Cal Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 This is the right way to go, Obviously we wont be able to shift the whole squad except 4 in January.. Presuming this guy is right.
Blue Bob Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 There is only 4 players that Ollie as decided to not make available, the rest can go if anyone wants them. One of the 4 is at present on loan. Sorry but this is just a little bit hard to believe. So your claim is we are keeping 4 and one of those is on loan ... I guess Fulop. So we keep three from out squad? So I guess we would say some of our better players are Hume, Clemence, Mcauley, but then why would we want to be rid of Weso, King, Sheehan, Mattock, A.chambers, J Chambers who are all young and up and coming but also on cheaper contracts. It doesnt add up. There is no way you can do a total rebuild of a team in January as there are not the numbers of players available or out of contract as there are in the summer. I dont believe Ollie is going to say 4 of you I am going to keep and the rest can bugger off, by the way 7 of you I have just upset please give your all against Wolves on Saturday. So with this in mind, sorry I dont believe you!!!
Cal Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Actually ive come to the conclusion the thread starter plays too much Football Manager
MPH Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Is Kisnorbo going? one of our defenders must be - cant think of any other reason why we would be sniffing around defenders....
Koke Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Kisnorbo is off to Fulham I'd presume. I don't know when his contract expires but if Fulham are offering 2 million or 2.5 million or whatever amount it was, then Ollie would cash in on him surely.

Elliot, walsh, taggart kind of player. Sure, Kisnorbo is a good defender but i dont see him as being too different to McAuley.. they are too similar to play together in a 4-4-2 which is why i think we have been leaking more goals recently...

Kisnorbo is probably the better defender, slightly better I'd say. But his passings and distributions are so diabolical it's not even funny.
FilboFox Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Ollie has told the players that he doesn't want them and that they will be sent home to look for new clubs! FINALLY the dross is going to be shifted ASAP! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7154407.stm
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 see ya kisnorbo Something tells me Megsons going to be in for him, he's forever going on about Boltons inabilty to defend, he's said he's in for defenders on MOTD. Kisnorbo played pretty well during Megsons time here and despite what we say about him as a manager we did keep alot of clean sheets under him. Megson seems to sign alot of players who have played under him before, if he was willing to sign Dobbie after being at WBA with him I don't see why he wouldn't go in for Kisnorbo.

Let Fulham and Bolton go into a bidding war and may the smartest best club win.
Cal Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Bloody hell, he dont fook around.. I wonder who they are
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Can you blame him...no. The rot stops here. Bar Clemence, Weso, Hume and some of the younger lads the rest have shown what there about, they can fook off
Kilworthfox Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Fulop with out saying really Hume Weso Mattock
FilboFox Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Bloody hell, he dont fook around.. I wonder who they are Can't wait to find out... looks like we'll be a bit lighter on squad numbers for the start of the year! WOOHOO!!! 'Bout fecking time that some of the CRAP that we have is got rid of!!!
Head Honcho Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 That's the way! Send them home to rot. I see no reason for them to be using the training ground if they ain't gonna improve.
Vo Rogue Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 If that was the case, my guess would be Fulop, Fryatt, Mattock and one from King/Weso/Campbell.Sheehan has had most effect this season overall but his lack of pace makes him hard to accommodate other than for his dead ball expertise and Holloway probably sees less value in that than I do because he's subbed him twice in two, albeit on the back of a booking both times. Mattock's done little of note but is "on the fast track" to better things. Cashing in on Kisnorbo would make sense as I cannot imagine he'd sign another contract. McAuley's lack of pace and passing ability won't have impressed, N'Gotty's getting on and that nonsense at Hull won't have helped his cause nor do I see that Clemence would have sold himself to anyone with his performances this season. Fryatt's contract will be winding down (he's showed himself to be too slow and limited as I expected) but Holloway says he likes him so you have to assume he'll want to retain him. Cort hasn't scored at all yet, Campbell is long term injured, Porter the same, MDV is out of the picture, Kishishev's not been wanted, Weso's too often injured and I just cannot imagine anyone else being so good the club couldn't be tempted to sell or offload. Holloway will want more strength, more pace, more skill and more end product. He'll also want the empty positions filled. He won't expect to sell everyone but will see what gets offered for whom and where that leaves him. It will also show him who of the existing players actually wants to stay and fight to be part of the set-up.
FilboFox Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Please keep Mattock! He's my favourite City player... I hope that he's pretty good on the pitch... never seen him in action. He does seem to be very motivated.
Bert Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Even if this is true which i don't think it is, there's only 4 players he will not sell if offers come in for them, doesn't mean everyone is leaving.
