You rang me when you were in ticket office saying there were no seats together in L, so me and LD3 were screwed! We were ready to move but couldn't. Are you suggesting that I screwed you both over? I gave you the info the T/O gave me at the time and you both made your choice! I do remember however that you wanted to move over to L1 but Ben did not. Also the top of L1 is still the same and there are seats available lower down.

He use to be loud as fook and still is when he go's. He started going again when the N block was started. But we are the new generation of city fans and we have all been there since we where young but know we are old enough to go with our mates home and away and we have got to keep trying to make a atmosphere. What else is better then being at football on a saturday afternoon with your mates and the atmosphere being electric ?

Id love it if the whole of south stand/kop, whatever you want to call it, stood up and belted chants out, but it just won't happen.

Will never happen because for some reason alot of people who sit in there are not in there to sing or to stand. The only way forward is to move the kop to the family end but that seems highly unlikely for some strange reason. Gonna try and move to L1.

I think it's also quite plausible that it could happen. I don't think anyone in their right mind can look at the Walkers on a matchday and think that moving some fans is going to create any trouble, the place is so placid. My Cov mate told me they're moving where some of their fans sit to try and improve atmosphere why can't we do the same? I've written a letter to the club about it but had no reply,but surely if say 500 hundred people did that they'd have to take notice?

People do write alot and people are meeting with people who run our club. We need a real voice though for our fans not the Foxestrust. Most people who want a better atmosphere are not trouble makers. Just people who like to enjoy going to a football game like me and you. Away games is where the atmosphere lies but we should have the right to make a atmosphere at home games and some banter with the away fans.

Sods Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I used to stand and sing in L1 until moving to N and the Kop. Due to the fact L1 got low in numbers and was pefectic. It probably is the best place in the ground but i may be tempted to go back there next season. There is spaces avaliable just lower down, get more people to stand and poteintially more singers.

It seems to me that there is going to come a time when we will have 2 sets of support, 1 set in the east stand (very optimistic) where you stand & sing and the rest for the shoooooooooooosh brigade. There is a growing feeling at LCFC especially for moving towards L1, I believe that this should be mentioned at your coming meeting with the LCFC officials. Possibly even go out side L1 and get names of those who stand and sing and again of those around you in the South stand and come up with an accurate number of the Leicester support who wish to stand & sing "like hooligan chavs".

My mate is a Spurs fan and said they've had less hassle from stewards since a larger group of supporters began standing, simply due to the fact it makes it harder to police. If 1,000 stand (yes I know this will never happen at the Walkers but you get the point) it renders telling a few individuals to sit down pretty pointless.

Back of K1 has been great whenever I've been in there and I've not had any hassle for standing while there. Personally, I prefer it to the back of the south stand, but that's just my opinion. Til the fooking club sees sense and opens up L1 to non-ST-holders!!

I looked over to K block at one point and there seemed to be more people standing and joining in with songs. I stood at the back of K towards the end of the 2005/06 season and very few people used to be in there standing and singing but I'm glad to see that the numbers seem to be increasing now!

That was why I really think Nblock would have worked but people just didn't seem to want it enough, oh and the fact that the club didn't really want it either. Take my dad for example, he stood in the pens at filbert street and I'm pretty sure he'll remember those memories till the day he dies. He still likes to stand at games, but doesn't like the hassle from the stewards. If I asked him (and just about anybody in the SOUTH STAND) to move to L1 then they'd say it's full of chavs, etc etc. But my dad and his mates moved over to Nblock - A clean slate, no reputation - and they really enjoyed themselves, apart from when the stewards waged in. The problem that L1 has is it's reputation, and as we all know, it's hard to change that, very hard. I don't know what the answer is, but I don't think L1 is it.

I was sat in the family stand when there was that trouble between Leeds and City supporters from L1 and that made me think I'd never go there, even though it seemed the place to be to create an atmosphere. I moved to the South stand the following season in search of a better atmosphere without the 'trouble' but soon realised that I wouldn't find that there. By January that season I'd moved to K and saw close-up that L1 wasn't as bad as I'd imagined it to be. This season is my second in L1, other than the few games in N last season, and I'm enjoying it there a lot. Everyone's there for pretty much the same reason. You get all sorts in there, it's not like there's a dress code to enter or anything like that. Anyway, I realise that it's not you who has a problem with L1, just a preconceived idea that others have.
