morris1234 Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7289773.stm Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric will not condone manager Ian Holloway, who insulted a supporter after Saturday's goalless draw with Bristol City. Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am not sure I approve. I don't think it is the right thing to really call any unproper names to your fans. "We are one family and we should not call names or hurt each other. "I am giving full support to the manager but I am always, always on the side of the supporters as well." Mandaric has also called on the fans to stick with the club: "I hope supporters do continue to give us support at this crucial time.
morris1234 Posted 11 March 2008 Author Posted 11 March 2008 what a joke, lets start f'in and blinding at ollie and the team and insult somebody and then have your chairmaan take sides of said pillock!
brookfox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 No idea what was said but it looked like he was having a right old ding dong with someone to the left of the dug out towards the end of the game.
morris1234 Posted 11 March 2008 Author Posted 11 March 2008 No idea what was said but it looked like he was having a right old ding dong with someone to the left of the dug out towards the end of the game. yeah apparently he just started swearing at ollie when he left BEFORE the end of the game (loyal supporter ) so on the phone in after ollie just called him a pillock! id have done more than that, id have decked the pillcok
Koke Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 If we were getting hammered and barely had a shot on target then I can understand that bloke being pissed off. But for the love of God, we just destroyed the team who are top of the league and on another day we would have scored 5 or 6 goals. He got off lightly by being called a pillock, Ollie should have decked him one.
purpleronnie Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea.
FilboFox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 It was hardly a big insult... I was listening and I laughed my head off when I heard it but I agree with Ollie... what a tosser that fan is! As I remember it Ollie said something like this: "shut your face you pillock." And from the sounds of it... the fan should! Along with some others!
morris1234 Posted 11 March 2008 Author Posted 11 March 2008 So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea. couldnt give a crap about what he said to ollie, its not like hes going to cry is it but just mandaric being like that, hes like your grandad who no matter what, he likes everybody lol protect your manager mandy you pillock!
FilboFox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea. It was after the Bristol City match... which was a MASSIVE improvement!!!

dandannieldanok Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Holloway should have kept his mouth shut even if the fan was a "pillock", it's a clear sign that the pressure is getting to him.
Koke Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea. Constructive criticism is fine but as I have been told he swore at Ollie. So therefore, that bloke deserves everything he gets. And he was only called a pillock ffs, its hardly the biggest insult in the world is it.
davieG Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 A touch of the pot calling the kettle from a chairman who labelled fans as poisonous!
mancunianfox Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Can't really say that I blame the supporter tbh. Ollie definately can't take the pressure.
Fox in a Box Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 How dare Mr Holloway insult a fan of Leicester City, buck your ideas up or 'Get out yourself you pillock' ... at the time I was sat on my return journey on a supporters bus to here him slate a LCFC fan for having an opinion on football, he has a right to say what he pleases, as does Mr Holloway. I have seen no real improvement since he came, and I do hope things change for the better. If Mandaric has come out in the open with "Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am not sure I approve. I don't think it is the right thing to really call any unproper names to your fans" then at least someone is doing something about it. Last thing you want is your fans jumping ship at such a critical time, improve your results or ta-ra duck.
STUHILL Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Ohh FFS, who gives a shit!! He called a fan a pillock, big fooking deal. Get over it you bunch of pussies! We got more important things to worry about!
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea. Quite rich coming from someone who believes Holloway shouldn't have the right to express his opinion or respond to an ear full.
Daggers Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 A touch of the pot calling the kettle from a chairman who labelled fans as poisonous! Yup. As I said - realisation is creeping in. People are finally seeing the future without tinted glasses...and they are getting mighty feisty. Just imagine the kind of language he'll come out with if we lose tonight: Tosser is a great word with a Brizzle accent.
renards Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 having sat behind the dug out at filbo, all mangers at some time would respond at some point inc mc gee running into the crowd etc however holloway has made a rod for his own back, no other manager has insulted his own fans over their reaction to a player (cort) only to bomb him out of the club days later. Made himself look a total buffoon, he's got to go a long way to win over me and obviously many others. comments to the effect of 'if anyone says we have got poor forwards i will sort them out in the car park'..?? The football under him has been poor, an average game against an under performing bristol side following the crap we have been served has been treated like an fa cup final win, are we that easily pleased now? I want to like the man and do well for the sake of the club, but it may be an idea if he put a sock in it until he has something to shout about
Thracian Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 It was after the Bristol City match... which was a MASSIVE improvement!!! Everyone was frustrated after the Bristol game but overall City played really well and if that had been a "standard" performance for the season there would have been few complaints and I doubt we'd have been worried about relegation at all, assuming we had a bit better luck with our finishing. Apart from the result I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and thought most of the players made a reasonable contribution as well. My major complaint was that the substitutions weren't radical enough. But I wouldn't hold that against Holloway. It sounds as if he was cushioning DJ a bit anyway to be honest and if I did want to have a go at the manager it would be about other points we've thrown away like Charlton at home, Watford away and the embarrassment at Blackpool. Not a splendid day's effort against Bristol. My criticisms and the reasons why we're not finishing matches are real enough but if Holloway, unlike Levein and Kelly, is willing to learn from his mistakes and improve in consequence all well and good. I certainly don't see that mindless grumbling by fans after what could and should have been an emphatic win will help one bit. I'm damned sure Holloway was feeling just as frustrated as the fan, as his reaction reportedly showed. As for Mandaric he had the perfect opportunity to stand firmly by his manager but in fact he tried to straggle the two. It doesn't suggest Holloway's on the firmest ground in the chairman's eyes. But MM should realise that if that elusive clan spirit is going to be fostered at City it has to start from the top and that's not always easy. It's not always easy to marry the two.

It was an encouraging performance. We are only as good as our last game, and that to me means we have every reason to be positive going in tonights clash! Another committed, attacking and passionate game like that and we should be able to pick up 3 points. I'm not supporting Ollies comments or excuses but your just as bad as him with your whinging! Least he is showing a bit of fight and passion, and not joining the 'Ohhh we're going down, we're doomed' so-called fans!
