davieG Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Well if he's not good enough for League 1 and Wise he must be good enough for us! Kish set for a Foxes return By Phil Hay Radostin Kishishev will return to Leicester City when his loan at Leeds United expires on January 23. The Bulgarian midfielder has failed to make a serious impact at Elland Road after agreeing to a second spell under Dennis Wise in October, and United's manager has no plans to extend the deal beyond the end of this month. Leeds recruited central midfielder Neil Kilkenny from Birmingham City on Friday, and a string of players are expected to arrive at Elland Road during the January transfer window, leaving little room for Kishishev. The 33-year-old, who enjoyed an influential spell with Leeds last season, has made only seven appearances for United this term and has been hampered by niggling injury problems. He will rejoin Leicester after the clash with Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road on January 19. Wise said: "I brought in Kish because I was struggling, and Kish will go back on the 23rd. "He's okay about that and he understands what I'm looking for. I'm trying to get younger blood here."
SamL Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 He didn't exactly set us alight when he played for us did he? Although, i'd rather play Kish than Kenton in Centre mid. He was our best player in what was a dire performance when we played Charlton away this season. Can't see him staying though.
MikeyT Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Great news...He will set the Championship alight!!!! Cant even get in the Leeds first team, that bodes well for us!! Maybe he will feel he has something to prove back here and play amazing!!

I thought he was pretty awful at Charlton personally, although obviously everyone else was too - so maybe he could have been viewed as marginally less awful than everyone else. He's been a massive disappointment, I thought he'd be good when we signed him but it seems like his legs have gone. Shame cos we're now going for Kavanagh who's even older when if Kish had been any good we wouldn't have needed him. And Kavanagh could be even worse.
Raj Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Why the long face? Thats what The Barman said to The Horse who went in for a drink in his pub.... Im just excited again by the prospect of Kishi in a Leicester shirt, playing his heart out for us and entertaining the fans with his silky skills......

Might be worth another go though. Having said that, I think his legs might genuinely have gone.

He was pretty awful that game but he was still our best player because everyone else played so shite. It's a shame he couldn't replicate his form from Leeds last season. I think signing Kavanagh would be a big mistake. His legs have gone, he'd be another Kish only we'll have actually paid for him.

Thracian Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 I'm sick of hearing how the Kishishevs and Kavanaghs "might do a job" or "might be worth another go". Why not get Davie Gibson up from Dorset too? He'd probably still be better than the lot of em. I've yet to see a player of over 28 arrive at Leicester in recent times and not be a disappointment. Even N'Gotty's not been quite the player I hoped for but at least he's put a shift in. I see nothing progressive about going back to Kishishev. The bloke's never even looked fit since he's been here.

Who says we are, he's being sent back by Wise, we aren't recalling him.
wirralsimon Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Does this mean DeVries will be back soon too? Simon
Micky Ruddle Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 I'm pleased at reading this news. Get a decent midfielder in.
Daggers Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Cant even get in the Leeds first team, that bodes well for us! That implies that Leeds are worse than us, they aren't. They'd wipe the floor with us currently which is why a bit player that is too slow and too ill rarely made the grade for them. Whereas we had no one to play midfield that could do anything like a job. He would have been handy the last few games (despite the fact that I reckon he is shit, he is less shit that some of the alternatives we used).
The Stig Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 He can't be any worse than what we've already got, and at least he's a mid feilder. Give him a go, it'll be nice to see a center mid play at center mid.
brookfox Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Bl00dy hell, at this rate (plus the midfielders we've been linked with) we'll have to start playing a midfielder at right back just to accommodate them all!
He's not bald Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 If he plays amazing for us,i'll grow my hair like Ian Ormonpops!!! So will I and I can't!

Thracian Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 I do hate that turn of pharse.Of course he can. I'd agree but there's one or two this season who would test the theory!
