Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 This is it. Hands down. Every week I'm waiting for the right-backs to come out of central midfield and the strikers to stop playing on the wing but it just keeps on happening. We've got no pace in the team whatsoever. NINE of the eleven players who started today were at the club last season. One of the other two is a 35-year-old striker who started on the right wing today for some obscure reason. We've never had a midfield this season, the goal threat is always minimal, we never get in behind opposition defences and to top it all off now the defence is starting to fall apart. The defending for the five goals we've conceded in our last two games has been absolutely diabolical. Southampton showed how simple it is today. 4-4-2, get some quick players down the flanks and try and get in behind the opposition full-backs. Two no-nonsense central midfielders who will keep things ticking over. It's not difficult - and yet our formation went from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to 5-2-3 today!! We had just as many formations at QPR on Tuesday. It's a recipe for disaster. We're actually trying to accommodate Barry Hayles in a team by playing players out of position. It's incredible. No excuses now Holloway. Clemence is back, you've signed a left winger who you say is great. If I see a right-back in midfield or Fryatt or Hayles on the wing again this season, you can f**k off.

We were warned about the lack of tactical ability.....but I did not expect foolhardy naiivety
Dames Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Don't worry we'll sign another striker that we'll have to accomodate. I just hope we can sign some midfielders and shift at least some of the shit at the club.
filbertstreetboy Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 looks like we should of gone for the other westcountry boss, gary johnson is doing wonders at bristol city and only just lost to boro today in an open end to end game really gets me down when i think how far we are off teams like bristol city tho :-(

Clemence was suspended today, and the new lad was innelegible (can't spell that I know)
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2008 Author Posted 5 January 2008 Clemence was suspended today, and the new lad was innelegible (can't spell that I know) Now. No excuses now. Not before the game. From now on.
barmy76uk Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 Now. No excuses now. Not before the game. From now on. Holloway out worst team and worst manager ever!
l444ry Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 At last. Welcome to the club, Fez. When you accept that Mandaric is a plonker you'll be finally there.

There's just no getting away from it. The benchmark for me is how we have performed since we were last relegated. We've been poor. But this season we've been even worse.
Maybes Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We did miss Clem today. yes this is the worst team ihave ever seen! we offernothing going forward and are a shambles at the back!
Joe. Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 The thing that annoyed me most today was the lack of movement, it was just non existent. Nobody wanted the ball and it was very frustrating. This has been the downfall of Leicester City in recent seasons. Southampton today showed what can be done with passing football without even playing very well. Not impressed.
Scow Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 No worries Pericard will sign on Monday Yes! Fuc king come on!
Mikey Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 We did miss Clem today. Yup, this just shows that we do need him and he is not a 'waste of space'. He is one of the very few players that are actually decent enough to play in this poor league. Or maybe most are good enough but only when played in their proper position

Rules of Statues or LCFC Tactics The game is played by 11 players with 5 substitutes allowed. It's best played at 3.00pm on a Saturday against 11 other players. One player is the Goalkeeper the rest of the players are statues. A referee and 2 assistants control the game, the referee places a ball on the ground and the game commences. The object of the game is to get control of the ball and place it in the opposing team’s goal – This must be done without moving. When players don’t have possession of the ball they can move as much as the like in trying to get possession; as soon as this is achieved they must not move. They winning team is the team that places the ball in their opponents net the most times. NB: the team that cheats the most by moving when they have the ball usually achieves this.

Daggers Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 When one accepts Mandaric's plonker, what does one do next? Bi-curious, huh?
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 When one accepts Mandaric is a plonker, what does one do next? "Please hold the line, the person you're trying to reach is currently unavailable..."
Ozwin Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 People on this forum try too hard to be loyal fans who never say anything bad against their team. I agree with the TC, it's terrible. We have a lot of potentially great youngsters like Mattock, Wesolowski, Sheehan, Stearman, but having them ALL in the first team is crazy. They're not good enough and as I wouldn't say it's the worst team we've EVER had, I'd say it comes close if we include all of these inexperienced youngsters who aren't even being confident and taking on players like you'd expect. Feel free to bash me though you loyal lot, you.
