Worst Leicester team I've ever seen

I'm biro-curious myself.

Just how that ink stays in there is beyond me.

Exactly why I never inhaled...

You suck on one of those bad boys and there's a whole mouthful of trouble ahead.

People on this forum try too hard to be loyal fans who never say anything bad against their team.

I agree with the TC, it's terrible. We have a lot of potentially great youngsters like Mattock, Wesolowski, Sheehan, Stearman, but having them ALL in the first team is crazy. They're not good enough and as I wouldn't say it's the worst team we've EVER had, I'd say it comes close if we include all of these inexperienced youngsters who aren't even being confident and taking on players like you'd expect.

Feel free to bash me though you loyal lot, you.

The youngsters are no more to blame than the experienced ones, players are players young or old you can't just lump one lot together and blame them for all our ills.

It is certainly up there for me. I just can't beleive that every week I fill myself with hope and expectation that this might be the week that we turn it round. It never is, I'm beginning to think that it never will be either.

There is a distinct lack of balance in the team at the moment and it really is costing us dearly. Why we started with Hayles on the right I never know. Playing four strikers on the pitch is all well and good if they actually plan on getting in decent positions. Hayles made it easy for Southampton to keep him out of the game, no pace to go round anyone, always forced inside where we were never going to be a threat.

We've seen a lot of players come and go over the last few years and it's not helped us one little bit.

I want players to play for the club, not themselves and their wage packet.

There is still so much work to do with this team and it will take much longer than the rest of this season to sort it out.

This is it. Hands down. Every week I'm waiting for the right-backs to come out of central midfield and the strikers to stop playing on the wing but it just keeps on happening. We've got no pace in the team whatsoever. NINE of the eleven players who started today were at the club last season. One of the other two is a 35-year-old striker who started on the right wing today for some obscure reason.

We've never had a midfield this season, the goal threat is always minimal, we never get in behind opposition defences and to top it all off now the defence is starting to fall apart. The defending for the five goals we've conceded in our last two games has been absolutely diabolical.

Southampton showed how simple it is today. 4-4-2, get some quick players down the flanks and try and get in behind the opposition full-backs. Two no-nonsense central midfielders who will keep things ticking over. It's not difficult - and yet our formation went from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to 5-2-3 today!! We had just as many formations at QPR on Tuesday. It's a recipe for disaster.

We're actually trying to accommodate Barry Hayles in a team by playing players out of position. It's incredible.

No excuses now Holloway. Clemence is back, you've signed a left winger who you say is great. If I see a right-back in midfield or Fryatt or Hayles on the wing again this season, you can f**k off.

"I've just started to put it right and I have a few irons in the fire, and I hope to sign at least four players this week"

Bring back Martin Allen or even Peter Taylor than this fool Holloway,i would rather Dennis Wise be the manager than this bold headed tosser!

If you think our current situation is 100% holloways doing then you are a bigger spanner than I previously thought.

I feel sorry for the bloke walking into this hell hole of a club.

What a load of crap you are talking!!!

You seriously believe Martin Allen is better than Holloway???

Or Peter Taylor???

Note that Peter Taylor is now managing Stevenage i believe (clearly found his level, also signed Benjamin and spent 5 million on Akinbyi, what genius decisions they were) and Allen hasnt got a job as far as i'm aware which means no one wants him!

I keep repeating myself on this in a load of pages but Holloway has the same dross as the 2 previous managers with the exceptions of Hayles and Howard. So until we get some decent players in we will continue to play like crap. And we severely need midfielders in so they can get the ball to the likes of Hayles and Howard. Give Holloway a break and try to be true fans and support your club!!! At the end of the day, he picks the side and if that side arent good enough, then you need to look to the previous managers for their buying!!!!

Why?

Are you a friend of his?

I'm sure he's very good at the club he is at now. He actually scored yesterday i think, but he is not premiership or even championship class. Thats not me having a dig at him, thats just a fact.

I agree with all that. Barring the last few words of the last sentance.

We did miss Clem today.

Absolutely no creativity in midfield yesterday. How do you expect to win, when you don't have a creative midfield. Are gonna sign Kavanagh then? It's been a week since Mandaric said its nearly a done deal.

Fooking Useful, we're absolute bollocks.

Relegation is certainly on the cards. I think we may go down. I have lost the faith. The last 3/4 seaons have been dire, and no-one wants to play for the club, they are playing for their pay packets. They all gotta go. And Mandaric's not made any impact whatsoever. Infact, we've been worse. We've deteriated. Keep Ollie in, but new squad, new owner.

Its primarily Martin Allen's fault we are in this mess this season. Signing 15 players, many of whom in the same position, who have contributed fu ck all to the team. There appeared to be no planning to his signings and certainly didnt address problem areas of the squad, i.e wingers. Every day i looked in anticipation hoping we were going to sign a wide player, instead I looked on in horror as we spend £2.1m on DJ Campbell and clogged up our squad with midfield nobodies (Hellings, Ka'abi) and old journeymen (Cort, Kishishev). When a wide player was eventually signed, in Jonathan Hayes, it was a a young player still trying to find his feet, who had only played a handful of league 2 games in his whole professional career, and when you then look at Bristol City who signed McIndoe for peanuts, our player recruitment strategy in the summer was hopeless !

I think one of the many problems with our current squad is that the players who have been here for the past few seasons now have a losing mentality, and are used to playing football in a leicester city shirt and losing. The likes of Hume, Fryatt, Kisnorbo, McAuley, Sheehan and Stearman, who ive stood by in the past, aint good enough to take us forward, and the sooner Ollie realises this, the better.

Two things, first we don't know who was responsible for those signings there are many indications to say they weren't all down to Allen. Secondly this club is obviously finding it difficult to attract decent midfield players as we've had none for 4 years and Ollie hasn't exactly found it easy.

A decent manager should be able to overcome this losing mentality Ollies done nothing so far to demonstrate he's able to lift moral, if anything it's gone backwards. He needs to accept some of the blame for our continued lack of progress.

As far as i was aware, Mandaric only bought N'Gotty to the club, or so i read a while back. The night that Mandaric held the "clear the air talks" with the fans, i'm sure i read somewhere that he said he only bought N'Gotty in an no one else! I think!

What he said was that N'gotty was the only one that Allen didn't know about before he was signed, that clearly leaves the option that others could have been palmed onto Allen by McKay or Mandaric with Allen having no say in the matter but knowing it was going to happen.

Not fact I grant you but the opportunity was there, also why were McKay and Fucchilo sacked?

Anyway this is old news and just adds to the list of excuses that managers can use, suffice to say Megson got more out of the same players that Ollie has.

I wasnt 100% sure! My bad!

That's very true, I wonder why Frank Burrows couldn't keep it going? Same tactics.

They were certainly organised, committed and difficult to beat. As Aston Villa found out among others.

I honestly think Holloway's media comments have rebounded together with his public distancing of certain players, his constant team changes and his sometimes bizarrre positional selections.

Holloway was bound to make mstakes but I didn't expect so many own goals.

I think the main reason why we havnt been able to get decent midfielders to this club is that we have been skint for the past few years, so have had to scrape the barrel with the likes of Josh Low, Andy Johnson and Stephan Hughes. But last summer, for the first time in ages, we had the opportunity to spent some cash on players who could actually improve the team and take it forward. Im not saying it was all Allens fault, im sure Mandaric had a big say in some transfers, but key positions were not identified by Allen and he wasted a massive opportunity.
