Ian Holloway has turned to Premier League side Chelsea as he bids to further strengthen Leicester City's squad for the run-in.

The City manager has taken defender Harry Worley on trial and is also hoping to sign winger Scott Sinclair.

Worley, 20, played for City Reserves in yesterday's 2-2 draw against Coventry at Hinckley's Marston's Stadium.

Holloway said: “The player has not been offered a new contract by Chelsea so we are having a look at him.”

The Warrington-born centre-back has come up through the Chelsea Academy but has not played a first-team game and City are giving him a chance to prove himself.

I think the signing of Worley would be a fairly astute one. I can't imagine he'll be on high wages and from Thracian + others reserves and academy match reports, it would seem we don't really have any decent central defenders coming through. Worley can provide some young potential to challenge for the centre back spot.

Didn't he shag that one from big brother? The gobby one? Charley?

Hasnt half of London? :)

A decent youngster would learn plenty from the likes of N`Gotty and even Gerry Taggart.

Get him in.

Leicester City boss Ian Holloway says he has been impressed by trialist Chelsea centre-half Harry Worley.

Worley, 20, has been with the club this week and played for the reserves in the 2-2 draw against Coventry on Tuesday.

"I've really liked his attitude," Holloway told BBC Radio Leicester. "He has got a bit of pace, he's 6ft 4ins tall and he's a brute of a defender.

"He's been knocking Barry Hayles all round the place and there aren't too many who can do that."

Worley came through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge but has not forced his way into the first team squad and has not been offered a new deal.

Holloway added: "He's done very well so we'll see what the next step is with that."

New signing Jamie Clapham also played for more than an hour and could figure in the side against Plymouth Argyle at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday.

My mate is a chelsea season ticket holder and he says this lad would be one for the future but not one for first team football at the moment!!!

If he shows promise then i say we should sign him up, but if we start playing about with our defense we will be doomed for sure!!

our defence has been crap for the past couple of games, especially against blackpool and yesterday some of the mistakes that the defence made were shocking. i don't think that if we made a change it would make much of a difference to the defence.

Yeah i see what you are saying, but i wouldnt risk putting a youngster in front of Kisnorbo or McCauley!!

Especially at centre half, that position inparticular you have to make sure you get right from a managers point of view!!

If we were to replace any of these two is has to be with experience!!!
