Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Let's clear the air a bit, shall we? I'm getting a bit confused on who our January transfer targets are. We've got so many names flying around the message boards form all sorts of sources, some reliable...some very unreliable. Who do we have a realistic chance of signing, IF we plan on signing them at all?
dandannieldanok Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Rivaldo I saw him in Morrisons................honest
Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 Oh, was that the guy in the 2002 World Cup that had a ball booted at his leg... and he held his face... Strange how you remember people! We could do with a Brazilian in the side anyway, would make us look good...even though Rivaldo has lost his touch in recent years.
Fox You Forest Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 even though Rivaldo has lost his touch in recent years. And his hair.
Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 That as well, like most Brazialians when the lose their footballing skills. *anxiously waits for Ronaldinho's hair to fall out* Any others?
Filberts lovechild Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 We seem very keen on the Sheep Shaggers team at the moment so I wouldn't be surprised if we put in a sneaky bid for Earnshaw. He hasn't had many opportunities this season and is proven at Championship level. I recall from memory, I may be way off the mark here, but wasn't he top scorer in the division last season?? Got a mate (or associate lets say) who' a D*rby fan and he reckons he could be gone by the end of January, he doesn't fit into Jewells plans! I know what your thinking, another striker, but hey, a very very good one at this level!!

Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 Pathetic isn't it? It's like they get paid to build up their stamina then trip over a flippin' blade of grass... Wait a minute...they do! Maybe taking the Sheep Shaggers' players is the ideal way of sending them down... *hides blueprint of which Derby players to buy* Quite hard to believe that we are on about the same Earnshaw that has hardly featured this season, not a bad option. Mind you, we already have Howard and Hayles, who did have goals on their home débuts... Would be quite the addition.
ronnup Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I love this. A thread about realistic transfers becomes a thread about Rivaldo.

Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 Not what I intended but that's life... *....Checking on the bright side of life (whistles)....* Any more which can sort be counted as realistic?
FoxesFan123 Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Kavanagh Osbourne Players from Sunderland, Birmingham or Derby. We've signed about 7 players from them 3 teams already this season haven't we?(including Fulop and Clarke)
STUHILL Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Earnshaw would be a great buy! Would have to get rid of Fryatt though, and have the two big men of Hayles and Howard and then Hume and Earnshaw. Would be a great attack force for the Championship!
Bezzanator89 Posted 14 January 2008 Author Posted 14 January 2008 We have technically got Osbourne, just having to wait until he's fit again. Kavanagh would be something if we got him, but something tells me that Sunderland may be reluctant to let him go... Earnshaw would be good to join us, depends if he wants to come back down to Championship level again. Fryatt will have to go soon because to me, is just a League One striker. Nothing more.

Agreed about Fryatt, this may pave the way for him leaving. Did I hear Wolves wanted him for £1mill in the summer? Well lets get on the phone to Mick! Earnshaw isn't getting a chance at Prem level, get him in I say!

Mort Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Agree on Earnshaw, don’t see why Derby wouldn’t be willing to let him out on loan he's not getting games with them in the prem but then again maybe he's a player Jewell actually wants to keep hold of... But with Howard, Hayles and then Hume, with DJ coming back from injury a fast striker could come in handy and Earnshaw would certainly help address that, leaving us with two target men, two strikers with pace and a busier player in Hume... all in all a nice mix up front.
Raj Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 John Arne Riise...oh ah i wanna knowwwww how you scored THAT goal.... Or D i Canio...........D I Caniooooooo (D I S C O!!!) COOFFEE OVERLOAD!!!!!
MikeyT Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 I know its a thread about realistic transfers, but just had to add this which i thought was funny being that people are still talking about Rivaldo! This is from the pile of bollocks that is Footballrumours "Robert Earnshaw will join Leicester for £3,000,000. The club are also trying to make a bid for Rangers Barry Ferguson". Also still mentions Rivaldo will sign for us on Wednesday or Thursday!! ROFLOL
maddog Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Leroy Lita? Scored 14 or summat goals last season in Prem. Hasn't played for Reading this season, unhappy and wants to leave. Coppell says he has had no calls from anyone who wants him. We could offer him huge wages to come here Would be a great signing and would leave Fryatt, Hammond, De Vries not needed. Is Lita a realistic target? I guess he would be at least £4m especially if Fulham are offering £5m ish for Marlon King.

maddog Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 Wayne Routledge. A great Championship midfield player who would give us that extra option. Lets face it if Bori and Zsolt get injured we are in a mess. Apparently QPR have bid for him so surely we could get him? Ryan Giggs on Loan? From what ive seen of him this season it seems he has had his time and isn't good enough, certainly not for Man Utd.

Bollox that he ain't good enough for Man U...
