ASH17LCFC Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Pub... Coalville (More entertaining and only a fiver) .. Pub.. Man u v Arsneal. Yes. So its not just me then
Stevosevic Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I'll go to the same number of games i go to now, around 15-20 games, home or away. It doesn't matter what league we are in, i go to watch Leicester because of the feelings i have for the club - something that cannot be matched or replaced by Man utd V Chelsea on TV. I would still get the buzz when we score and that sinking feeling when we concede, i would still enjoy the matchday experience. Going to watch football is about more than the quality of players on the pitch - it's about riding the emotional rollercoaster when your team is playing. If people want to bugger off and watch the big four on TV instead, then they can, they obviously dont show the same affection towards Leicester City as i do - even if the players are an over paid bunch of cocky bastards who don't care - the players are not Leicester City Football Club.
filbertway Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 So its not just me then Hell yeh, I'm a glory fan now, I only go when I can afford it and when we're at a ground I've not been to or where I can go out after. I'm a glory hunting Midland Alliance League fan now, I get to watch a mid table team for a quarter of the price.
Bryn Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 If I end up at Leicester Uni as is quite possible it will actually be my first season properly watching Leicester. If I'm at the Uni I'll have a season ticket and I'll be getting to as many away games as I can. I guess in that respect I'm quite lucky in the long run; I can't see us going any further down and so the only way will be up for me. If we do go up I'll probably appreciate more thanmost.

Not had a game of football for a while either. Good man. I'm getting mine at the gate I think. Football tommorrow? Spiffing. I'm sure it'll be slow paced and sluggish with a few lazy boy frank lampard efforts.

Daggers Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Football tommorrow? Spliffing.I'm sure it'll be slow paced and sluggish with a few lazy boy frank lampard efforts. Doing that kind of thing means it's bound to be sluggish...just make sure you have lots of snacks handy, you really don't want to have to find someone willing to go to the cornershop halfway through.
filbertway Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Only if i'm with Ramp Cheds a rubbish forum leader, wait he doesn't control this, the mods are rubbish. We're like a modern day fez/tph or thracian ultra taking over threads with pointless chat. Oh yeh, I say that's a damn lie, when you get the ball at your feet and only have 2 men in between you and glory , yo ualways take glorylol I vote we get the bendtner/adebayor arguments out the way early

Especially with the corner shop being up the steepest road in the world. Allegedly. LD3's always good for snacks. LD3 bring soem free tea or coffe from work.
joely22 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 If we get relegated and Forest get promoted...our main local derby will be Northampton I thought Coventry were your main derby?!
Matt Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Initial reaction last night, Infact intial reaction after most of this season's games has been - Fuk it, I ain't watching another game this season, I ain't going Saturday, this is still my feeling, and when I go on Saturday (Because however much I want to stay away, i'll be there) my feeling will be - I don't want to be here. BUT the question is IF you didn't go what would you do? My answer would be I don't know, But most likely i'd be listening to the game on Saturday if I didn't go anyway, so I have Season Ticket, I'd still be "involved" with the game anyway by listening to it, I may aswell go to the game. This is the sad thing, However pissed off I am with the team, However much I don't want to go, I'll be there, However much I don't want to renew my Season Ticket, I will, because I know for a fact if I didn't renew my Season Ticket i'd still end up going to most of the games if not all, which will not only leave me depressed and annoyed watching us lose week in, week out, but i'll have less money also because it'd cost more to buy individual tickets, instead of a Season Ticket, and the club know they have a fair few fans like this equaling guaranteed money and support. I suppose my answer is the answer of a loyal, true fan, I doubt you'd get many Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, e.t.c fans who if were in our posistion would answer like I have, and I hope and guess this is the same feeling as alot of people on here. The fans I really feel sorry for are the ones that go to all the away matches aswell...Having said that I say I feel sorry for them, as I once said before, They know the score, They know the likelyhood is we'll play shit and lose, but at the end of the day they probably feel the same as what i've posted above, just slightly stronger and follow them home and away.
Geo V Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 When I moved to Leicester as a lad and changed from supporting Liverpool (as a kid) to Leicester, it was on teh proviso they would be in the top two divisions. If they get relegated, I`ll opt for Arsenal or Man Utd but it depends on who wins the league this season.
ASH17LCFC Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I thought Coventry were your main derby?! We haven't got a real one, some say Forest some say Derby then People say Cov. I hate Derby the most.

This. The amount of times I've become pissed off with the state of things at city or modern in football in general and shouted my mouth off about how I'll give it up, but I know I never will. For many years to come I'll probably still be there even if city are slumming it in the Ryman, or living it up in the English Super Soccer Extravagana Premier Division sponsored by McDonalds, Coca-Cola and Carlsberg (the 3 games actually played in England that is.)
Darkzzz_ Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Like someone said above... I would still go to around 15-20 games a season too.... I hate people that just come out and show there support when we are on the up... That really gets under my skin!!! This club, has all my love Win, Lose or draw... Promotion or Relegation... I will be there... Always.... Like i have said in previous posts i have a lot of mates who are Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea fans.... The thing is they never go to any of there games and sing when they are winning, they are the first to say, Leicester are this, leicester are that.... For example when we played Chelsea in the carling cup, i had two Chelsea mates wanting tickets for this... Even one of the Man utd fans wanted to come!!! Go and support your own teams.... Like i always said... I am Leicester til i die...
