Thracian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Alnwick, Stearman, N'Gotty, Kisnorbo, Mattock; Hume, Wesolowski, Oakley, Beswick King, Howard. Subs: Henderson, Kishishev, Clemence, DJ, Fryatt. I think we need to counter Cardiff's midfield while retaining enough counter-attacking potential. I've some doubts as to whether the holding capabilities of Howard outweigh the speed of Campbell but I think Fryatt/Campbell later with King taking Hume's place and Mattock/Beswick moving forward in a 3-4-3 might give us a decent plan B if we need it later.
Guest Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Can't see him going with anything other than 4-4-2 to start so I reckon it'll be Alnwick Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo Clapham Hume Clem Oakley Mattock Howard DJ Personally I'd like to see him swap Clem for Weso, stick Hume up front with Howard and start with Bori on the right. There's no way either of the first two things are gonna happen but I can hope

davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Author Posted 27 February 2008 From the Merc City look like making two changes at least for the trip to Cardiff. Gareth McAuley is suspended and will be replaced by Bruno N'Gotty, while James Chambers sustained an ankle injury in training yesterday and is doubtful, with Richard Stearman ready to take over at right back.

Legend_in_blue Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 B-b-b-but... what about ... Bori? .. Laczko? I'd congest the midfield and attempt to break down their play from there. Play for a draw and try and nick a goal and see what happens. Smash and grab people, smash and grab!
Simi Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 B-b-b-but... what about ... Bori? .. Laczko? If we're not going to use them properly, they serve no purpose.
James. Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 If we're not going to use them properly, they serve no purpose. Supporting Leicester is shit. EDIT: perfect way to bring up 3,000 posts!!

lcfc_forever Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman N'Gotty Kisnorbo ClaphamHendrie Wesolowski Oakley Campbell Hume HowardSubs: Fryatt, Clemence, Chambers, Bori, Mattock We need someone like Weso in the team, especially away from home, who will break up opposition attacks and it would allow Oakley to get forward. Dropping Clemence would show him he needs to fight for his place and give Hume or Oakley the chance to take set-pieces. DJ on the wing will give us another attacking option and in the spells he has played there, he's looked dangerous.

davieG Posted 28 February 2008 Author Posted 28 February 2008 Holloway Drops Bruno Hint Posted on: Thu 28 Feb 2008Ian Holloway says that Bruno N'Gotty will be part of the City line up that takes on Cardiff City at Ninian Park on Saturday. The 36-year-old defender, who joined the Foxes from Birmingham last summer, was introduced as a second half substitute against Coventry last weekend. And with regular centre half Gareth McAuley picking up his fifth booking of the season on the day, N'Gotty looks set to gain a well-timed recall. He said: "The fact that Gareth is suspended on Saturday gives Bruno a chance. He has probably been a little bit upset because I haven't picked him more than I have, but here is his chance to show me. "He played in our game at Norwich and he did well. I left him out the next game, so hopefully he has got a point to prove and I am sure he will. He is a quality player." Meanwhile, Holloway confirmed that Richard Stearman and Joe Mattock were on the comeback trail, while James Chambers was also back on the training pitches after picking up a knock earlier in the week. He added: "Joe and Richard have trained all week so they are both fit and available for selection. "James rolled his ankle in training on Tuesday, but he is fit again and training on Thursday morning." Ollie also gave an update on the progress of Levi Porter, who is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury. He concluded: "People think football is an easy profession, but when injury prevents you from doing your job it is very worrying. "Levi will be back and he will be fit - but not this season."
escape2victory Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 Lets try a radical 4-3-3, with Hume and Campbell tucking back when not in possession to make it a 4-5-1. -----------------Alnwick Stearman---N'Gotty---Kisnorbo---Clapham ----------------Wesolowski -----------Clemence------Oakley ---Hume-----------Howard---------Campbell Subs: Fryatt, Henderson, Mattock, Laczko, Hendrie
