danny. Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 sounds like we played better tho, apart from a defensive gaff
B195 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 A win would have been great, but it seems to have been a better performance at least.
onetruefox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Needed the win,but played a lot better then usual.
davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Author Posted 22 December 2007 2 points down the pan or should I say John
Babylon Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Draw not enough Why? Did we need to win to stay in the league? Midfield needed asap... plus a striker who can control the ball with one touch and hold it up.
dandannieldanok Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Before the game I would have bit Wolves hands off for a point but too many times this happens, not taking chances.
shen Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Decent first half, and after sitting back for 90 minutes we ironically concede on the counter. Players that stood out in a positive sense: Hume, Kisnorbo, J. Chambers and Stearman. N'Gotty, Clemence, Mattock and John cannot be pleased with their performance today though...
WetFlannel Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 draws arent much use to us at the moment...
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 could have gone either way but a point is not a bad result! then performance was much improved, if we play like that until jan we will get out of trouble (ish)
Father Ted Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Why? Did we need to win to stay in the league?Midfield needed asap... plus a striker who can control the ball with one touch and hold it up. I'm basically saying we need to be getting more than draws now or else we will be in trouble, transfer window or not.
Babylon Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 draws arent much use to us at the moment... Why? We are only half way through the season.
sewelly6 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 1-1 Collins John had 2 chances. Should have been 3-1. SIGN A STRIKER QUICK. We need someone who can hold the ball up and Finish. that said better performance and work rate.
Bryn Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 The way we conceded is disappointing, all the moreso when you know that had we not conceded there, they'd had nothing else. They didn't have any real quality chances, despite all the jizzing done by the commentators (all they talked about was Wolves, like Leicester were the opposition. Might as well have listened to Radio Wolverhampton or whatever they listen to). Still, a decent enough performance, we were bad in places but we did our best to cover our weaknesses. If John wasn't such a poor finisher we'd have won by a street. Roll on January. We'll be alright, we won't go down.
WetFlannel Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Ollies reaction to the goal seemed fired up
AyewJoking Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Jolly good result considering I and many others had expected a thrashing today.
filbertway Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Is it me or are we shit, we can't actually keep possession of the ball for more than 5-10 seconds.

We have Elvis he is shit, we need a striker with many attributes, also this was John's 1st game back
shen Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 could have gone either way but a point is not a bad result!then performance was much improved, if we play like that until jan we will get out of trouble (ish) Are you serious? They were two very VERY ordinary sides and we didn't create more than 3 chances. We defend soundly enough, but we rely much too heavily on Fryatt or John making good runs to get openings. Apart from a single cross from Mattock we were harmless from the flanks, and it says a lot that Chambers was the most potent supply source from midfield... I can't see this team playing any better than we did today...

Pretty good performance all round - we do look okay away from home - we need to be harder to beat at home and we will start climbing the table.
WetFlannel Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Where are all the people saying Hume isnt good enough... hes dragging us through this Hume
Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Olly delighted with the reaction, does not want this to drop, they are dissapointed, should have made it 2 v 0, much better than last week, fair result, looked like a Holloway team, he thinks he can do alot to help LCFC, will see a lot of people coming in in the transfer window.
