Guest Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 No I go to Fitness First in Leicester Forest East, I have been to Next Gen a few times on guest passes but its just too expensive. I pay 29 quid a month and get everything I need I think they wanted 55 quid off me a month, and thats without the racket sports? Hmm not sure. I'm not bothered about the pool either. I just want a gym, sauna and steam room with showers. If you don't mind me asking, do you pay 55+ a month at Next Gen? Next gen is easily the best Gym in the county in terms of services it offers. We've got the couple membership, it works out to about £60-£65 each, including the whole lot. Members are all on different rates; we got an ok deal as we found out someone was paying less than us, but most people we know pay more. We should have temporarily cancelled the rackets, as I've not been able to play, what with all this running I'm doing at the mo, but the spa membership is worth it. It's a nice place, but it is far too small, and it might be dear but there are still plenty of ignorant tossers about. But you get that wherever you go these days.

Has all the machines you would ever want to be honest. I cant merit spending more than that for a place I visit once a week.

I know where you're coming from though, and especially as I'm enjoying running outdoors, it does seem a little silly.

Especially people that leave weights & equipment lying around after useage - PUT IT BACK Also a guy the other week in my gym, thought he was rambo and whacked 120kgs on the smith machine and then attempted a benchpress...he weighed about 9 stone and you could imagine the consequences..He layed there shouting for help as he couldn't lift it off his chest!! Me and this bloked helped it off him, good job really otherwise after a while he would have either crushed his ribs or suffocated under the weight of it. Poor lad/silly twat! You really think Nxt Gen is that small? I thought It's a decent size, you must go @ peak times then!

You really think Nxt Gen is that small? I thought It's a decent size, you must go @ peak times then! I hate hate hate people who never put anything back. Whether it's weights, swiss balls, medicine balls, whatever. There are racks for these things, but do people use them? I try and avoid peak times, but when you have to go after work you don't get much choice. It's really frustrating when you can't do anything just because some stupid bint is trying hard not to smudge her make-up whilst she's on the treadmill that you could actually be doing something useful on. Women give women such a bad name.
General Smuts Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I smoke and drink regularly and excessively, if you're worried about your physical condition just pretend you're over 21.
lildave3 Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Odd place for your first post. Mr CovScum. I swear that was Paul Whitehouse on the right of the pic he posted too.

Manwell Pablo Posted 3 April 2008 Author Posted 3 April 2008 I'm sorry to say that I can't be bothered going through the entire thread:- Is the date fixed now? - Connected to that first question: When are you guys playing? - What are the teams like - have there been any more teams given the sheer amount of "applications"/"guest appearances"/"special appearances"? No date or venue sorted as were persuing an avenue of interest that you will all know about hopefully in about 2 weeks.
Asha Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I'm not ready for this year's because i'm only 5ft6 atm, and only weigh just under 8 stone...which is shocking for someone my age. Plus my football ability is lacking atm. With a year's training both physically and in football ability will be up for next year's if I can be considered...? Plus I've never met anyone on here, something that can hopefully be solved by many away days next year...? Anyway, that's the plan.

Finnegan Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I wouldn't necessarily say that. TPH was certainly putting himself about and making his presence felt, as was a certain twat Raj. And I'm sure more than just you tried to 'put the wind up me' as well. I'm not sure though, judging by the makeup of our side I'd say most of our lot wouldn't mind a more physical game if you lot stepped it up a bit. It may well make things a lot more interesting. So long as it was done in good spirits, of course. No Martin Taylor incidents, please! Oh yeah I don't doubt, but for most of the game you were a distant dot on the horizon weaving in and out of the O21s defense. Tom and me track back? What do you think this is? And I dare say a fair amount of the U21s are as, shall we say, heavy as the older lot but if any of you think you're going to be pushing the likes of Masters, Hilsdonator or Hullfox around you're probably sorely mistaken. And I doubt Mabs is much of a pushover either. & NSLL, I'm about 5'8ish and 9.5 stone and I'm nearly twenty two! LD3 is probably, without exageration, about 7st and about 5'4. If nothing else, if you want to meet people, come down just to watch.

The People's Hero Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Mablo... I didn't want to say earlier but.... are you wearing knickers?
lildave3 Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 NSLL, I wouldn't worry about being small. For starters you're bigger than me, not that it matters anyway.
Sparky Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 pfft, they're pussy cats the lot of 'em. meeeeoowwww !!!
Asha Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 NSLL, I wouldn't worry about being small. For starters you're bigger than me, not that it matters anyway. But I'm not the fast, arrowed-cross type player either.
lildave3 Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 But I'm not the fast, arrowed-cross type player either. I'm not fast. And I dont know what arrowed-cross type player means.
Asha Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I'm not fast. And I dont know what arrowed-cross type player means. Neither do I. Anyway I just hope next year's isn't windy. Being the weight I am that causes problems. But not height ones.
Floating Fox Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Neither do I. Anyway I just hope next year's isn't windy. Being the weight I am that causes problems. But not height ones. YOu don't need to train for the foxestalk match. I missed an open net from a yard today so I doubt you'd make more of an arse than me...If you come i'll have that cameo everyone wants

Scow Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I seem to remember a tasty challenge from Scoweh on you? Really? Maybe my alcohol-fuelled brain can't remember.
