Tommy G Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Is it just me or did anyone else find that tacle on L Y Pyo (or whatever his name is) abserloutely shocking, one of the worst tackles iv'e seen for a long time. The guys a willy puller. After lying about his grandma dying so he didnt have to play for his country and dropping his shorts after scoring the other week, who the hell does he think he is? Joey Barton in the making
Hugo Sanchez Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 Yep he is a cnut. Man City sure make some of the best of um.

Joey Barton in the making Actually, that was because his girlfriend had a miscarrige, and he didn't want everyone to know. Not exactly a bright thing to do, but still. Not really what you're making it out to be.
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 December 2007 Posted 9 December 2007 It's just a silly tackle, hardly the crime of the century.
Ultra Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 He was reckless, but the challenge was nowhere near as bad as the one by Diouf at Anfield last week.
purpleronnie Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Anyone else notice his hair. Rumour is hes wearing a wig to cover up a transplant until he hair rows in:- Info:- When we gave Stephen Ireland our usual Horror Hair treatment last week we thought we were just indulging in a little harmless mickey-taking at the expense of a guy who had clearly had some sort of baldness treatment/hair transplant. When we linked the mystery of his reappearing hair to the mystery of his reappearing grandmothers it was purely in jest. However, it now seems that Ireland's hair could be the real reason for his departure from the Republic of Ireland squad. After Grannygate and the eventual story that he had left the squad to join his girlfriend in Manchester after she suffered a miscarriage, it has now been reported that Ireland quit after being ribbed about his new found fringe. The Telegraph reports: "Now the Irish Mail on Sunday reports that the night before the match two of his team-mates, in a bout of banter that went wrong, pinned him to the floor and tried to see whether the sudden, unexplained growth of hair, where there had been a receding hairline, was the result of a transplant. The FAI deny the incident took place."

SamL Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 He's a very good player but it was an horrendous tackle. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes. I think some of Man City's senior players/management need to have a big talk with him.
act smiley Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Is it just me or did anyone else find that tacle on L Y Pyo (or whatever his name is) abserloutely shocking, one of the worst tackles iv'e seen for a long time. It was bad, but not a patch on the malicious demolition job that Marlon Harewood did on Shay Given's intestines. Of course, that happened around the time that Cech got that knock round the head accidentally, so nobody noticed.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 These sort of tackles will always happen with the pace that the Premiership is played at these days and the desperation every player has to win every ball by any means possible. Having said that, with a crackdown on two-footed tackles something might be achieved. In the mid-90s there was a crackdown on elbowing when jumping for headers and personally I don't think you see as many these days - and when you do they are fairly innocuous like Fryatt's.
The People's Hero Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Ireland is a pretty good player - I don't think any of it is malicious either.. Having said that, he does more than his fair share of poor challenges and poor off field decisions.
Simi Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Horrible tackle. The speed of it did not make it look any better. Agreed with whoever said about Diouf. The rule about the FA not been able to further punish if only a yellow is given really does need to be looked at.
The Reverend Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 It's a mans game. Horrendous tackle, but these things happen in the spur of the moment. Granted, he has previous, but hes a good player, just needs a good talking to.
WetFlannel Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 these things happen, it will be forgotten and im sure he'll learn from it...
Jack Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Awful challenge, But still he is young and hopefully he will learn from this, Very good player still.
Ultra Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Eboue on Downing anyone??? Deemed an "accident". Don't think all referees would've been as tolerant as Howard Webb though..
Micky Ruddle Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 He's got his head in the clouds. He's got to keep his feet on the floor. Cracking player IMO. Him and Johnson in midfield - :w00t:
Head Honcho Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 I am well pissed off with this ..................he's in my Dream Team
