Scow Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 Hoof the scout does it again. We do need some pace upfront, but more importantly we need a finisher. Not as good as his brother Luke, but a good player nonetheless. Didn't make much of an impact at Millwall this season though.

Hopefully he'll score us some goals!
davieG Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 The link doesn't work for me. I see it not yet on the OS Doesn't sound too impressive. Leicester City have signed striker Stefan Moore on loan from Aston Villa. 21 year old Moore has played just one game for Villa this season. He'll be available for Sunday's FA cup quarter final match against Blackburn Rovers. Aston Villa's official website is reporting that Moore has signed for two months. His goalscoring record isn't great - just two goals in 13 starts, plus 23 as substitute. He's failed to score during previous loan spells at Chesterfield and Millwall.
Alexikokopops Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 http://leicester.cc/content/view/36/ Another link there. Edit: Whoops, davieg beat me to it.
Little Nicky Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 4 Strikers at the club then with a collective total of 7 this season! (All of them being from Connolly!) Doesn't bode well for the rest of this season, hopefully we can see a goal or 2 at the weekend!

I think it's fair to say he's come from a good pedigree and he can't be any worse than Connolly, MDV or Wright. He's a good age and he's got a massive point to prove like McCarthy and Hughes have. I'm pleased to see him here, let's hope the free transfer still stands aswell if he does the business. Levein continues to impress me and I also think he might read this forum what with Kenton and Moore being signed after recommendations from myself. Throw enough shit and it will stick.
breadandcheese Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 Levein continues to impress me and I also think he might read this forum what with Kenton and Moore being signed after recommendations from myself.Throw enough shit and it will stick. In which case, I think Levein should sign me as a striker and put me on £5,000 per week. Can you put a word in for me Hoof. Failing that, if you are reading Craig, why not give Canero a chance down the right? He hasn't let us down when he's played, and in a 3-5-2 (which we've been using a little bit recently) would do a good job. With regards Stefan Moore, don't know if he can cut the mustard, but good idea to bring him in on loan to see.
Collymore Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 he looks a little light weight to me at 10 stone something. We need a strong striker who can head the ball. MDV would be perfect if he could head. Thats try and pursade Shearer to have one last season with us

Mark Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 Looking forward to seeing Moore and Connolly up front then. I think De Vries should still play on Sunday even though he's been awful, mainly because it worked against Charlton. Although what worries me is Tommy Wright has a better goalscoring record than him
Hazza Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 I'll give him a chance but i'm not sure if he's going to be the regular goalscorer we need. Didn't do much at Millwall and the fact that he's not got much of a look in at a Villa side who've been without Vassell for months, Angel at the start of the season and Carlton Cole recently, doesn't look promising.
Frenzied Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 Don't necessarily think his stint at Millwall should be anything to go on. Firstly he got injured but also Millwall (unlike Leicester) aren't the kind of team that win matches by creating lots of chances - they tend to kick teams off the park to get results. So maybe Leicester, with the hundreds of chances we create, is the right sort of team for Moore. If he can finish and get in the right positions that's all we need.
TrickyTrev Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 Woo, a striker! Please score goals. 77237[/snapback] Strikers are supossed to score goals? Thats a novel concept.

Ricey Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 I'm very pleased with this. He is a player with potential and the kind of striker we need...one with pace and one who can be a THREAT. I've seen him a few times and thought he looked a decent player.
Solihullfox Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 According to various Vile fans I have the misfortune to work with, Stefan and Luke are both fantastic prospects but haven't really had much of a run to get used to the pace of Premier football. Another case of young Brits not getting a chance because of all the foreign imports. This lad fits the Levein bill - young, potentially good but with a point to prove. Let's hope the lad is fired up, performs and chooses to forge a career at LCFC. This is a very promising young man who we could get long term on the cheap. Wouldn't it be nice to hear a commentator on Sunday saying something along the lines of " the winner in stoppage time for Stefan Moore, he only joined on loan on Friday and sends Leicester to the semi final " Come on
SamuearlJackson Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 if only we'd signed him through the internet the comparison with Wycombe would have been great!

Ric Flair Posted 11 March 2005 Posted 11 March 2005 CL has said that there's a chance we could sign him permanently if he does the business for us. That's good news, there's nothing worse than having a player onloan who does brilliantly and then leaves for another club ala Bent! He's tall He's quick he'll make Savage look a **** Stefan Moore Stefan Moore
