Simon Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Don't think anyone actually noticed my article, took me 15 mins to write... I noticed- certainly saved me fifteen minutes! Although I really want to mention Clapham's performance- I thought he was immense yesterday- his balls into feet to the forwards were excellent! Took the girlfriend today and told her not to expect much given our regular performances (and the fact she used to be an Arsenal season ticket holder!) and we only bloody went and won 4-0 making me took a right twerp! Ah well- I'll settle for that more often!!!!!!!
Jackirius Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 4 players in team of the day, hume, clapham, alnwick and mcauly, why was alnwick in it he hardly had to make a save?? and clapham wasnt great?

Daggers Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Three cheers for the crappest Mexican Waves in the history of Mexican Waves...with a special mention for L1's very own Mexican Wave that never left L1
Leicester Lass Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Three cheers for the crappest Mexican Waves in the history of Mexican Waves...with a special mention for L1's very own Mexican Wave that never left L1 To be fair, they tried to start it at the back which will never work because the people in front can't see it
Bezzanator89 Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Most of the Mexican Waves didn't get to the end of the Kop stand, never mind the whole way round the stadium...
Koke Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Good job. And I hope someone cleans that Norwich bastard out from the knees downwards in the weeks to come. I can't blame you Thrac, it was a diabolical tackle and deserved to be sent off. On the game itself, a very good performance. Everything I wanted to say has already been said and I'm just hoping for some consistence. The scums are way over due a proper hammering at their own backyard. This is the best time to meet them.
Thracian Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 How self absorbed are you? EVERYONE wants that kind of football, but some realise it doesn't bloody happen over night. Of course under you it would, because as we all know you are the greatest football squash manager to ever live. Everyone wants that kind of football? I've lost count on the people on here who would happily take a draw from certain games or who would rather win ugly than draw or lose looking good. That's not being attack minded. It's hedge-your-bets management. There have been some who've consistently called for attacking football on here, and welcome support it's been too, but the pre-occupation with looking after the defence first and playing Tiatto types has been pronounced. How many have said full-backs are primarily there to defend? Lots. Oh yes, some of those claim they want to attack if all goes well. But what's that other favourite phrase on here. I'd rather win a rotten game 1-0 that lose a cracker 4-3. I BELIEVE in attack. Completely. And don't for one minute think I didn't follow that doctrine either in football or squash management, completely and without any second thoughts whatsoever.
Flynny Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 And that our players weren't rubbish at all? Was that the part where you said "these players are shit play the kids", or the part where you said "these players are shit play the kids" I'm guessing your response would be something along the lines of playing the kids for will-to-win, running and attitude, which our first-team finally displayed today? The only thing that worried me, (just a little, tiny bit, mind) was us not using the width until they went a man down. It's all very well doing that as a tactic to create space when the other team's a man down, but I'd like to see us doing that more anyway.
Jonezy Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Been lying in bed sick all weekend, so didn't follow the game yesterday. Then I wake up in the evening and completely lost for energy I make it to the telly and check the tele text, I wait and then Leicester - Norwich: 4-0!!! I think WTF, that cant be right and switch on the computer, while my energy levels somehow raise themselves as a result of the possible Leicester result. Computer on and startpage, which is the OS confirms what my tele text had been saying. We won 4-0!!!! And from what I gather from the people on here, we played pretty well as well. Fantastic result and performance lads, now go on and win back to back games for once!!!
Koke Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Fantastic result and performance lads, now go on and win back to back games for once!!! Against none other than the scum of the earth. Hope Wednesday stuff them on Tuesday (no pun intended).

Not my quotes I'm afraid, cos I don't think all our seniors are shit and I'd really like all our sides to attack whatever the balance of the team was age-wise. But your point about the width is a good un. We'll see what happens at Coventry.
shen Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Didn't see or listen to the game. How were the goals and who created them? I've read that Mattock, Laczko, Oakley and Hume made the assists, yet the first three got quite low marks relative to the rest.

lildave3 Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Obviously, my high point had to be not having idiot kid throw his fizzy pop in my ear this week. Aside from having 4 teenage boys coming to see you? Pffft.
Floating Fox Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 Behind meeting me of course. GET YOUR JACKET OUT FOR THE LADSSSS
Bert Posted 17 February 2008 Posted 17 February 2008 My high point was was this ginger bird who looked a lot like Sarah-Jayne Mee () in the away end. My low point was that if the bloke she was with, was her partner, he was a right goober, and gives anyone else, who hasn't a partner, all kinds of hope for the future.

Great result great day !! I was happy too, as i had a bet on Hume to score firstgoal and Leicester to win 4-0 @250/1. Only had 50p on it though but still got £125, so i was very pleased. I was more impressed with the win though. I thought Humes free kick went in afew minutes before the end and would've made it 5-0, but to be honest i wouldn't mind losing the bet as long as Leicester won by as many goals as possible. HUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMEEE
