someone like Ollie to that will support him. Unlike Megson and Allen. Lets see how he gets on, on Monday vs Cardiff.
Simi Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 This lad is a member of OUR TEAM-----Call yourself a SUPPORTer------------you don't know the meaning of the word ! That is complete bullpop. Why should the fans back a player that has been poor for the past two seasons? To question someones support because they don't worship the ground every player walks on is ridiculous. Tevez Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Stearman is pants, we should of got rid when prem teams wanted him.
ronnup Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 ----- !""!!!! Five exclamation marks!!!!!! That's just ridiculous.
Tommy G Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 He isn't the best player we've got and he isn't the worst. I'm confused where people get this 'cocky attitude' of his from. I never see it when he's on the pitch. He seems to be a scapegoat for a lot of city's bad performances recently, which is unfair. He will get a fresh start under holloway as will the rest of the squad, and thats only fair. People slating him all the time will knock his confidence and undoubtedly make him play worse, same goes for other players. I'm not saying worship the ground he walks on but encouraging players is the only way this football club is ever going to get places. Unfortunately some people can't seem to change their opinion over a player, if he has a miracle season from now on people will still slate him because they just don't like the fella and thats unfortunate.

Have you ever actually watched him, just him, in a leicester game? He loses his man EVERY time. When he recieves the ball, one word comes to mind, HOOF. Yes he is young and blah blah blah like alot ofyou are saying, but he is our longest serving player, not as if he is unexperienced is it? What's the excuse for his poor performances now? Shitness.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 My (male) mate (who's not a Leicester fan) just saw him in Topshop and described him as "kind of goofy looking with an element of hunk", brilliant.
Jimmy Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 Yes he is young and blah blah blah like alot ofyou are saying, but he is our longest serving player, not as if he is unexperienced is it? that says more about our transfer policy and our previous finances, he is 20 years old you cant expect him to be experienced at that age, he will learn and develop as he get older and fills out, Ollie seems to be the 1st manager since his début that combines the strict disciplinarian with that arm round the shoulder encouragement that all players of that age needs. He was NEVER as good as a lot of people made out back then and he certainly isn't as bad as your making out now, he's an average championship Right Back with the potential to be a superb Centre Half 1 day, give him time and don't get on his back from the moment his 1st pass goes astray as that doesn't work no matter how much as you morons think it will
lcfc_jme Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 He seems to be a scapegoat for a lot of city's bad performances recently, which is unfair. Moonshine. Absolute moonshine. To me, the scapegoats for awful Leicester performances in recent times have been Hammond, de Vries and Cort. Not Stearman. If you're saying Stearman gets slated anywhere near as badly as de Vries or Cort get it, you're deluded.

I couldn't give a toss about his attitude away from the pitch, it's his life and he can lead it how he wants but on the pitch he is duty bound to put in performances. He hasn't - moreover, he has been our worst player this season that has consistently been selected despite glaring mistakes week in week out. Maybe if you take one off performances you could argue he hasn't put in this season's worst performance, but that isn't what most people have a problem with. Events like yesterday simply paper over the cracks of a player that is short on confidence at home and lacking composure on the ball.
Leicester Lass Posted 25 November 2007 Posted 25 November 2007 He's in the NOTW Championship team of the day y'know So is McAuley.
