The Spanish League is better, or should i say has a better quality of teams through out the league.
What im trying to say is that the teams further down the table in La Liga are better sides than the ones we have in a similar position.

Or at least i think anyway.

I agree with you. England's top four may beat Spain's top four but I'd fancy the rest of the league against the bottom half of the prem.

Quality of the Spanish league looked pretty crap when i was the Nou Camp on Sunday. One game admittedly.

Hes fooking fantastic i love him.

Hes immense, his pace, skill, control and a finshed article are just quality. And playing a team of nobodys, Ronaldo does it in the Prem against the Fulhams and Wigans, are they nobodys. Hes doing it at every level including the Champo League and Copa America. That game he played against Mexico was crazy.

Exactly the same with Ronaldo but he will do it at this European Championships.

Messi does exactly the same in La Liga playing nobodys Getafe, Mallorca and Malaga. The Premier League has more quality in the league with the likes of Spurs, Villa, Newcastle and Everton.

Didn't 2 spanish teams get through to the UEFA cup final last year, and who won the Champions League?

If Man utd get through and Barcelona too. That will be 3 english teams out of 4. It wouldn't surprise me if Barcelona win it.

I would surprise me now.

Barca are on a run of pretty bad form of late, and have Ronaldinho and Messi both out injured. To be quite honest I think Man Utd won't mind playing them at all at the moment.

I'd love a Liverpool/Man United final, for viewing purposes. The two most successful teams in English history going head to head on the biggest club stage of all. Impressive.

Saying that, I still want Chelsea to win it. So as long as Man United beat Barca, i'll be happy.

Wouldn't really want to be a neutral walking the streets of Moscow on final day if those two make it to the final. Would be a massive Police presence.

This is only one of the reasons why I think venues for finals should be made when you know who the finalist's are.

What is the point for United and Liverpool fans to fly across Europe to then meet up in Moscow. Can only lead to trouble.

Roma wasted their big chance when De Rossi missed that penalty. At 2-1 Man Utd would have been sweating a little, and it could have spurred Roma on bigtime.

But I'm looking forward to the semis now, I think United will be too strong for Barca over the two legs. My mind is being gradually swayed by the idea of them winning the competition but I'm still not sure.

My mate just text me saying he saw Andy Gray in his car outside. Surely that has to be more entertaining than that game. Was boring to say the least. Good win for United though, but can see Barca winning in the semi. Barca v Chelsea final.

Do you not remember the last 2 CL ties involving these two teams!?!? Admittedly it may be better this year without Mourinho's impressive yet totally unambitious tactics, but the last 4 games were all DIRE. And yes, even considering the occasion.

surely others can remember how painful these fixtures were (like 80% of top 4 games)

I do remember, and I enjoyed watching them as fixtures. I guess I just like watching any kind of football too much! lol

All the game needs is an early goal. And hopefully the 2nd leg is at Anfield because games at Stamford are always boring. Chelsea sometimes excite away from home.
