Why shouldn't Ollie defend himself?

Week in week out win, lose or draw some people are never satisfied, if the fan in question did hurl abuse at Ollie, then I feel he is fully justified in commenting back.

All this "we give the players abuse every week and they take it" doesn't wash, we all know some players who have reacted in a much worse manner.

I suppose the so called fan was one of those who called for O'Neill to be sacked years ago, what would have happened then?

Next time Ollie, twat him, it might do him some good.

I think the fan in question just complained at the result and performance and didn't abuse Ollie (could be wrong :dunno: )

It was petulent of Holloway to comment on it IMO. The likes of Dave Jones and Glenn Roeder who get some horrible abuse from time to time have made less of a fuss than this has caused.

We got bigger fish to fry, who foooking cares that he called a fan a pillock and Holloway should save his breath for his players and Manadaric should stop arse licking fans, and I don't want to be part of his football family untill the play like it's there family!!!

So you pay your ticket, constantly watch the team lose, and you're not allowed to state your opinion, didn't realise we lived in north korea.

No we live in Leicester and support a team with a setup similar to North Korea in the sense one man is in full and total control. If he doesn't like then he weilds his axe. No debate.

Support Holloway on this one to be honest. The fact it happened at the Bristol game proves it was just one of our fooking moron that loves to complain whatever happens Dissapoited Mandaric has said this to be honest. Even if the criticism has been justified, Holloway has got the right to give as good as he gets.

Let's be honest, we have a lot of fans who are complete pillocks. Strangely, they always seem to crop up on Radio Leicester phone-ins.

 I agree wholeheartedly with that

If we were getting hammered and barely had a shot on target then I can understand that bloke being pissed off. But for the love of God, we just destroyed the team who are top of the league and on another day we would have scored 5 or 6 goals.

He got off lightly by being called a pillock, Ollie should have decked him one.

Didnt destroy them though did we, all those efforts and the disallowed goals and the blatant pass back mean absolutely nothing. It was a draw.

It's not Holloway's fault the strikers can't finish though is it. He did his bit.

Yeah, the fan has every right, he could call Ollie a little midget Bristolian cnut, but dont expect someone like Holloway to just sit there. Why should he? Fcuking good on you Ollie.

I think the obvious point here is that MM has been a bit silly making this spat public. He should have just had a quiet word with Ollie if he was unhappy, but as usual he uses the media as the medium for his opinions.

He has to say something if the reporter asks him a question about it

This is yet another reason why I don't take a shine to our multi-millionaired 'I put in £11million' chairman, MM. For me he uses the worst possible way to deal with the situation - the media. A quiet word would have done. How many papers will use this and tonight's possible bad result as a way of explaining MMs deteriorating relationship with IH tomorrow morning. How much more encouragement do you want to give them MM? Yet again, this distracts from what really matters - performances on the pitch!

MM - you are the main reason we are in this mess.

END OF.

I think the even more obvious point here is that the ground is being prepared for a couple of poor result.

"I will not tolerate any employees of Leicester City treating the fans of the club in such a derogatory fashion" says Mandaric in a blatant attempt to carry supporters with him as he makes yet another managerial change "and Ian Holloway was unable to appreciate that".

Leicester are currently seeking to bounce back from the two defeats at Southampton and West Bromwich and Milan assures fans that he firmly believes that Ian Dowie will be able to deliver the promotion spot that everyone associated with Leicester City craves...

They are top of the league you idiot! It was an encouraging performance. We are only as good as our last game, and that to me means we have every reason to be positive going in tonights clash! Another committed, attacking and passionate game like that and we should be able to pick up 3 points. I'm not supporting Ollies comments or excuses but your just as bad as him with your whinging! Least he is showing a bit of fight and passion, and not joining the 'Ohhh we're going down, we're doomed' so-called fans!

Why does it make me an idiot to suggest that Bristol under performed on Saturday? I'm aware that they are top of the league, the fact that they are top suggests that.

Your comments at least he's showing a bit of fight and passion and i'm as bad are bizarre to say the least. what do you expect?

Who's the idiot STU'pid'HILL

I think he read it as 'Bristol are an under-performing side' not 'under-performing on saturday' like I did

How dare Mr Holloway insult a fan of Leicester City, buck your ideas up or 'Get out yourself you pillock' ... at the time I was sat on my return journey on a supporters bus to here him slate a LCFC fan for having an opinion on football, he has a right to say what he pleases, as does Mr Holloway.

I have seen no real improvement since he came, and I do hope things change for the better.

If Mandaric has come out in the open with "Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am not sure I approve. I don't think it is the right thing to really call any unproper names to your fans" then at least someone is doing something about it.

Last thing you want is your fans jumping ship at such a critical time, improve your results or ta-ra duck.

that dont make much sense, mate. one minute you are saying how dare he then you said he can say what he likes.... :dunno:

Some of our supporters need to be told to shut up, and like it or not Ollie is the type of person who will do it.

:giggle: I saw the incident - just a few feet from where I sit.

IMO opinion Olly was wrong to get involved. The fan, like the rest of us, had just had enough. Olly seemed to think he was above comment and responded in not exactly a mature or very professional way - not for the first time. He does seem to think that he is ther to make the nearby fans laugh.

He should concentrate on the on pitch matters

...and thus prove that his customer service skills are the same as his managerial ones - completely non-existent.

Holloway's substitutions on Saturday were appalling, as they were again tonight.

He has short-changed us for far too long. It's not at all unreasonable to let him know about it.
