We could actually survive if we draw with Wednesday, and Norwich lose to Qpr, as they play each other on the last day. Anyway, let's beat Wednesday and put this horrible season behind us. Then we can relax for the Stoke match and enjoy a game for the first time, with no pressure on us.

We've only had a few this season where the pressure's really been on. We weren't under a lot of pressure (to win) when we played Chelsea away...

There's an incredibly good chance that Stoke will be up by the time we play them. In fact i'm gonna throw it down that they will be.

Is this good or bad?

Stoke will beat Colchester away!

They will be up when we play them, they may however have a chance to be champions if West Brom don't win both their matches

Nah, we will be safe if we beat Wednesday. End of.

We would then be 5 points ahead of them with 1 game to go.

But since we don't do back to back victories, I reckon a draw is on the cards. And QPR will do us a favour as well.

Just worked it out, we can be safe next Saturday IF

we draw with Wednesday and QPR beat Norwich at Carrow Road !!!

I fail to see how you got this prediction when I have done it on BBC Predictor with us drawing and Norwich winning with us only being 2 points from safety. With a game still to play.

:dunno:

Perhaps because you have Norwich winning and he said Norwich losing.

If we draw with sheff Weds and Norwich lose to QPR

We'd have

LCFC -1 & 52 Pts

Norwich -10+ & 52 Pts

Sheff Weds -6 & 50 Pts

Norwich then play Sheff Weds last game

Even if we lose to Stoke

If they draw - SW would have only 51 points

If Norwich win SW would have only 50 points

If SW win Norwich would have -10+ & 52 Pts

That could well be it.

Jesus christ, thats blew my head straight off my shoulders :giggle: But yeah, thats probably what will most likely happen.

Although I expect.

Leicester to draw against Sheff Wed & Stoke.

Sheff Wed to draw against us & beat Norwich.

Southampton to lose against West Brom but beat Sheff Utd.

Norwich to beat QPR, so they would be safe before they play Sheff Wed.

IF this does happen. Leicester, Sheff Wed & Southampton will all be on 53 points, with Southampton going down on GD.

Lets get rid of the complications & just beat Sheff Wed!!!!

I can just imagine the last day of the season where all 3 teams change position every 3 minutes. One minute we are staying up, the next minute we are going down. And at the end we all finish on 53 points but thank **** for our superior goal difference. Not good for my health at all.

Wolves beat Cardiff tonight and are only 2 points off the play-offs. - Cov's their next game tasty although Cov should get something from Charlton who seem to have given up.

I don't like the fact that Stoke are only 2 points off WBA, meaning that if they win on Saturday at home to Colchester (a certainty surely?!) irrespective of whether WBA win or not, they still have a chance to win the league outright and they'll want that big time. So if we need anything from that game to ensure safety, it could be a big ask. They are a brutal team, we'd need some thugs out there ourselves.

Let's hope QPR do us a massive favour and we avoid defeat on Sat. Sheff Wed have an horrendous injury list and haven't won in 8 or 9 games, but with 4000 vocal fans and our knack for playing crap at home, they could still hurt us.

It's in our hands and I hope the players have the bottle and composure to get the job done. It's good to see players like Hume, who can win matches, back in form.

Wolves winning last night, adds spice to there game against COV.

if cov lose we draw on saturday we go above them....

they have charlton away, tough game but its another way to look at how we can avoid the drop.

Hardly... Charlton are freefalling at the moment and have absolutely nothing to play for.

Don't you see. It's all set up perfectly! No back to back wins all season, then when we finally get one, we stay up!

Or we fail to take our final chance....
