DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Anyone tell me what formation we played though??? Because watching it on the telly, I couldn't tell who was doing what - it did seem a bit of a mis-mash at times!
Simon Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 I still think that yesterday was a good point for us. Yes, if John had have finished just one of those chances then we'd have taken all 3 but a point was a fair result IMO. We actually looked like a half decent side yesterday, or at least one that looked like it knew what it was doing. N'Gotty was excellent in front of the back four for 60 minutes, but should have been subbed after Eastwood and Keogh were brought on for the quicker Kenton, but I hope Ollie's learnt from this mistake. Still, some positive things to take into the festive fixtures and into the new year. Ipswich can't buy a win on their travels, let's hope we're not their first!

Somehow I think Ipswich will see a different Leicester after we were shamelessly given a goal and a player handicap by officials who totally ruined a potentially close and exciting game and are probably now spending their totally undeserved rewards on Christmas presents instead of giving their fees to charity to acknowlege what should be profoundd regret and embarrassment.
Bryn Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Formation was a something a bit like this Fulop McAuley KisnorboStearman---------------------MattockN'GottyChambers ClemenceFryatt HumeJohn And regarding the passing, I noticed that so often, our players seem surprised to have the ball at their feet - lack of confidence.

MPH Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Anyone tell me what formation we played though??? Because watching it on the telly, I couldn't tell who was doing what - it did seem a bit of a mis-mash at times! very fitting for this time of year... Christmas tree formation
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Despair at a draw away to Wolves? I think most of the promotion challenging teams would take that! Better performance, but not there yet.
Dr_Fox Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 I was not looking forward to this game being on sky because after Hull last week we really could've embarassed oursleves in front of the nation...turns out it wasn't as bad as I thought.....however: Our only goal came from a set piece (cracking though it was) and apart from that we wasted glorious opportunities. The play was poor...not holding on to possession..too much hoof ball...i think we really desperately need a striker who is strong in the air and can hold up the play if this is the way we are going to play away from home. Steve Howard would be ideal for the job! Hume and John aren't Pleased with a point but I thought Wolves were there for the taking today!
Asha Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 We would have definately taken a point before the game. We get one and we're disappointed. Just shows we could have won it today.
Matt Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 We would have definately taken a point before the game.We get one and we're disappointed. Just shows we could have won it today. Looking at our position before the game (2nd from bottom) I was saying it was a must win, normally i'd be happy with a draw against Wolves but thought it was a must win, after the match although I thought we probably just edged it and should have won I was fairly happy with the draw, It didn't do much to our position (3rd from bottom) but I wasn't too disappointed. I hate going into games thinking "Ah we'll be happy with a point", The idea is to win as many games as possible, going into games already accepting a draw is not a good mentality. EVERY game is must win, and in our position that statement couldn't be more true, unrealistic but the mentality we and the players should have.
