SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I went to a 21st tonight for a bloke who was a top bloke at high school that i dont see often. After that i decided to walk home then with a km to go i decided to jog and i am not fit and had been drinking heavily i lasted 700m in a slow jog and worked the last 300m before i passed out on my front lawn watching the clouds fly by and the stars and full moon. Which got me thinking how fit or un fit are you. Also all tho i am thousands of k's away from you plebs we are looking at the same sky just at different times so is it really a big world our and we are just small specks on the universe and we must enjoy it all. I hadn't seen my mates from high school for 3 years and i miss them and it got me thinking how short every aspect of life really is and we must take time to enjoy the little thingd like a cold wintery nights sky lieing on ya front lwan in ya jocks. As we are all in this together. Roo time for a beer i think

Bellend Sebastian Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I can run a half marathon, but not very fast. Although I'm the right weight for my height I've got a bit of a gut on me these days as well - this is what happens when you hit your 30s

Although I'm the right weight for my height I've got a bit of a gut on me these days as well - this is what happens when you hit your 30s I thought this was 40's? Next year people will be saying...''Ive got a bit of a belly on me, but thats what happens when you hit your 20's!...''

Although I'm the right weight for my height I've got a bit of a gut on me these days as well - this is what happens when you hit your 30s Ive done 4 half marathons in the last 5 years. And i agree its harder to get rid of the gut when you are in the 30's. The metabolism starts slowing down. Mind you i aint as old as you Bellend!!!

Monk Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I find fitness an incredible frustration. To just work every day I get up at 630 and return back to the house at 7pm, starving hungry. I've tried various plans; going running at 6:10 am (lasted 2 days), Gym at lunch (lasted 1 month), Gym in the evening (on and off, always too tired and hungry after work). Often away at weekends. Any suggestions?

Need a balance in life. I work 3 shifts hence my bodyclock is always fcuked but i try and do something 3 times a week, although i dont have a long 12-13 hour day like you. Good luck!

I still think doing it in the morning is the best plan. I don't mind getting up at 6 but obviously it's difficult in winter. When the clocks go back it'll be easier. I can't always take an hour at lunch and I already spend 2 lunches per week in a 1 hr spanish lesson so thats really out of the question at the moment.

Trumpet Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 He left live chat at Half time to see a guy called Jim Half time work out! Ah I don't have time for fitness. Let yourself be. Be a slob whilst it doesn't matter, change later on in life
coale39 Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I think sport is the best way to fitness. Squash once a week is fine for me!
MC Prussian Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I go out for a run on a regular basis. Usually around 40 minutes and then I add some push-ups and sit-ups, as well. I tend to do this more often a week once spring sets in, usually twice a week. The cold, rainy weather and the short daylight periods in winter make it harder for me to get properly motivated.

Carry on with them if you want to get a bad back and no abs. If you've got a swiss ball, then youll have abs of steel if you know how to use it properly
Guest Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 If you've got a swiss ball, then youll have abs of steel if you know how to use it properly I hope you're not one of the idle tossers who never puts them away after using them.
