If we get relegated

I'll still be there.

When all is said and done, we don't play for the club, we don't manage the club, we are the club. Players and managers come and go, we stay. I've seen alot these past few years, most of it dire, but yet I still turn up as much as I can, which isn't every game, or even every home game. But I'll always be Leicester City.

This situation looks dire, our inabilty to score goals looks pretty terminal to me, and why? [notmyopinion] Steve Howard can score goals in this division, DJ Campbell is capable of goals in this division, Even Barry Hayles is capable of a reasonable amount in this division [notmyopinion/} and yet our goals per game has ratio is lower now then it has been all season, after signing Hayles and Howard and welcoming back DJ. Then you look at the midfield....actually lets not look at the midfield, I can't be fuked. They're good enough, the defense is the best in the league, the management situation (and poor Ian Holloway thats all I say) has been changed far too many times. This club doesn't need stablity now, it needed it six, maybe even seven months ago. But it's too late for that.

So we're going down. Maybe so, will changing manager really solve our problems, I think not, not at all. What we need is too pull together like we did last year and go in one direction, try and will this team out of trouble, I can't physically afford a match ticket until the 25th of this month but after which I will make sure I can attend every game. And when I go I will do nothing but get behind our team, I will not be screaming to get Holloway out, even if I am fed up with certain aspects of his management, far too late for a change I'm afraid. We need to pull together as a club, get behind each and every player no matter what he does wrong, encourage, that is the only way to change the attitude of a team with it's face is faceing the floor, encouragement. Yes you pay your twenty quid and your entitled to act like a spoilt little child when we don't beat the team thats top of the league after dominating them for pretty much 90 minutes. Yes you can have a dig at the managers when he has the balls to say he doesn't agree with the precious "supporters" who don't actually know their arse from their fuking elbow. Supportes who claim "we've never been outside the top two leagues in our history, If Holloway takes us there I wont follow the team anymore". Fu ck and off. They aren't suppoters.

Think of Bury, Hartlepool, Mansfield. Does the fact that they aren't very good stop their fans from going? My own very personal opinion is that the problem with this club, and this site, is that it's picked up far to many glory fans from the MON era, some of which have had the curtosy to let go, others have held on just to take lumps out of any manager/players that don't win us every single game. They are part of the reason we are were we are IMO. But no matter where we are, I'll still be there.

Sorry to interupt your complaining. When you all stop I might consider posting some more.

Cant really argue with that Manwell. As often as i've personally said i'll do this i'll do that if we are relegated or Holloway is sacked - course i fcuking wont. Leicester is my team - my club - our club and whatever manager, players, chairman or whoever is in charge, it isnt going to change that.

I think DavieG's old? sig he had summed it up, something like its the hope that gets me - its so true. If we'd of carried on like we were pre-Milan, it wouldnt have been such a shock, but having bought the pedigree of players we have, coupled with a good young manager, its hard to believe and hard to take where we are.

But we haveto stick together, its the only way, though i fear even that may not be enough...

I'll be there. London Road, Huish Park, MK Stadium,City Ground, Elland Road, The County Ground, Sixfields, The Den. Not sure if I'll renew my season ticket; I seem to enjoy away games a lot more these days, mainly due to the crowd (and seat theiving - right Manwell). I'll never stop supporting Leicester or going to games.

I'll be there and hopefully we'll show faith in some of the young attacking players this time instead of spending a third season relying on ineffective has-beens and people who don't make enough happen.

Unless, of course, we find a manager who can get the best out of both.

To be honest - I'm sick of this club at the moment.

I'm a silent partner in an abusive relationship and I'm seriously thinking of calling for the police.

I'm with you on this... Away games all the way, they are actually fun.. I can't stand the Walkers Library, it gives me pain.. I go to more away games than home these days..

hmm mind you i've not seen us score an away goal since Villa!

Don't start all this bullsh*t.

You don't know how bad things might get next season. The football in League 1 is pretty damn awful. Once the cold weather starts you'll prefer just to check the result on teletext rather than sit through 90 mins of park hoofball. If we're in the top two winning every week then the fans will remain loyal, but anything else and we'll be like Plymouth, Wigan, Reading etc.

If we do go down, the real fans will be the ones that will be there every game or as often as they can be.

It's about the same as in this league to be honest.

ANd who goes to watch Leicester for the football anyway?

You, and whoever else can do what you want, I don't claime to be a die hard, I didn't go tonight, I wouldn't go to Carlise on a tuesday night, and I didn't go to Newcastle/Sunderland/Bolton for a mid week fixture in the Prem. But going down will not affect my support for this club.

Some clubs are geared up for lower league football.

If Leicester City went down with all the financial strains it has it would be a catastrophe.

I admire the sentiment and loyalty but if there is any way we can get 4-5 jammy wins then thank you very much and forget this whole scenario.

It's certainly not too late to get in a new Manager to try and turn things.

Often a new Manager's most influential period is when he first takes over, and if we found someone like last season to steer us to a few wins and away from the danger zone then it's thanks very much.

I had high hopes for Holloway, but he has had the transfer window... loans... etc etc and it's not happening.

What do we have to lose by trying someone else if we are going down anyway?

Manadaric might aswell take a gamble with a few quid to avoid a financial disaster.

I would.

If we sack Ian Holloway we deserve to be relegated.

So why not at least try to stay up?

Well mine neither.

I'll still go, but this season has been enough to put me off going anyway. I have to travel a fair distance so it's different for me, but if it was on my doorstep i'd view it a bit differently.

It's not going to be much fun watching Carlise on a cold Tuesday night in half empty 32,000 Stadium.

Brilliant Manwell, You Support Leicester till the end and we need more FANS like you. It's easy for me to say i will support Leicester no matter what because i'm not the one spending my hard earned watching shite. But if you are a Leicester fan you must stick it out thru bad and good (they will be back).
