More Trouble ?

But if they behaved like that in L1, there'd be plenty of folk on here telling us what loyal and passionate fans they were..

Utter bollocks! I think there are very few folks (if anyone!) who would advocate behaviour like that anywhere - whether that be L1, Leicester city centre or any away ground.

Anyone trying to link this to L1 is an absolute cretin. These people were obviously not 'chavs', they were middle-aged semi-retired baby squad members who didn't even have a match ticket, fighting similar minded ****s miles away from the ground. Anyone who thinks these ****** would be revered by L1 is a fooking idiot. Just because people want to stand and sing it doesn't mean they support kicking some other geezer's head in.

wrong we'd be condemning them but they'd already be banged up and getting 3 year or lifetime banning orders ...

fact is anyone turning up for a game of this magnitude, looking s**tfaced and 9 times out of ten wearing caps/jackets with burberry/aquascutum logos on them is there to cause trouble. We had 1 w**nker in front of us with his kid who at the end of the game turned on his fellow fans with abuse thinking he was well hard, some middle aged guy thinking he was the "daddy"came over to him to applaud his actions.wish we could pick all these c**nts up drop them in iraq/afganistan and see how hard they are then or even easier take them up the brecon beacons in wales and thrash them over the mountains lets see how pysical and mentally tough they are then.cannot stand these t**ts!!!!!!

The baby squad infact does still exist, albeit on a much smaller scale, and they also attend the home matches, and some are in L1 i believe

There has always been trouble with the Cov scum, last season was no different

Last year it was organised for the leicester so called supporters to go over on the friday night,to Cov,before leicesters home game against them on the Sat.they smashed there local hangouts up

Suffice to say,the next day on the saturday,Cov fans returned the favour.

Scum,the lot of them

And Plymouth fans/website's just could keep their noses out ah?!

Eleven hooligans were arrested near Coventry's railway station following crowd clashes between Coventry and Leicester fans.

Ex-Argyle boss Ian Holloway is not only struggling to manage his failing Leicester City side, but he now has to consider crowd hooliganism.

Over 100 fans clashed, '70's style, in Earlsden High Street in Coventry city centre, but about 6 miles from the Ricoh Stadium before the relegation clash between the Sky Blues and Foxes.

Local residents reported that the age of the men involved in this pathetic violence were "in their 50's".

Whilst crowd violence is appalling, it is made worse when it is perpetrated by old men.

The FA should investigate this incident and consider docking points from both clubs. Supporters should not only face criminal action by the police, but also the threat of their club being relegated should they behave in such a weak minded manner.

Silly old farts

Can just picture them now, with not there burberry baseball caps, but there burberry flat caps, and blades that shoot out from the botton of there walking aids

I didn't realise that there was an age limit for chavs.

I agree with all of you. I was there in the 70's/80's and some scary moments with no stewards/ CCTV/little or no press coverage when it started and larger numbers of idiots wanting to fight. I know it's been said elsewhere regularly, but you true supporters have to somehow stop it in the grounds -much easier said than done I know.

It is worrying that problems gradually increasing. Do those who go regularly think more signs of getting worse since films like Football Factory, because that's one of my theories.

As I see most of my footy on tv now, I've noticed greater nastiness between fans and to opposing players from fans around touchline, esp when realised they are in camera shot. Amazed to read on here last week that the "nice " Norwich fans of past friendly reputation were singing rascist songs at the Walkers and their "hard men" were fighting in city after the game.

Any thoughts?

I quite liked the fact that the Norwich fans in the pub before the game decided to wait until the "menfolk" had left the table before having a pop.

Tossers.

Needless to say, I had the last word.

Why do these nutters do it allied to football matches?

It only brings the name of the clubs involved into disrepute.

The authorities have known for a long time that some groups organise trouble away from the grounds due to lack of police prescence.

The problem they have is finding out when and where it is due to take place.

I recall the bad old days of the seventies/ early eighties when serious fights broke out both in and outside the ground.

I wish they would all just p*ss off and leave us all to enjoy the game without any trouble anywhere.

If they want to fight, let em find a field in the middle off nowhere so no ones persons or property are involved.

Last one standing wins, so what, who cares?

Just keep out of everyones way so we can simply watch the game we all support.

Fans??? More like scum.

Football is a sport. Sport should not be about these mindless idiots. Ban anyone held from attending matches for life.

So what is the club going to do about this/can they even do anything about this (even a toothless public statement)/do they even care? It sure sounds like one or two dozen scumbags crapped all over several thousand fans' collective reputation. The last thing this club needs is another blow to its image.

After reading this thread the general theme is that all hooligans are idiots/they should be banned/they're scum etc etc which is definately correct.

I just can't see what anyone (apart from the police) can do about it. My opinion is that is people wan't to fight then they can fight, leave them to it! As long as no-one who doesn't want to get involved gets hurt.

It will hopefully all die down in the next few games and we won't hear much more about it. It's just some old men getting their anger out miles from the Cov ground at the end of the day

the only problem is that other clubs get wind of it and start bringing their scum down to the walkers looking for it

i was genuinely surprised about norwich - i never knew they were like that. with cov, however, it is to be expected. the next two games (cardiff away and preston at home) might be a bit dodgy, but after that i'm sure it'll all calm down...until the trees and leeds get back to the championship

We could be in League 1, so it wouldn't be a problem.
