Obviously you've not seen half the over 21 squad in full flow.

They have 'full flow'? :unsure::dunno:

We have full pints?

I'm not sure Ched was talking about pissing contests though! :P

Because I need a year to train/become physically able.

Correct me if im wrong - by the looks of your profile your B'day is 23 May 1992, that would make you almost 16, why wouldn't you be physically able?

Yeah that's true. I guess I'm just not happy with my physical condition/footballing ability. Count me in for next year though defo

At least come and watch then. I'm not sure if theres any room in the squad for me? But if not I'll watch anyway defo.

Seriously though at the age of 15 you'll be fine, in terms of physical fitness anyway. My aerobic fitness is crap however.. and Im only 19 so I can kind of see what you mean mate!

You need to do more cardio, lean muscle mass is the future.

If you really want to know I will be starting my 6 week cut at the end of May. I already do short sprints twice a week at the gym, but I am trying to bulk at the min which involves eating as much healthy stuff and protein each day without being sick and train like a mad man at the gym. The from the end of May will cut down to 500 cals each day below my ordinary reccomended calorie intake limit. That way I should loose all the excess fat and become more ripped.

Easy on paper though

Yeah.

Seriously though, sprinting is not the most effective way to burn off fat, although it will build muscle. Long distance running burns fat, but doesn't build muscle. A mate of ours, who boxes, finds the sauna and steam room useful when he needs to get his weight down for a fight.

What are you training for?

I smoke and drink regularly and excessively, if you're worried about your physical condition just pretend you're over 21.

As probably the least robust player that's been at the last two games*, I can safely say these were probably the two least physical games I've ever been in. I went shoulder to shoulder with Potter in the first game (ahahaha), and JME slid on me from behind in the second because he didn't like me trying to put the wind up him a minute or so before. That was it.

You really don't have to train. Or even be very good, just ask Alex. :P

*LD3 doesn't count. He's like someone's little brother.

And...Come for the laughs. It's a great social gathering. I'll throw in a free beer.

I doubt you could be any worse than me. :crylaugh:

EDIT: Not that I shall be playinggg...

That's true, but only 'cos we were too quick for you lot.

I've improved since then , that Foxestalk game was the first time I'd played an 11 a-side games since I was about 11 lol

If anything though I'd expect that to make it more scrappy to be honest. That's what was really, REALLY sadly lacking from our team really. A bit of brute force.
