If we get relegated

I really couldn't care if we go down. In fact I want us to, and i'm not just saying this because im angry or upset.

The club needs a fresh start, we have been failing for so long that it now seems impossible to do well.

No one at the club believes we are any good anymore, no matter what players, manager or chairman we have - we still do badly.

Im a believer that if we go down and start winning again, then this will give everyone a bit of a lift, and we will start believing in ourselves again. And I am only saying this, in the hope that we get immediate promition back to the Championship.

It would be a disaster to go down and end up staying there, it is a hard league to get out of.

But im bored of playing the same old clubs every year and usually just scraping relegation. It's same old same old.

So let's go down and enjoy ourselves for a year, top of the table for once and make a fresh start.

Im wanting Holloway to stay by the way.

Get a grip mate. Look at Forest. It aint as simple as that.

I think you need to look up the defintion of "maybe"

Fair point, and accepted..

BUT!

You are saying that a change of Manager cannot alter our path.

So why do football clubs going through bad times sack their Manager and make a change if it never works?

Just as employing one Manager can be a disaster, employing another can be a huge success.

In my opinion Holloway is playing certain players out of loyalty because he signed them and playing a formation that does not suit the playing personnel at his disposal.

He had his chance, and blew it so lets try and fight the fire now before it becomes an inferno.

If you needed to find a needle in a haystack before sunset to save your life and your helper was blind would you not try a man with a magnifying glass instead to help you? Even if you only had 5 minutes left?

Resignation to league one is not all it's cracked up to be.

It would be the biggest catastrophe ever to hit this club, and anything, yes anything to avoid it should be tried.

Even if the players all dye their hair green and sign lymmericks before kick off I dont care, just dont go down!

Yeah but we have a better squad than they did. Look at Leeds, without their 15 point deduction they would be sitting nicely in 2nd now.

Yeah, we have a better squad than most in this division and its really helped us here!

And will the squad really be as good come the start of the season when the ''best'' players do one?!

I'M LEICESTER 'TIL I DIE, I'M LEICESTER 'TIL I DIE, I'M LEICESTER 'TIL I DIE, I'M LEICESTER TIL I DIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more... as much as I don't want us to go down, and I still don't think we will, IF we do, I'll still be there and supporting this club until the very day I go!

Everyone needs to stop getting so edgy and nervous. What happens happens. There's nothing we can do.

Elvis and his ankle will help us out  Him and bazza up front, you wait and see.........

At the end of the day i'm never gunna desert my team.

Even if we go down, I'm still a Leicester fan. Nothing changes that.

I go as much as i can which hasn't been much lately but i hope to pick up again soon and get a ST next season. I do occasionally moan about the Football we sometimes serve up, but who doesnt?

And if we dont you say we are going down anyway.

So why not at least try to stay up?

We have 8 games left.

Sack Ollie, we'll need to find a new manager, by that time it could only be 6 games left.

The new manager will want to get his ideas across, which takes time, new style of play, new coaches. It just doesn't make sense for him to be sacked now.

We have a capable enough squad to be better than where we currently are.

AND..... at the risk of being of slated by many people...... we have a good manager here too who is more than capable of not only managing us well in this division.... but ALSO the Premiership if we can get there...

Why is everyone talking like we're down?

We have 8 games left. 17.4 % of the season.

There's a potential 24 points still to play for.

Three home games against teams around us which, if we win, we'll most likely be safe.

This defeatism is no good you know. If you did this for work you'd be fired. Managers don't like wet blankets bringing everyone down wot. Be a team player.

I couldn't care a fig for Holloway. Maybe if he goes we'll get a honeymoon period with someone new. We had enough points to stay up as it turned out when Kelly was sacked last season. Obviously we haven't got enough now unless someone hits administration.

You wouldn't leave a movie with 17.4% left. Why give up now! Vote for 'Keep The Faith'. Lets face it if you're cowards and losers in your personal life, you don't want to be the same in your football life, do you ? do you ?

Just got back from Southampton and I really dont see staying up as an option now. Both sides were utter pants but they took the one chance that they had and we missed a couple of sitters. Not only can I not see where the next win comes from, I cant see when we'll score again

The easy thing to do is to moan and whinge and fret about us going down - we might go down! And we are in trouble, serious trouble. And being a fan means we're close to being helpless. But we're not totally without a say in LCFC's future. We're at a point at which we need every last bit of effort we can find and that means that us as fans need to do our bit.

Getting on Ollie's back (now) is stupid and self defeating. Getting on the players backs (now) is stupid and self defeating.

It's time we all backed the players and the manager, and realise that the only thing we can do as fans is give the team our fullest support. The reason being is that I and all of us don't want to see LCFC playing the arse-end teams of English football.

Sort it out and back the fcuking team.

I couldnt give a fcuk about next season at the moment :)

**** being there next season.

Be there THIS season. Come and support the team home and away for the following games and at least if we go down we'll have gone down being some very proud supporters despite our football team being a bunch of wankers. We've seen what support can do with the likes of Preston, we need to replicate that and inspire these useful twats for the sake of our football club. They can **** off at the end of the season, we can't.

Let's not lie down and take this, come to West Brom on Saturday and sing your ****ing hearts out.

I'll still be there.

When all is said and done, we don't play for the club, we don't manage the club, we are the club. Players and managers come and go, we stay. I've seen alot these past few years, most of it dire, but yet I still turn up as much as I can, which isn't every game, or even every home game. But I'll always be Leicester City.

This situation looks dire, our inabilty to score goals looks pretty terminal to me, and why? [notmyopinion] Steve Howard can score goals in this division, DJ Campbell is capable of goals in this division, Even Barry Hayles is capable of a reasonable amount in this division [notmyopinion/} and yet our goals per game has ratio is lower now then it has been all season, after signing Hayles and Howard and welcoming back DJ. Then you look at the midfield....actually lets not look at the midfield, I can't be fuked. They're good enough, the defense is the best in the league, the management situation (and poor Ian Holloway thats all I say) has been changed far too many times. This club doesn't need stablity now, it needed it six, maybe even seven months ago. But it's too late for that.

So we're going down. Maybe so, will changing manager really solve our problems, I think not, not at all. What we need is too pull together like we did last year and go in one direction, try and will this team out of trouble, I can't physically afford a match ticket until the 25th of this month but after which I will make sure I can attend every game. And when I go I will do nothing but get behind our team, I will not be screaming to get Holloway out, even if I am fed up with certain aspects of his management, far too late for a change I'm afraid. We need to pull together as a club, get behind each and every player no matter what he does wrong, encourage, that is the only way to change the attitude of a team with it's face is faceing the floor, encouragement. Yes you pay your twenty quid and your entitled to act like a spoilt little child when we don't beat the team thats top of the league after dominating them for pretty much 90 minutes. Yes you can have a dig at the managers when he has the balls to say he doesn't agree with the precious "supporters" who don't actually know their arse from their fuking elbow. Supportes who claim "we've never been outside the top two leagues in our history, If Holloway takes us there I wont follow the team anymore". Fu ck and off. They aren't suppoters.

Think of Bury, Hartlepool, Mansfield. Does the fact that they aren't very good stop their fans from going? My own very personal opinion is that the problem with this club, and this site, is that it's picked up far to many glory fans from the MON era, some of which have had the curtosy to let go, others have held on just to take lumps out of any manager/players that don't win us every single game. They are part of the reason we are were we are IMO. But no matter where we are, I'll still be there.

Sorry to interupt your complaining. When you all stop I might consider posting some more.

Good post. I've promised myself I would be getting a season ticket next season way before we were in a relegation battle and that hasnt changed. Holloway getting sacked isn't the way forward either, that would be a massive mistake.

People that think League One will be easy can think again! Just look at Forest and Leeds... lol

If we get relegated....

i will:

keep the faith

keep my head held high

still renew my season ticket

still go to as many away games as i can(even if that means dropping for 20,000+ grounds to 5,000+ grounds)

and still remain proud to be a LEICESTER CITY SUPPORTER!!!!

Probably the best and most sensible post i've read. Everything you have said makes sense.

Cant add anything else to what you have written!

Well said sir!

I bow down!
