Floating Fox Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I notice how all the people who said yes are the new generation of fans. Shows you where it's heading
Lord Nibblington Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 God No. Whoever first thought this was a good idea needs shooting.
Sods Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I notice how all the people who said yes are the new generation of fans. Shows you where it's heading Indeed You even here music at non league games now. Its laughable
Jack Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No. I liked it at first, but now too many clubs have it.
DB11 Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No Never It was trivual to start with now its just shit! ?
Messi Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 is we are goin to have music at least have something that no other club has got... most teams have the chelsea dagger even though i like it i think we should choose something that will make us the only club that has it
Mikey Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No. The fans should make it a good enough occasion when we score on their own. Also, Chelsea Dagger is played by too many clubs.
Floating Fox Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No. The fans should make it a good enough occasion when we score on their own. Also, Chelsea Dagger is played by too many clubs. Also everyone looks like a cnt when they dance around to it.
Joe. Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 You don't need music to create an atmosphere when you score. I don't mind music for when the players come out (would be nice to have the old PHG back) but there's no need for goal music. Especially when it's the same everywhere you go. So it's a no for me.
Koke Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Yes.'This is how we do' by The Game , should be played when we score. (or chase the sun) I concur.
woznotwos Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 When the music stops , its like a sign for lots of fans to stop cheering and take to there seats,an atmosphere killer!!!! nononono!!!!!!!! and i heard it at the weekend on match of the day, cant remember the team but it was so corny i wanted to vomit!!!
Koke Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No music of course is the best thing. When away fans score and they go absolute ballistic, it looks great.
Raj Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 We should have bursts of machine gun fire from randomn areas of the crowd. you know like they do in Arabian type countries when some shit is going off politically!! It would be well fun!!!
Fox You Forest Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I voted yes but, only if we choose an original song that nobody else uses. Given the choice of Chelsea Dagger or no music i would have no music.
Micky Ruddle Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Not before the build-up, but when we score, it's ideal, but not before. As Ched said, it doesn't give us the chance to get behind the team before the kick-off. By the way, wrong thread, i know, but was a good letter Ched
Jimmy Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I quite like the playing of Hey Jude just before KO but it would be better if we carried it on for a while after the music stops
lcfc_jme Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 I've long believed music should not be played when we, or anybody else for that matter, score. It's way too Americanised for my liking, more NBA and NFL than Football. Fans should be left to make their own noise after a goal - as has already been said on this thread the noise and atmosphere in the away end at the Walkers when the away side score is quality, no music, plenty of noise and I'm sure many people would like to be involved in it.
Tommeh Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Stick sugababes - about you now on and I'm keen. But chelsea dagger is plyed at way too many clubs and represents the plastic tin pot club which seems to be sweaping the nation and I hate to admit it but we're quickly becoming one.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 No. Playing music during goal celebrations reminds me of places devoid of atmosphere in the Premiership. Teams like Bolton, Boro and Fulham. It's all a bit too Americanised for me.
mancunianfox Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Given a choice of music or no music I would go with having none. If they insist on having music then they should play something like Kasabian which at least has some connection to the club. Chelsea Dagger is not the only anthemic song released in the last few years.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 The first time I was at a game when they played Chelsea Dagger (aka Goalmuzak) and people started chanting it, I thought "hang on! The next 2 words are 'Chelsea! Chelsea!' we can't have that!" But we do So a no from me. HOWEVER... if we came up with something clever and particular to the club, then I could be swayed!
tbf Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 no music pre-match, come out of the tunnel to PHG, no music post-goal
