STUHILL Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Hopefully another team doesn't buy him before us. He is a great keeper and worth paying 1-2million for, but no more!
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 ..... to leave....http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3075460,00.html Roy Keane is a piece I feel for the bloke but he's Keanes player and Keane can do what he wants with him I'm afraid.
Bert Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Fulop returned to the Stadium of Light in December after he was recalled from his loan at Leicester City by manager Roy Keane. The Hungarian goalkeeper impressed during his time with Leicester, and Foxes boss Ian Holloway has since enquired about signing him on a permanent basis. However, Leicester had a bid of £1million rejected earlier this month, with Keane holding out for a fee of £3million. Fulop feels the valuation is unrealistic, and is aware that he may have to be loaned out again in order to find first-team football. Not happy "I had a very good time at Leicester. While the team was not too successful, we conceded the least goals in the Championship," he told skysports.com. "After some games I became one of the fans' favourites and at the end of my loan period they were shouting my name in the stadium. "I was happy because the fans and the club also wanted me to stay permanently but the two teams couldn't agree about me. "It's true that Sunderland is in the Premier League but apart from this I wasn't very happy to be recalled by Roy Keane. "It's an honour that he [Keane] asked £3million for me but it's too high an amount for a goalkeeper. Departure "Roy Keane told me that he'd sell me only permanently in January so I'm sure I won't leave the team this month. "But in February I plan to talk to him and ask him to loan me. My contract expires in two-and-half-years but I think I am going to leave Sunderland no later than this summer. "If I'm not loaned in February then I'll do my best and push Craig Gordon from behind. I'll let him know that I'm here and I can challenge him at any time. "There are teams interested in me from the Premier League and some clubs from the top of the Championship are very seriously keen on me." Whatever floats your boat Marton.
JakeShingler Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 i wouldnt pay more than 2 mil for Fulop but he is great
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 i wouldnt pay more than 2 mil for Fulop but he is great I don't see why Roy Keane is "TIT" for attempting getting as much as he can for a player. In fact I believe it is one of the things he is paid to do. Why should he do us any favours??
Simi Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 I don't see why Roy Keane is "TIT" for attempting getting as much as he can for a player. In fact I believe it is one of the things he is paid to do. Why should he do us any favours?? Because he's been forever complaining about Reading wanting to much for Hunt.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Because he's been forever complaining about Reading wanting to much for Hunt. So what? Thats his job, Holloway will complain about having to play 3 million for Fulop but should someone come in for Kisnorbo he isn't going to let him go cheap is he. Swings and roundabouts.

breadandcheese Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 So what? Thats his job, Holloway will complain about having to play 3 million for Fulop but should someone come in for Kisnorbo he isn't going to let him go cheap is he. Swings and roundabouts. I disagree a little with that. A manager needs to be fair with his players. Compare Holloway to Keane. Holloway told the squad from the start everyone would start from a clean sheet and get a chance to impress. He was true to his word. Players who were not needed, he released so that they could get on with their careers rather than languish in the reserves doing nothing. These are players who have been paid up in full. Not forgetting Holloway defending Carl Cort for his effort after he returned from a sick bed to play. Compare this to Keane. Keane has no intention of playing Fulop (he's not going to put his third choice keeper in ahead of a £9 million signing) and despite the player wanting first team football, to get on with his career and improve his lot, Keane has slapped an unrealistic fee on the player's head. So a player has his career in limbo as he cannot leave and he won't get first team football.
STUHILL Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 he's just a tit in general, i think. Yes I've always thought he was a 'TIT' mainly because of my hate for Man U but also he doesn't do himself any favours! Sorry if TIT is the wrong word, but I can't stand the guy.
lavrentis Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Ever since his tackle on Halland I have thought of him as a 'tit'.

morris1234 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 well alnwick is only on loan and if he doesnt want to join permanently i suggest we look into him again later on when keanes not being a cock!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 he's just a tit in general, i think. Yes I fookin hate Keane too !! Anybody see the Man.Utd-Sunderland Premiership game awhile back, when Keano fouled McAteer (or vice-versa) and McAteer gets up, takes some abuse off Keano and pretends to write on his hand intimating "Oh you're gonna right me in your book now are you?"
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Am I the only person that doesn't dislike Keane here?
Samilktray Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Am I the only person that doesn't dislike Keane here? I dont not dislike him.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Keane has always struck me as being very child like, especially during his tenure as manager of Sunderland. His constant posing, always brooding, trying to be intimidating sort of attitude is just stupid and I find him to be an unsufferable bore.
barmy76uk Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Keane paid £9mill for Gordon who is nowhere near as good as Fulop and the Sunderland fans want Fulop in the team!
Mr Happy Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Keane paid £9mill for Gordon who is nowhere near as good as Fulop and the Sunderland fans want Fulop in the team! I don't blame any sunderland fans for wanting Fulop in goal because he is a damn good keeper, trouble with Gordon is his price tag. When that muppet RK payed £9mil for him he has to live up to that now and what with the differnece between the SPL and the premiershit he will find it hard to adapt at sunderland IMO. Their fans will be expecting him to be excellent for that amount of money, so its not CG's fault he hasnt lived up to sunderlands standards its RK's.

Roy Keane has looked a right 'TIT' with all the money he has wasted! I'm not usually the kind of person who likes to see people fail, but I certainly make an exception fot ROY!!!
Geo V Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 I said all along that others will come in for Fulop and according to Marton, Premiership and clubs near the top of the Championship want him. I think he will leave Sunderland, probably on an initial loan this month or next and it obviously wont be to us. What a shame as we could have had a class keeper on board.
shrek1970 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 ..... to leave....http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3075460,00.html Roy Keane is a piece This is an Old Thread from last week nothing new http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...45911&st=92 Jan 17 2008, 10:30 PM Post #93 Found this report on Fulop on The Northern Echos web site. Goalkeeper Marton Fulop was not on last week's unwanted list but the Hungary international could yet be leaving the Stadium of Light within the next fortnight despite only returning from a loan spell at Leicester two weeks ago. Fulop made 27 appearances during a successful four-and-ahalf- month spell at the Walkers Stadium and, despite Keane insisting he was back in Sunderland's first-team picture when he recalled him at the start of the month, the 24-year-old is ready to go back out on loan if a Championship club approaches him before the end of the transfer window. "I was getting games at Leicester and it was nice to play football," said Fulop, whose last Sunderland start came at Luton on the final day of last season. "It's a great compliment that the gaffer brought me back, but I still want to play. "He wants me here to fight for the place and keep Craig (Gordon) on his toes, but if Craig is playing then I am not. We are both the same age and we are both internationals, so one of us is always going to be unhappy and at the present time that is me. "It's nice that the manager wanted me back, but there is still two weeks to go until the transfer window closes at the end of January. If there is a good club coming in with the right offer to take me on loan, I would consider it. If nothing happens, I have to do my best to get in the team here or prove that I deserve a transfer in the summer. "I have a contract with Sunderland, though, and I have to accept what they want me to do." Link:- http://www.thisisthenortheast.co.uk/mostpo...idwell_edge.php
