Tommy G Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I know, some people never fail to amaze me either. Stearman has improved a hell of a lot recently, we'd miss him if he had a spell out. Having said that the kids out of control, playing pool the night beofre a game, the youth of today completely out of control... I think somebody should warn him on the impact of playing pool before a big match?
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 You'd all be laughing on the other side of your faces if he was involved in some sort of horrific pool accident and sidelined for the rest of the season. He should take more care.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Chambers looks a bit weak to me. Stearman's not got much muscle on him but he puts his challenges in and goes in commited. Chambers seems to pull out of 50-50s or get out-muscled a lot. His delivery on Saturday wasn't that great either to say he got into some decent positions and had a bit of time. I'd stick with Stearman if his injury isn't serious because I think he's beginning to grow again under Holloway. Chambers has looked a bit rusty when given a chance which is probably to be expected.

He should take more care. Your right I apologise. I should have thought beofre I posted. He could sprain his arm or anything. I hope he was wearing a suitable degree of cotton wool before he went out. And as for Alnwick going with him, no wonder he made a mistake at Watford. Unnecessary use of hands if ever I saw it.
Simi Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Leicester City coach Gerry Taggart says that Richard Stearman and Joe Mattock have suffered no long-term damage after they picked up knocks in the 4-0 victory over Norwich at the weekend. Both players were forced to leave the field through injury following heavy tackles. But Taggart confirmed that the duo were on the mend and should be fit to play if selected when the Foxes face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday. He said: "Both Richard and Joe are walking around today. Stearz just needs a couple of days rest and should be okay for the weekend, while Joe has got more of a dead leg than anything. "There is no magic pill that we can give them. It is just a question of time more than anything else."
Staf Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Im not Stearmans biggest fan but all the best to him he has been playing well this season and is playing for the U21 so he must be doing something right
The Stig Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Good news there then, I don't think its coinsidence (if that's how you spell it) that once those two return to the side we keep a clean sheet.
Candidcamera Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I liked his early games a few years ago and I beleive he is getting back to that form. Could be very good indeed IMO.
reynard Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Mate stearman is shocking the team is better off without him he can't kick a ball to save his life. Christ where on earth do we find "people"? like this?
accessory Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Good news there then, I don't think its coinsidence (if that's how you spell it) that once those two return to the side we keep a clean sheet. Except Mattock wasn't playing in defence, and only lasted 20 minutes. So the clean sheet was hardly down to him.
Thracian Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 ......I have to say I found it quite an incredible thing to say, coming from a bloke who idolises Roy Keane. Thought I'd stay quiet in the interest of keeping the peace though Where did you get the idea I idolised Roy Keane? The fact that he was a terrific player who won a stack of silverware to prove it and my belief that he'll be a good manager doesn't mean I idolise him at all. And he'd certainly never have played for me again after "that tackle" I presume you're referring to. No matter how much I might have regretted it, football wise.

Would Max Gradel, Alan Shee-han or Ryan Beswick play again for you as Leicester manager if they comitted a similar foul?

So every player whos ever lost their cool in the heat of the moment and made a bad tackle should be released. We'd be rid of a few players here.

We'd be rid of a few players here. It's sensational, i'm sure if researched properly, we could really make a mockery of Thracian's guidelines there. I'm sure some of his favourite Leicester Stallions have comitted some unsavoury challenges in their time. Did Davie Gibson ever have a hack at anyone? Please say he did. I bet Ol' Frank Large did do on many occasions as did Steve Walsh.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 I'm sure Gradel has on more than one occasion, he's definitley hit someone on the pitch, no doubt "that wont count" He told a Villa fan to f**k off at a reserve game too. That was pretty ungentlemanly.
hairy Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 I bet Ol' Frank Large did do on many occasions as did Steve Walsh. I remember Walsh rugby tackling Bergkamp infront of the double decker to give away a penalty. Bergkamp was about to go round him for the third time so Walsh stopped him dead. Prat! Bergkamp had slipped past Walsh's tackle just outside the area, but he grabbed at the Dutchman as he spun into the box. The linesman flagged, referee Graham Barber concurred and Bergkamp struck the ball past Keller from the spot.

Ric Flair Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Robbie Savage's ripsnorter on Kanu against Arsenal some years ago was very, very naughty. But then again, I don't think Savage would have been a Thracian type of player, so he'd not condone that at all and would have him packed off to Anstey Nomads within the hour.

Matt Elliott would have been a goner as well after his forearm smash on Michael Owen at Filbo. Back to Epsom & Ewell.
The People's Hero Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 I've been a very good boy recently and I don't want to spoil it.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 If Mark sees any of this disagreeing with Thracian, there's going to be some fairly high profile bannings! Behave.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 We should release Kisnorbo for his two footed lunge and Cov a couple of seasons back.
