Raj Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I know you said domestic but he was brilliant in the Champions League when Arsenal got to the final seeing of the likes of Juve and Real Madrid. Thats why i said Domestic!!! P.S I hope United win it.
lildave3 Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 I'm 10 minutes into watching this and i've come to the conclusion Roma can't defend for shit.
shen Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 Awful penalty decision, awful penalty! Bad decision, but you could forgive the ref/lino for seeing Brown kick Mancinis foot into the ball... From several angles you can't clearly see whether Brown gets a clean touch on the ball or not.

Brilliant goal by United though.
Ultra Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 All the game needs is an early goal. And hopefully the 2nd leg is at Anfield because games at Stamford are always boring. Chelsea sometimes excite away from home. 2nd leg is at the Bridge - where Chelsea NEVER lose. Payback time methinks. Liverpool's hoodoo will be ended once and for all - Torres or no Torres. Abramovich will be desperate to lift the CL this year, especially with the final being in Moscow. And he may just do it.

If Liverpool can get a 2 goal lead at home though I cannot see Chelsea scoring 2 goals against them. Some reason Liverpool seem very strong defensively in the Champions League. Liverpool went to Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and never looked in trouble. Going to be a hell of tie though.
Joe. Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 Liverpool wil go through for me. It's just something about them and this competition that makes them a totally different side. And Chelsea are nothing special either.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 I would piss myself if Liverpool dumped Chelsea out of a cup competition at the semi final stage again but surely this farcical run has to stop sometime. Mind you Ultras backing Chelsea so Liverpool are bound to win. Fancy United to see off Barce who have serious problems on and off the pitch and probably have a favourable draw to thank for their semi final place.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 Man Utd are 7/4The rest are all 3/1. I'd fancy Chelsea at 3/1.
sdb Posted 10 April 2008 Posted 10 April 2008 i got barca at 7/1 at start of the season. reckon they'll do it too. iwant Grant to win it though and piss everyone off
Uncle Albert Posted 21 April 2008 Author Posted 21 April 2008 Liverpool v Chelsea tomorrow night. Hopefully will be a very good game. Steven Gerrard injury doubt. There is noway he wont play in this game.
Tommy G Posted 21 April 2008 Posted 21 April 2008 Barca vs Utd in prospect looks like such a tasty game. I hope it doesn't dissapoint like Chelsea vs L'pool is likely to do so.

Barcelona are actually nowhere near as good as most people think, their draw has been increadible favourable and I think Manchester United will completley over run them, espeically at Old Trafford as Barcelona have been shite away from home since they last won the league.

Indeed. Barcelona have been awful in La Liga for the last 3 months. Completely failed to take advantage of Real Madrid being dreadful, for the most part, since the turn of the year.

Completely failed to take advantage of Real Madrid being dreadful, for the most part, since the turn of the year. I always think teams like Barca turn it on in the big games, it always worries me when everyone picks Man U to go through, its like when everyone predicting england to win, it usually ends in dissapointment. I wish Barca v utd was the final. But I'm predicting Chelsea v Barca final. So put your money on Liverpool v man u final.
Tilley Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I hope Chelsea win tonight. I love to see the Anfield Kop in pure silence. Carragher & Gerrard both one yellow card away from suspension. Chelsea/Man Utd final although I'd prefer Chelsea/Barca.
Geo V Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 A Liverpool-Man Utd final would be just amazing. I supported Liverpool as a lad before I saw real footballers like Ally Mauchlen and Paul Ramsey so I will always have a soft spot for the scousers and want them to stuff one dimensional Chelski. Predictions Liverpool 3-0 Chelsea Barca 2-1 Man Utd (and 2nd legs) Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool Man Utd 2-0 Barca
SamL Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I reckon Liverpool will just shade it tonight, 2-1 maybe. They'd take that, would be a good result. Chelsea would gain a lot of confidence from gaining the away goal. I'm going for a Liverpool - Barca final.

I don't think it will be as clear cut as you may think. I agree with your statement but Im sure Barca can turn on the style if needed. Still Utd to win it, but it depends which formation they play. They definately need to play Hargreaves this is key. Especially for his energy as it will be a high tempo game, he will hopefully be able to cut out some of the danger provided by the likes of Messi/Ronaldinho and Co
Uncle Albert Posted 22 April 2008 Author Posted 22 April 2008 I just hope it is going to be one of them Anfield night's.
Maybes Posted 22 April 2008 Posted 22 April 2008 I just hope it is going to be one of them Anfield night's. Fck Liverpool v Chelsea Barca v United for me!
