Raj Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 We gotta learn to play football and not hoofball. Today we played football and that was the result. Football aint brain Science is it? Keep it on the floor, pass, you'll get chances and score!!! FCUKING EASY! I personally am glad for DJ as ive been going on about him being a potential jackpot and i though he was very lively and hussled alot. Howard and himself needed the goals for confidence and this will help alot. Lazclo(sp!) played well and we need him to keep up this sort of form. Hume was crap!!! McCauley had abit of a dodgy start but overall it was solid. Just like we shouldnt get too down when we lose,we shouldn start getting too excited when we win. However,we dont win 4-0 too often so fcuk that!!!! Players (and us fnas,i suppose!)Just need to keep our feet on the ground and keep pounding out the results. Great feeling walking out the ground and people actually talk, smile, hug and give BJ's to each other(Or is that just me! ) Love it!!! Enjoy the weekend!!! (P.S BigGibo is alive and well too!!!!)
Number1flanker Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Great Game!!! 4 Goals something different Everyone performed well Good quality goals Well deserved win Keep it coming! Hope Stearman injury not 2 bad

Raj for Prime Minister.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I was amazed at the game today, you wouldn't have believed that we were playing the same team that comprehensively outplayed us at Carrow Road only a few weeks ago. The performance wasn't perfect by any means, but what a massive confidence booster. They've proved they can do it - they just need to prove that they can do it for more than one game at a time. I'm optimistic that they will, because there were a lot of good individual performances out there today, and some players who were due a good performance will have been reminded what they are capable of
Raj Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Cheers Fox You Forest! This result will just add confidence to the players and that is a massive thing. After DJ's goal he even attempted one outside the area, whereas he'd normally have fallen over. Tis alot about confidence. This will give the whole club a big lift and lets hope(not for the first time!)that we can build from this!

lildave3 Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Watch Hume go on some sort of run now. Such a confidence player.
STUHILL Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Watch Hume go on some sort of run now. Such a confidence player. He was awesome today, in attack and defence!! His deliveries were also top dollar, WHO NEEDS Shush! THRACIAN?!?!??!
Raj Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Watch Hume go on some sort of run now. Such a confidence player. I though he did a few decent runs today actually!
Thracian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Thankfully, Stearman's injury isn't as bad as it looked. Back on his feet at the end of the game according to Ollie. Good job. And I hope someone cleans that Norwich bastard out from the knees downwards in the weeks to come.
Raj Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Good job. And I hope someone cleans that Norwich bastard out from the knees downwards in the weeks to come. BLoody hell, such venom!!!
Thracian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Writing a thesis to post on here, about how under him we'd win like this every week. I've rarely felt more vindicated. Have I not said how much we need some pace and, with campbell and Hume we had that pace. Have I not criticised Laczko for coming inside and cramping the space which others might use instead of spreading sluggish defenders out as far as possible. With Laczko and others continually making and keeping the width, didn't Campebll exploit that space wonderfully? And haven't I said we should pass the ball from the back through the team? And said we shouldn't try to sit on a lead but keep pressing forward to score again. And didn't I say we needed to score 2 goals or more to win football matches. And that our players weren't rubbish at all? I've just got in cos I've been out celebrating. That was our best performance for a long, long time. Far better than 4-1 against Watford because there were two teams in that match and we got the breaks. After the first half hour there was only one team in today's match. We slaughtered them and made them surrender. They hadn't a gallop in em at the end and another 15 minutes and it would have been six or eight. Happiness for me was watching Hume's free kick almost give us a fifth and someone running to take out last corner. What a long way from pathetically trying to run the clock down against Charlton. Proper pass and run football. It's the way forward and now you lot should all know it. The challenge now is to be brave enough to do it away from home - and start making people really scared of us.
Chimp Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I hope that's shut all you negative 'ohhh we're league 1, down for certain' fuckers up. Hmm, I think we'll have to wait until after the Coventry and Preston games before we can hope for that.
Bezzanator89 Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I actually went to the game today for the first time in months. Most Saturdays I have work and stuff like that but I thought I may as well see how Leicester would do. Presumably thought City would get absolutely pummelled, and they would be drop-dead crap. Oh, how wrong I was. Apart from the odd time where Norwich attempted to set camp in our half, we were bloody brilliant. Oakley and Clemence working together? Howard and Campbell as a strike force, never attempted before? Leaving sure-fire players OUT of the side? Sounds crazy doesn't it? Alnwick dominated his penalty box well, collecting every available ball, and even played a part in Hume's goal (ie; Route One hoofball). Stearman was shaky at times but generally OK until he got stamped on by the Norwich player sent off. McAuley and the rest of defence were nice and tight, keeping Dion in check and putting their bodies on the line to stop any counter-attacks, if any. Hume was excellent, my Man of the Match today. Scored with a neat finish, comes with the package of being a terrier chasing those long balls, he absolutely terrorised those defenders throughout, poor buggers. Did get a bit over-exuberant, resulting in the yellow card shown to him. Took a free-kick that apparantly hit a hand but I couldn't tell because I was behind the wall of Norwich players. Oakley and Clemence were their creative selves and didn't actually hoof it, they passed neat passes intricately between the defenders whihc is why we had so many chances. Not forgetting to mention Clemence's goal, very well taken. Didn't see much of Howard before the first goal where he did the near-perfect layoff to Hume for the goal. The cross from whoever-it-was for Howard's goal was immaculate, with Howard smashing the ball past Marshall for the second goal. And Campbell, being the little tyke he is, took his goal ruthlessly and like Hume, terrorised the defenders all afternoon. Looks like Ollie might just have found the right formula. Today, I am very proud to be a Leicester City fan, and just think, I nearly decided not to go... But what was good was the fact that the most common chant was "Dion..Dion..What's the Score?..Dion..Dion..What's the Score?.." COME ON CITY!!!! CITY TIL I DIE!!!!

You have been on the Romanian Riesling again.
lildave3 Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Gotta say, Hume's booking was possibly the most cynical foul i've seen all year.
Floating Fox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Didnt Sheff Wed start if off?If your an owl bounce around? Nah theres is something about the blades....Can't remember now but yeah they do bounce around and yes it's another generic chant wittly thought of by the east stand boys....
Floating Fox Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Did anyone see what happened in town after the game with the police hellicopter?
Thracian Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 You have been on the Romanian Riesling again. Had they not been waiting for the Barbars to arrive I'd be pissed as could be - as it is I'm only half pissed.
canary yella Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 norwich fans that attended the game tell me that the leicester crowd were volatile towards the norwich end! Apparently an old couple were attacked, so much so that the women had to be taken to hospital as she had blood pouring down her face, can anyone confirm this?
Plymouth Pete Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Hi all, just popped back to congratulate you on your excellent result today. Hope it is the turning point, now do Coventry and Preston!

A Norwich fan on another forum said it all kicked off, no specifics though.

There was a bit of volatility going back and forth, I didn't see anyone getting hurt though. Sorry to hear that, hope she's alright.
