lildave3 Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 a) If you want to see offsides get a recording of Fryatt at Barnsley last year.b) Without those four points we'd have been relegated. c) It's obvious from what Fatbloke says that he's not likely to play. Yes but if someone else had the amount of chances he had, i'd be willing to bet they'd score more, and therefore gain more points.
Finn Claw Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 [quote name='Thracian' date='Feb 28 2008, 11:25 PM' post='917416' Hammond scored a vital goal at Birmingham to give us a draw. One point. He scored one and made one in the unexpected 2-1 win at Wolves (3 points). That makes a total of four points he was pivotal in us securing. And all the bloke has ever gets on here is stick. that is very lazy, you could go through every game and tlak about who scored when and how many points they made for us. Or how many last ditch tackles made by a defender and points saved. With DJ at the club i see no reason as to why you would ever play Elvis, SJ has pace and is a much better footballer

Fryatt scored against Derby and won us a point. Fryatt scored in a 2-1 win over Hull which gave us a 3. If he'd not score them 2, we'd have been relegated. If it wasn't for Fryatt's presence in the Barnsley game, their defender may well have not made the mistake and we might well have drawn.
Bert Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Who really cares whats happened to Hammond? Thracian does.
accessory Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Hammond is the only striker at our club who has played at both Premier League and international level. I doubt whether Fryatt will reach either of those heights any time soon.

I didn't ever suggest or imply that Fryatt hadn't done important things for us. His contribution the first season he arrived was immense within the situation. And to re-emphasise, it gives me no pleasure at all that he has failed to build on or even maintain that form. You would really need to be part of the club to know all the real reasons for that but it will have been a combination of several.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Hammond is the only striker at our club who has played at both Premier League and international level.I doubt whether Fryatt will reach either of those heights any time soon. Elvis Hammond can't even get in Ghana squad, Junior Agogo can. What does that tell you.
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Doubtless you'll laugh when we're relegated too. You were the one who wished to see us relegated in order to get more kids in the team. Frankly, it would be a disgrace if LCFC were relegated. It would be disastrous.
Thracian Posted 29 February 2008 Author Posted 29 February 2008 You were the one who wished to see us relegated in order to get more kids in the team.Frankly, it would be a disgrace if LCFC were relegated. It would be disastrous. Yet another selective and misleading quote. And now you've turned into a soothsayer. Talk about misplaced confidence. You find it hard enough to accurately assess one player so I've little faith you could predicty the future.
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Yet another selective and misleading quote. You're the second rate hack. You're the one who will misquote and fabricate statistics to suit your ridiculous arguments. You wouldn't last 5 minutes in the real world. You walk away from that computer and you're a henpecked man! Your egocentric, anti-foreign, homophobic diatribe has no place in reasoned debate, it belongs in the trashy tabloids you'd love to write for again! Just remember, the rubbish in those papers is the chip paper Levi will be eating out of tomorrow. Ta-ra!
Daggers Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 You were the one who wished to see us relegated in order to get more kids in the team.Frankly, it would be a disgrace if LCFC were relegated. It would be disastrous. (someone had to do it in order to support Thracian - now that Lord Tubby of Kentuckfriedchickenbucket has gone)
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 It's true Daggers! Anyway, I can't believe this thread is still rumbling on. Ankle injury or no ankle injury, Elvis is sh it and his days here are numbered (for precise details, refer to his contract or Milan's willingness to pay him off).
Daggers Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 It's true Daggers I know - I appear to have the same selective memory
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 I know - I appear to have the same selective memory We're like two peas in a pod. It'd be a cool pod too. With pictures of naked women, actual naked women and some viagra too. Oh and beer. Lots of beer. And wine. Actually, this pod is a bit small, shall we go househunting?
STUHILL Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Ok I'm going to settle this argument!! Hammond and Fryatt are both CRAP! Fryatt has a small chance of not being CRAP, BUT Hammond I'm afraid will always be CRAP! CRAP, settled!
Alexikokopops Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Thracian, a serious question here. What does Elvis offer us that DJ doesn't?
Thracian Posted 29 February 2008 Author Posted 29 February 2008 Thracian, a serious question here. What does Elvis offer us that DJ doesn't? a) While he stays injured nothing. b) If he wasn't injured we have four striker spaces - two on the pitch and two in reserve. For me, if fit, Hammond woud rate behind Howard, Campbell and Hume. c) DJ and Hammond are totally different players, the only similarlity being that they're quick. Hammond is much stronger whereas DJ is basically a guy whose nimbleness and elusiveness enables him to get between defenders.
