The Stig Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I saw on the thread about the letter to the chap from LCFC that the writers of the letter wanted to cut goal celebration music. I personally would hate that as I think the chelsea dagger music really adds to the atmosphere and it's a great feeling to be jumping around like an idiot to that music when we score. What does everyone else think. Oh and by the way this isn't a "what music should be played when we score" thread, it's a "SHOULD music be played when we socre thread".
Hugo Sanchez Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Music is shit for football. Lets just go back to the old WHO R YA WHO R YA. When we score.
Floating Fox Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Personally no. If your going to play music, at least make it original to your club (i.e Post Horn Gallop). Chelsea Dagger is played at some many clubs and is so annoying because they only play it when your so happy (Just scored a goal).
Simi Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 For me, it's a no. I think Chelsea Dagger is something that so many clubs have adopted, it's just part of been the perfect plastic club. I understand some people think it improves the atmosphere. But I think it kills any atmosphere that is created by the fans after a goal, which is one of the things I love in football. When you hear an away team score at the Walkers, tell me that doesn't sound great? Even though we've just conceded.

Especially if it's a full allocation.
davieG Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Definitely NO if I want to hear piped music i'd get a job in a factory or something and for live music I'd go to a concert. Do they thry have people playing keepy uppy at rock concerts - of course not.
Sods Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No. How good was it at Chelsea when we scored and all you could hear was a loud cheer for a long period of time, it sounded imense, you cant take those memories away. But with music being played over it, you would never of had this memory.
Ultra Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Definitely NO if I want to hear piped music i'd get a job in a factory or something and for live music I'd go to a concert. Hear, hear!

Bellend Sebastian Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 It kills the crowd noise, and as soon as the music stops (still only seconds after a goal is scored) you get: silence. The fact that they play something so crap just makes it worse
Tevez Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Yes. 'This is how we do' by The Game , should be played when we score. (or chase the sun)
Hugo Sanchez Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Music is just part of the america crap they try and put into our game. Next it be 4 quarters and music being played when the game is being played.
Foxhateram Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 PHG. i go absolutely mad when my team socres wether its the team i manage, the team i play for, the local first team. I dont care if im the only one the atmosphere created by one person in a stupid little stand is unbeleivable at the first team matches!! i love it. music would drown me out i dont want that!!! i like to make myself heard haha. At leicester there is to much music, as much as i like chelsea dagger i dont think its unique enough for our extremely unique club. Crowd singing would be much better. we can sing chelsea dagger without the PA
vim23 Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 A big fat NO. Music being played is another example of trying to manufacture atmosphere. Atmosphere is best when it comes naturally like Birmingham 2nd half last season.

Messi Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 i think we should have 'when your smiling' so we can have a good sing-a-long oj i actually like 'chelsea dagger'
Maybes Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I dislike it as after the music is stopped the majority of people sit down, when they should be singing their hearts out instead.
Kilworthfox Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I meant No, and voted no No Never It was trivual to start with now its just shit!
