Embrace League 1 Do not Fear it!

The club is not about the playing staff or the owners, it is about us. We were here before they came and we'll be here after they leave, and once we are gone our children and the children of our friends will continue in our stead.

Supporting City for me is not about promotion and victory, it can't be, I was away during almost the entirety of MON's reign. For me, supporting this club is about the friendships I have made, the laughs I have and the experiences I share - which have been amplified by the spectacular people I've met from FoxesTalk.

My feelings about relegation are simply that it is a set-back that we will endure and overcome should it happen; no histrionics, no hysterics. I don't think it is realistic to pine for 'glory days', for promotion to the PL or cup triumphs - we are not a big club. We are a messed up club in dire need of stability and a load of TLC...and if relegation sends away the boo boys that can only help matters.

Whatever division we play in next season, whoever calls the shots and whoever runs out onto the field - there will still be cheese and onion cobs, there will still be stupid chants...life will go on. Manpa will still not be able to spell, Thracian will still be harping on about Shush! & management techniques and Raj will still be a loveable twat.

The saddest thing will be to go down with a whimper, for the crowd to continue to sit without sound and the players to acquiesce on the pitch.

I'd much rather go down with some semblance of pride, I'd much rather go down fighting.

Small price pay of if we get a new manager.

Hopefully somebody who's prority is sucess.

Not obsessed with being the king of the one liners, his top bloke 'call me Ollie' image.

2 bit manager with a with non entities as back room staff (Who?)

Has done nothing here or before as a player or manager to suggest he would be decent (limited sucess at Plymouth)

Holloway won the lottery coming to Leicester, big wedge when he's given the boot, then we will have to suffer his stomach wrenching performances in the media.

Funny man, unless he manages or has managed your club.

Something that has really beginning to concern me is the whole "At least we'll be at the top end of the League" attitude.

I'm sure that was the feeling amongst the Club and Supporters at the beginning of this Season??

If we are relegated then we are bound to lose players which means we will have to replace them, as Forest and Leeds have found out it doesn't matter how much history your club has or how nice/big your Stadium is you will still struggle to attract Quality players because you will be in League 1.

I think that its somewhat naive for any of our fans to think that Relegation will almost certainly be followed by a swift Promotion back to the Championship. I for one am very worried about our current situation, what relegation would bring and how it could effect our existence let alone foreseeable future.

It all comes back to Passion, if the players had shown any near the same level as the supporters we would not be in this situation. I am devestated that they have sh*t attitude. If, and its a bloody big if, we manage to stay up the club needs to address the situation and punish those responsible. Fine them, sack them, sell them I couldnt care less just as long as Passion and committment is brought back to our club.

Sadly lads, we won't get relegated. The bad thing is, we'll probably stay up by the skin of our teeth and suffer the same shit again next season. Daggers post was magic, totally agree and understand what he's getting at.

Let's stick together and do our bit over the next 4 games. If we go down, we go down. If we stay up, we stay up. Either way, let's be out there in force, drinking, chanting and trying to enjoy it. Let's face it, we work all week so that we can have a piss up at the weekends, it doesn't matter what division we are in. It's the fans that make this club special, not the club.

I completely agree.

Let's face it. Start playing football, play the opposition off the park. Get some decent football played. Doesn't matter which division, championship or league one. The championship is so poor anyway - can't get any worse. Bristol City are poor. They are top. League 1 last season.

Get the ball down and pass it. I'm happy whatever the opposition. I want to be entertained. If we're sitting pretty at the top of league 1 I'll be happy because I know that when we go back up, that passing football that got us there will easily be enough to beat the rubbish in the championship too.

We need a winning mentality and we'll get there by dissin' on the little teams.

Sorted.

I sort of agree, winning games more often, but look at it if we stay in this division. We will have money to spend on some quality players and if we can get the likes of Hendrie and Bell on a permanent basis we could be a mid-table team at minimum. I don't really want to be watching us play the likes of Yeovil week in week out. We must stay in this division, we have some quality players who are proven in this division such as Howard, Oakley, Hendrie, Dj, Hume - we have a strong squad which could be strengthened in the summer and League 1 isn't the easiest of leagues to get out of - it's a very scrappy and physical league and as our players have shown they have no physical fight or spirit and so we would struggle down there.

I reckon us fans should do absolutely everything this Saturday. We need to get behind the team. I will attempt to stand up all game but will probably be forced to sit down by the people around me >_< I'm really going to get behind the team on Saturday and so should we all. Let's pack the stadium on Saturday and imagine it's an away-day.

C'MON LEICESTER!!! And Ollie - No excuses if we lose or else  ¬

Just had contact with a mate of mine who I've not seen for years, apaprently he's moving back to the UK (was in Lanzarote) I'm guessing thats Huddersfield so theres one away day put up. I know the best B&B ever ever ever in Swindon for £15 pp. Got a mate in Leeds as well, All down to Chez Woolerton for Gillingham.

This might not be to bad actually.

Upside:

a) The humbling will do us good and perhaps enable us to re-focus on what we're trying to do as a club - like score some sodding goals.

b) Many of us can cross off all sorts of grounds we might not have been to.

c) New pubs. Ultra could get a part-time job as a pub guide cos he's a magician when it comes to finding good uns.

d) New manager who's never learned the meaning of the word caution but will get at the opposition from the start and keep at em instead of doing daft things like containing the bloody game and trying to play out time as against Charlton.

e) Yet another chance to offload some shit and replace with better.

f) Shutting the mouths of the smug so and so's who keep referring to League One like some kind of kiddies football yet who will find we'll still get beaten and be everyone's idea of a worthwhile scalp.

g) Fiinally, once we've adjusted, perhaps contesting the top end of the table instead of the bottom. Surely it isn't possible that we would slip into the relegation zone of Division One?

FFS !

Most of the squad will go. We will continue to get crapper and crapper. The stadium will be mostly empty. We will be making massive losses and going into debt and then administration.

Thanks for the positive spin on things, I was worried for a minute that League 1 will be crap.

We'll get in players better than mosty teams in league 1, so considerably well, get promoted, then get promoted the following season, the ground will be full, then we'll qualify for the UEFA cup the season after. Plus we'll be rich.
