These muppets who put on the blue shirts, you will be synomous with failure for the rest of your careers,if you get us relegated

No they won't some other poor (or should that be stupid) club with poor fans will buy (take them of our hands) them and it'll all be forgotten.

But us, well we'll be left in the shit thanks to them.

I really don't know what to think, If we go down these players who got us in the shit should get us out, but at the same time I want to see the back of every single one of them, even our "better" () players can fook off.

I feel sick :sick::sick:

Just looked at the other fixtures...I reckon Covscum & Southampton will pick up maximum points today. I think Weds will get 3 points today but this doesn't bother me that much as I reckon it's us or Blackpool. Anyway, today's all about THE CITY. That's the only one that counts.

Who's for the drop? Leicester City are embroiled in one of the closest relegation dogfights in years. With just three games left, there are seven teams, from City in 22nd place to Norwich in 16th, all desperately fighting for their Championship lives. lcfc_logo.gif

Here, Andy Mann asks reporters close to the other teams who they think will drop down to league one

Adam Leitch, Southampton Daily Echo

“The feeling among the fans is that if Southampton beat Burnley at home today they are pretty much there.

“If they don't win, they are right in it because the next game is West Brom away then Sheffield United at home.

“That's winnable but everyone fears that James Beattie will come back and put the Saints down.

“My feeling is it will be Leicester or Blackpool. Leicester have played the Saints three times this season and I have not been massively impressed - though last time out they should have got a draw or maybe even a win.

“There's usually one team that drops out of nowhere and they are often the one to go. Blackpool look like being that team.”

REMAINING GAMES

Today: Burnley (H)

April 28: West Brom (A) 7.45pm

May 4: Sheff Utd (H)

Paul Thompson, Sheffield Star

“Although Wednesday have lost only once in 13 games, they have won only three - and that's why they are still in trouble.

“I have been involved in some hair-raising scraps. In 1990, Wednesday looked safe but lost five of the last six and went down from the top flight. This is one of the closest. I am struggling to give a prediction but I think it will be either Blackpool, Coventry, Leicester or Southampton.”

REMAINING GAMES

Today: Blackpool (A)

April 26: City (A)

May 4: Norwich (H)

Michael Bailey , Norwich Evening News

“Norwich are one result away from being properly clear.

“Because the difference is four points and there are three games to go, there is still the threat.

“It's a tricky one to predict who will go down. I think Leicester have enough there to pull out.

“I would probably go for Blackpool.

“But if Coventry don't pick up anything at Colchester today, it could be a big ask for them.”

REMAINING GAMES

Today: West Brom (H)

April 26: QPR (H)

May 4: Sheff Wed (A)

Simon Meeks, Sheffield Star (Barnsley reporter)

“If Barnsley beat Leicester, Leicester can't catch them, which makes it a huge game.

“It's the kind of banker they have to win and one they feel they can win. Not that Leicester are a poor side. At Bramall Lane, they were incredibly unlucky. But for an outrageous piece of refereeing they would have had a good chance. They have a lot to do and I think it will be Leicester or Blackpool.”

REMAINING GAMES

Today: City (H)

April 26: Charlton (H)

May 4: Cardiff (A)

Steve Canavan, Blackpool Gazette

“One more win should do it for Blackpool and today is huge.

“Blackpool play Sheffield Wednesday at home where they have lost only four games all season.

“To go down, I'm going for Leicester at the moment.

Their last three fixtures are as tricky as anyone's.

“And, if you are in that third-bottom spot, it's more difficult to get out of it.

“You want the points on the board at this stage.”

REMAINING GAMES

Today: Sheff Wed (H)

April 26: Plymouth (A)

May 4: Watford (H)

Andy Turner, Coventry Telegraph

“There's no doubt Coventry have the ability to get out of it.

“The worrying thing is that in the last two games against Stoke and Watford they have played one good half and one bad half.

“Colchester today is a monster fixture. They are down and they are playing with a bit of freedom.

“Coventry could be nervous and tense and, if they don't play for 90 minutes, they will come away with little or nothing.

“The feeling is if Coventry get three points today, they should be okay. If they don't then the worry really will set in.

“I think it will go to the last game and I think it will be between Sheffield Wednesday, who are far from out of it and who no-one is mentioning, Leicester and Blackpool.”

April 26: Wolves (H)

As will Ian Holloway.

He wanted a chance at managing a club with potential, and our chairman gave him it.

I doubt whether he'll get a chance anywhere else.

Coventry, sadly, beat Colchester 5-1 - giving them some breathing space.

Sheffield Wednesday, handily, lost 2-1 to Blackpool (thanks to Paul Dickov, no less) - pushing them back into the relegation zone.

Southampton lost 1-0 at home to Burnley, keeping them in trouble - they currently place 21st (one point clear, with a much much inferior goal difference).

Now, I know that none of us want to think about this BUT if we were to lose to Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday, although it would be a VERY difficult situation and we'd be thrown back into the depths again, the win today may just have just saved us anyway.

Southampton have less points than us at the moment and it could well stay that way as their last two games are:

(a) West Brom

(h) Sheffield United

Now I know this league is full of surprises but I can't really see them getting anything more than a point in these two games if that and so, because of their severely inferior goal difference, they'd be 22nd and down.

This is all well and good saying this, but we need to WIN against Sheffield Wednesday and secure our place for sure!!! This is just a back up! ;)

I dunno - I can't see them getting close to anything at West Brom, and you're right that they've got a not-so-flattering goal difference, but Sheffield United at home they could win - we're not out of it yet!

Yeah exactly. West Brom away fair enough, maximum 1 point from that but Sheffield United at home is a very winnable game for them.

You sure... they've been really poor of late... I mean I'd have thought that today at home against Burnley would be a game that they might try and get something from and they've failed and Sheffield United are 8th now and pushing for the play-offs...

Posted

yep they'll get something out of the last game i'm sure, Sheff U wont have anything to play for and Beattie will probably slack it off

We were really poor going into West Brom away weren't we?

Guess so... BUT we are Leicester and are prone to the occasional 4 goal win every now and then. lol

Just had another go on the predictor :blink::blink:

A team that no-one is really talking about are right in it I reckon. Norwich have got 2 nasty games against Q.P.R and Sheff Weds. I fancy Weds on the last day if they can sort out their injuries.

I've got Leicester, Norwich and scum all on 52 points on the last day. Scum and Norwich both -12, with Norwich filling that last place :S

Would goals + be used to sort this out?

Yeah I think it's goals scored for that decide it in the event of a tie, but i remember hearing that way back when if two clubs weere tied there was a playoff for league places (not that case now of course, interesting all the same).

There's an incredibly good chance that Stoke will be up by the time we play them. In fact i'm gonna throw it down that they will be.

Is this good or bad?

Posted

If we draw with sheff Weds and Norwich lose to QPR

We'd have

LCFC -1 & 52 Pts

Norwich -10+ & 52 Pts

Sheff Weds -6 & 50 Pts

Norwich then play Sheff Weds last game

Even if we lose to Stoke

If they draw - SW would have only 51 points

If Norwich win SW would have only 50 points

If SW win Norwich would have -10+ & 52 Pts

So worse case scenario for us is draw with SW & lose to Stoke we'd just need Norwich to lose to QPR next week.

Well a point COULD be sufficient.... This scenario is not completely unlikely: at least one out of Cov, Norwich or Barnsley won't pick up another point OR Southampton won't pick up more than one point OR Wednesday won't pick up more than 2.
