Milky Posted 13 April 2008 Posted 13 April 2008 Norwich aren't safe yet after losing to Ipswich today. They'll probably need more than the 52 points. GD of -9 aswell. West Brom is a tough game, and Sheff Wed may be fighting on the last day, so they'll need something off QPR. Outside bet for relegation, but still not safe. Tilley Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Just about everytime I'm on the internet I go on Championship Predictor to go through all different scenarios. With Leicester beating Barnsley, then drawing with Sheff Wed. I see this being the table going into the last match of the season. 18. Sheff Wed -5 53 19. Cov -12 53 20. S'oton -17 53 21. Leicester -1 52 22. B'pool -5 51

davieG Posted 14 April 2008 Author Posted 14 April 2008 The thing is no one really has a tough run in because the teams at the top are dropping points quicker than a tart (in the interests of PC Tart = male or female) drops his/her knickers.

I've been reading comments by Owls fans on their site. A few are worthy of reproducion here: leicester must really getting nervous.they are bringing 6000 to oakwell on saturday. leicester must really getting nervous.they are bringing 6000 to oakwell on saturday.[/b] And heres nother one, from someone, replying to another fan looking for tjickets for their matychat the Walkers: Considering they are only getting 20000 each week i would hope they will release some. I am just hoping for a repeat of last season to be honest although i doubt we will see so many good goals in one game for some time!
spirefox Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 I'm too nervous to watch it on sky now, because Plymouth scored when I wasn't watching.
lavrentis Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 I'm too nervous to watch it on sky now, because Plymouth scored when I wasn't watching. Thats the complete opposite to me, I am scared not to watch it because I have watched it from the start.

Bluefoxtim Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Watched the last 15 minutes on the net. Sheff Wed seemed to be a lot more determined than we were. Lots of fancy flicks and often looked dangerous. We will need to better Blackpool's result on the last day of the season to stay up. Mark my words.
lee7 Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 at least it was only a draw it could of been worse wednesday could of won. from what i saw of the game and what i heard wednesday sounded like the better team.
Pilgrim Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 at least it was only a draw it could of been worse wednesday could of won. form what i saw of the game and what i heard wednesday sounded like the better team. They were the better team. They wanted it more than we did and it was only a matter of time before they equalised. If I was a Leicester fan I would be very worried.

At least 20 teams in this division seem to act, two have already gone down and the rest sort of fatally tries to make the best out of the current situation. We belong to the latter category.
FilboFox Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Damn ref for the Sheff Wed vs Plymouth game was from Leicestershire! Can't he have fixed it a little!?! lol They were the better team. They wanted it more than we did and it was only a matter of time before they equalised. If I was a Leicester fan I would be very worried. Why? We're more likely to stay up than Coventry!
tartanowl Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Another draw. You'll be quite pleased with that I imagine. With the amount of pressure and chances we had we should have won IMO. We were definitely the better side. Great hit by Tommy Spurr for the equaliser. Next weekends results are going to be massive. The table will look a lot clearer come 5pm Saturday.

Sort of similar to our point at home on Saturday. Last minute, should have won, but a vital point nonetheless.

I thought you would win. Next weekend. Barnsley vs Leicester. Blackpool vs Sheff Wed. Colchester vs Cov. I think if we don't win & Cov & Sheff Wed do, then we are definantely down.
Koke Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 This will be a long week. The games can't come quick enough. I wish we were playing tomorrow instead of Saturday.

I live in Sheffield, both my Wednesday and Blades mates said Wednesday were worth the win in the bramell lane derby. you seem well motivated, quick, and skillfull so should have the edge... but its a world of sh@t down here and i think its gona be a last day 90mins of hell. good luck
Maybes Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Agree. I thought you would win. Next weekend. Barnsley vs Leicester. Blackpool vs Sheff Wed. Colchester vs Cov. I think if we don't win & Cov & Sheff Wed do, then we are definantely down. Not neccesarily as blackpool would only be 2 points clear of us with 2 games left. We would still have a chance, but still we HAVE to get at least a point on saturday.
FilboFox Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Last year we went to Barnsley and won 1-0 to confirm our safety... if we manage that again this year, I think we'll be safe as I think that Coventry are looking poor at the moment and might not win another game now... COME ON LEICESTER!!!

C-man Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 Do we want Barnsley to beat Hull tonight so that they are safe by the time they play us? Or do we want Barnsley to lose so they will be a bit more nervous by the time they play us?
