Vestan Pance Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 No option for longer than the end of the season so no vote from me.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 December 2007 Author Posted 20 December 2007 Definately end of the season... cant see why anyone would be judging him now, 5 games is absolutely ridiculous But as you will see - people have voted for sooner - it wouldn't be polite for me to comment on these people Why not any longer than after the end of the season such as after the whole 3 years? Why can't we have longer than the end of the season? I was only saying "judging" as in having an opinion based on his results - wasn't saying he should be sacked by then! And if you still have no opinion after 3 years, well, then you must be one of these people who replies to polls as a "don't know" Quite amusing that for a thread termed "Not another Ollie out thread" each option in the poll results in Ollie being out.I choose none of the above. See the above pls. It actually says when will you be judging ollie. Cheers Teb! At last some gets what I was saying Though I am pleased to see the vast majority of us are being sensible and this has built my confidence in you guys!
Bluemoon Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Quite amusing that for a thread termed "Not another Ollie out thread" each option in the poll results in Ollie being out.I choose none of the above. Unfortunately the Walkers is not a democracy. MM's vote is the only one that counts, and he's already been forced to say publicly that Holloway has his support.
Ultra Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Unfortunately the Walkers is not a democracy. MM's vote is the only one that counts, and he's already been forced to say publicly that Holloway has his support. A dreaded "vote of confidence" - and less than reassuring, especially from THIS chairman.. But Holloway has to stay until the end of the season at least. We can't afford any more managerial upheaval. The main problem is the alarmingly high number of failing fcukwits we have on the payroll. Until they are moved on, we will continue to struggle, no matter who the manager is.
Daggers Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Change the thread to How Long For The Chairman and I'll be warming to the idea of the end of January if he doesn't dig deep.
James. Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 See the above pls. Sorry Trav Le Bleu. As I clarified later on I was a little worse for wear this morning and didn't read your poll with the care it deserved. In any case let's not fall out, you're my French forum-brother after all.

Geo V Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 We can make a judgment at the end of the season at the earliest but we wont really know much about him until Jan of next year as by then it would be "his team" and his players and he would have worked on them in pre-season. Anyone wanting him out now must be taking the pi$$ or be bonkers.
holloway out ! Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 just out of interest, how many of those 'players' did ian holloway bring to the club? point taken but he is not showing much ability in motivating or getting the best out of what he has. my key concern is that he has never been given a decent size cheque book before.plenty of akinbyi's out there !
Asha Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 point taken but he is not showing much ability in motivating or getting the best out of what he has.my key concern is that he has never been given a decent size cheque book before.plenty of akinbyi's out there ! To be honest though, I believe Holloway could motivate a tin of beans to a high standard. It just so happens that a tin of beans would outplay the current garbage. He needs to get his own players in, so it's more his team before we can judge his ability and motivational skills.
