Nod.E Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 I have a Nokia 6288. Screen has gone from flickering from time to time to now blanking me the whole time. I don't have any insurance. What do I do? Might ring up the twats at 3 to demand a new one but i don't know how successful that would be. Anyway. For now i have 5 messages that i cannot read! And i am the impatient sort. Is there any way that i can see my messages? And no i can't switch the SIM to another phone because my messages are saved to my phone. Cheers.
Bert Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 All Nokia's are supposed to have 12 month warranty.
Nod.E Posted 27 November 2007 Author Posted 27 November 2007 All Nokia's are supposed to have 12 month warranty. If this is true, i will run around the house and possibly squeel like a baby. Even if it's from 3?
Geo V Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Anything you buy new should come with a 12 month manu warranty surely? If you bought it from a shop then go back with your receipt and teh phone and they should fix it although they may ask for a small fee to send it away to be fixed.

I think whether it has a waranty or not my dad will get a refund either way And i got it over the internet from 3. What about my texts? I want to see them, NOW I'm such an irratating person to be around at times like these Anyway this is boring me. In other news, I have a painful Mouth Ulcer
DB11 Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 The Carphone Warhouse repair any type of phone and, mostly, they do it right there on the spot for free. If they can't figure it out straightaway though, then they take it in for proper repair and charge you.

Matt Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Sorry to "hijack" the thread but seeing as it's a phone thread thought there's no point in starting a new thread. Has anyone got or know what they Sony Ericsson w580i is like? I'm looking at a new phone, with the work I do, it's gonna get dusty, scratched and potentially hit and bashed a few times, so obviously don't want anything to flashy but want a nice looking phone with some decent features on it. Just wondered if anyone had any verdicts on it?

Alexikokopops Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Get yourself a sister who works for Vodafone Head Office. I got my phone back today off her after it broke when my mate fell down the stairs in a club with it in his pocket.

In other news, I have a painful Mouth Ulcer if you call up the place you bought it from and they will direct you to a repair center which will be done free of charge . they usually send you to the carphone warehouse on welford road if you are in Leicester even if its not there where you bought it from. if the guy in the shop cant fix it then they will send a replacement or send it off to be fixed.. it sounds to me like they wont try and repair it.. did you drop it in water? did it get wet at all?

Can your sister get me a new phone please Alex? Anyone would do. I will then sell it on ebay and give you half the profit. Thank you.
Tabou Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 F.A.O whoever wanted this help... My Nokia E65 keys froze 2 weeks ago. I was shitting myself, no insurance etc... Rang Orange. All Nokia's have 12 months warranty. Just take it to the Carphone Warehouse accross the road from Grimsby Chip Shop on Welford Road. They will send it off, it will take 3-4 weeks, and you will loose all your info and messages, but they will do it for FREEEE!! This is guarenteed, 100% accurate, as I have had to do it in the last couple of weeks Hope this helps..

Just wondered if anyone had any verdicts on it? I got one. It felt slim, sexy, cool, state of the art when I got it about 12 months ago, and I loved it. Now it feels heavy, fat, unreliable, uncool and I cant wait for the next 6 months to come around so I can upgrade to a mobile phone the size of a thimble...
