coale39 Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Teams are always shocked by the "Leicester experience" that is 8 - 1 - 1.
Bryn Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Not all the acadamy products are capable of that no matter what you claim just look at Stearman for example. He never said academy products though.
ronnup Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 New managers, a waste of loads of money, massive expectations... And here we are, shit unspiring football as usual, and no conviction in the last third. We need a massive over-haul of footballing style, we're grafting away without any creativity. Fooking frustration.
ronnup Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 They don't have to be academy products. Where have I said that?Burnley seemed to have enough people who passed the ball quickly and accurately then moved and they seemed to have people who ran at folk and took them on in dangerous areas. I've wanted us to play King for months because he passes the ball quickly, accurately and dangerously. Age doesn't come into it if people have got ability but Burnley tore us apart far too many times to take comfort from a lucky point. Completely agree with you here mate, it's not fooking rocket science. Pass and move. PASS AND MOVE! The academy play and have played great passing attacking football, but the team they move into is going to kill that instinct unless we change the whole atmosphere aroubd the team. the success of the youths should be embraced, and built on. I know it's only a small point but when was the last time you saw us play good football, i've seen very little of it this season. and we all know what last season was like.
Mr Happy Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 yer lik whateverr...Interesting to find out what people at the ground thought. Sounded very lucky. Stearman sounded like he had a good game, so did Fulop. I cant believe Mayburys playing when Newtons on the bench even tho Newton is dog turd. Glad Hume scored, he's such a confidence player. Part of the whole player priority situtation there. I'm glad that Maybury/Kenton started instead of Newton though. Would rather that King started but you can't always have what you want, can you? If you could I'm sure that we'd have taken 3 points instead of 1. That said with the way the game sounded tonight 1point doesn't seem like such a bad thing, though 3points I expect us to try and pick up off WBA this Sat
Raj Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 I caught the end of the commentary when JB said we have alot of players out for Sat's game V WBA. Anyone catch what he said please?
David O'Leary Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Shite performance, haven't got a clue on how Burnley didn't score at least 5
Nod.E Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 If you looked at the start of the season and seen that we will beat 1st place 4-1. We will beat 3rd place 2-0 at their place and we'd score 3 away at chelsea. You'd think we would be walking this promotion lark.
Raj Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Shite performance, haven't got a clue on how Burnley didn't score at least 5 Cos it was our shit hot defence that kept them out!!!!

Rocky Dennis Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 anyone who says this is a good result needs their brain checked. lets face facts;we were dire another draw kenton/maybury in midfield playoffs? oh yeh Agree we were dire, and this club has massive problems but they could have won 15-1 by the sound of it. Therefore the FACT is,its a FANTASTIC RESULT!! My brain is fine by the way

Well said, we need another 4 or 5 players (good ones this time please) and to get rid of some to have any impact. And yes it was a good point by the sounds of it.
Sods Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 The pictures on the OS are a joke.Every one of them is a photo of Cort or Maybury. What a load of shit. That is a joke. Nice thank you to the away support really isn't it. A couple of pictures of carl cort and alan maybury.
STUHILL Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Just shows how poor we are and now I'm thinking we will struggle top half finish this season! We need a total overhaul...AGAIN!!! What a waste of another season!!
Thracian Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Well said, we need another 4 or 5 players (good ones this time please) and to get rid of some to have any impact. Four of five fast, skillful, pass and move footballers would make the world of difference and would also bring more out of the players who remain. But while so many others seem to find such players, look at the sad list of signings we've made in the last 12 months or so. How can a club of our calibre make so many glaring mistakes?

How can a club of our calibre make so many glaring mistakes? I want us to get RID of players before we buy any more!!! We must have one of the biggest and shittest squads in the League. And currently we are relying on the Youngsters!!! They are the future NOT the present. Turf out the crap and bring in QUALITY players who will get in the team, not sit on the fcuking bench. And its not MM's fault. He's openly funded his managers. They are the ones(Esp Mr Allen) who have bought aload of shite! You have to look at all of our ex managers of late and barring Megson, where are they now???? We have had shite managers who have bought shite players. Lets just hope that Holloway bucks that trend else we are in for more of the same.....

Simon Posted 4 December 2007 Posted 4 December 2007 Oh FFS. One minute, off the back of a half decent performance, everythings all a bed of roses and we're going to be be promoted, the next we're dire for a game or two and everythings shit again. What the hell are people expecting? Ollies got countless injuries and suspensions, has yet to be able to pick a fully fit first-choice eleven, and even then he's picking from players that aren't even ones hes brought in. He's changed a system that was clearly too defensive and he's trying to pick up as many points as he can. But of course he's not winning every game with tremendous performances, so he must be going wrong. He's been here FOUR fooking games for fooks sake. No it didn't sound pretty, I don't 100% agree with his team selection and Saturday wasn't great either but what were you expecting? Miracles to happen and Ollie to come in and turn it all around on a whim? For Gods sake, some of you are more up and down then a hormonal... you get the picture. Give it time!

But the type of players you talk about Thracian are what we are crying out for, and players like Clemence would come into their own with some sort of movement.
