Someones just bitter because they were too young to remember his blistering performance against Sheffield United!

I've never even seen him play etc.

Wise seals Leicester switch

Squaring up: Wise and Izzet are to be team-mates

Dennis Wise completed his ?1.6m transfer from Chelsea to Leicester and revealed his move was down to a desire to play first team football.

The fee could rise to ?2m based on the number of appearances the former England international makes for the Filbert Street side.

Wise's move marks the end of his 11-year spell at Stamford Bridge.

He said: "It wasn't a difficult decision in the end. I had made my mind up that I was going to leave at the end of the season. I'm glad to be here.

"It is good that this club wanted to sign me.

"There were a lot of factors in my decision to leave. I had 11 years at Chelsea, enjoyable years, but I did not want to be a bit-part player, sitting on the bench.

"I felt under Claudio Ranieri Chelsea coach I would not be playing in my best position and did not want to spoil my relationship with Chelsea.

"I have parted on very good terms."

He added: "I have many good memories, I won a lot of things and enjoyed it.

"Now it is time to move on and I am looking forward to some good years here.

"It has nothing to do with Chelsea selling loads of foreigners. I got on well with them. There were a great bunch. You stick together as a unit and you become successful."

Leicester chairman John Elsom is delighted to have Wise on board.

Elsom said: "Denis was a real crowd-pleaser at Chelsea and we hope he will be one at Filbert Street.

"I am sure he will help to motivate the rest of the team with his strong presence on the field."
