Asha Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Was just thinking about this. If we did relegated how many people would still turn up. League One has absolutely no appeal to me. Teams like Carlisle and Swindon...Tranmere away on a Friday night. Would have to seriously consider whether I would go as much or not. What about everyone else?
Simi Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I'd have a season ticket still I reckon. Still go to every away game possible as well.
Jack Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 At the end of the day if you support the club you'd go and watch them what ever level they play at. I would go, probably not as much as I do now, but I'd still go.
teblin Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I'd still have a season ticket, i just hope it doesn't come to that.
andyh1884 Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I don't go because I enjoy the football, I go because I can't bring myself to not go and the blind hope that one day it'll change So on that basis, I would still have a season ticket even if the unthinkable happened
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Yes through thick and thin as they say!! At lot of my mates are Man Yoo or Liverpool fans, they do my head in though!! They always say, leicester are this, leicester are that!!! Then i just shut them up with the ultimate, when was the last time you watched your club?? Can you name any facts about your club?? Then its silence!!!!! Followed by.............AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH You bellends.... from me....
Asha Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 If we get relegated and Forest get promoted...our main local derby will be Northampton
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Was just thinking about this.If we did relegated how many people would still turn up. League One has absolutely no appeal to me. Alexikokopops Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 If I didn't go it would be for the same reasons I wouldn't go if we stayed up. All depends on where I'm working next year.
Asha Posted 13 February 2008 Author Posted 13 February 2008 ..Haven't they stopped Friday night games? I don't know. 'League One news' has never interested me before.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I would go to as many games as i do now, which is every home game and a selection of away games. If we were doing well then i think we would probably get higher attendances then we do now.
Staf Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I would still get a season ticket not sure how many away games i would go to though
James. Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 It wouldn't change my number of attendances at all. The last thing I base my decision on what matches to go to is the opposition. It all depends on if I'm free that day/night and whether I can afford it (although even that gets disregarded quite often). If we did get relegated they'd be a whole load of new grounds to visit and a whole load of quality away days.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I can usually only afford a few games each year. So the chances are, it'd be cheaper in League 1 and therefore I'd go to MORE games. Not that I want that to happen. If you want to bask in glory, go and watch the Tigers
Shrenchel Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 ^^^ Yeah I'd probably be able to afford more so I'd go to more. Largely away games. There's a few crackin grounds in League One still.
Thracian Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 It's never been about which division we're in to me. I've been much more concerned we've become a short term rent-a-crowd football club bringing in clearly unresearched players from here, there and everywhere for a fast fix. People who sometimes wouldn't win a shirt at Hinckley. Basically we know the price of everyone and the value of no-one. It's all become so shallow. There's no noticeable thought of providing entertainment and a team to be proud of. Any shit will do on the pitch so long as we win and it's cleared away afterwards. The only concern is how to make the big bucks quickest. If Mandaric leaves I don't suppose the next owner will have any greater connection to Leicester than he has. As I said at the time, this club and all it has stood for, is for sale to anyone. She's not so much In The Game as On The Game. Anyone can have her for the right price. I've stopped going to away matches. Watching the slop that City serve as football away from home is worse than a prison visit. Next season, who knows? I've enjoyed reserves and occasional Academy matches far more than the first team anyway. So I'd never really sever connections. But days out at the Walkers no longer excite me nor even offer the prospect of excitement. Even the sanctuary that is the Swan and Rushes is up for sale so I'm told. And the thing about Barbars is that it makes you not give a toss what's happened in the football - at least temporarily. In that way I suspect it's irreplaceable.
The People's Hero Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 Basically we know the price of everyone and the value of no-one. You do realise that Oscar Wilde was a homosexual don't you? Didn't think you'd want any association with such a 'sordid' character.
Thracian Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 You do realise that Oscar Wilde was a homosexual don't you?Didn't think you'd want any association with such a 'sordid' character. I'm happy to leave both you and the late Oscar each to your own bedroom tales. Both appear to be well documented.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 While we are on the subject of "if we get relegated", how many of our current squad do you think will leave or be sold? I'm thinking Kisnorbo, Hume, Clemence would all definately go and then the likes of McAuley, Oakley, Howard, Campbell, Stearman, Chambers, Mattock and Fryatt would probably go if we got a decent bid. For some reason I think most of them would stay until January atleast. I imagine we would still buy Bori and Laczko and would probably offer contracts to Worley and Clapham. Our potential team next season could be: ........................Logan Stearman..N'Gotty...Worley..Clapham Gradel..Wesolowski..Cox...Laczko ................Fryatt..Howard WE ARE GOING UP!!! I don't think we will go down though
maddog Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I certainly wouldn't have a season ticket in league 1. Id just go to the odd match.
davieG Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 I certainly wouldn't have a season ticket in league 1.Id just go to the odd match. All our games are odd

Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 February 2008 Posted 13 February 2008 All that experience Gradel is getting in League One will come in handy when he steps up to... League One.
