MONreborn Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 I've had enough of this 1.6 million pounds joke, he's done nothing outstanding this season, and on the pitch it seems like he doesn't try as hard as he should. Now I find out, after he had found out he was not going to be able to play yesterday, Holloway asked him to travel up to Sheffield anyway ( to show some encouragement to the lads), he replied in a blunt NO. The guy doesn't know what team spirit is! GET RID

Geo V Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 I'd expect nothing else from our current team. He's on his way out anyway, You heard it hear first Ive seen that written over the last month mate! If he goes, it wont be that bad as he hasnt done what we wanted but he is just one of many who havent lived up to the hype this season and shouldnt be the scapegoat.
Kilworthfox Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 I'd expect nothing else from our current team. He's on his way out anyway, You heard it hear first Where did you hear it first tho?
Daggers Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 Where did you hear it first tho? Matt hears voices too. There again, so do I...and they mainly say "Have you done those jobs I asked you to do?", "Don't think you are leaving that there!" and "If you don't like it how about you do the ironing for a bloody change!"

I live on my own so all I hear is all those girls fighting to get into my house, bloody noisy bastards
ronnup Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 I'd be gutted to see him go, his got the best raw talent out of all of our strikers I think. He's not had much chance to do anything. Proof on this story?
Webbo Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 How do you know this? How on God's earth do you know this. Are you Holloway? Barber and Walsh said something to this yesterday. I think from what they said was that IH wanted DJ to have an injection so he could play if necessary. PS Walsh also mentioned that Barber is moving to Dubai soon.
Legend_in_blue Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 Walshie mentioned something on the radio about his supposed injury yesterday. According to him, he reckons a quick jab would have done him ok and he could have played. Is he really giving 100% to the cause? Make of it what you will. I am just stating what he said.

The guy doesn't know what team spirit is! GET RID Not sure whether you'd play at all with a (rumoured) hernia. Don't know about his reaction - it would be nice to hear his view - but some players simply hate being spectators. And had he been available to play he might have been pissed off at the fact that he wasn't selected and might not have felt like he could contribute to the comeraderie thing. Nothing unusual in that.

Candidcamera Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 DJ has a lot of injuries - leave him alone. Where is Elvis ? on loan somewhere ? Couldn't care less about Barber the most annoying reporter ever to work with R Leicester.
MONreborn Posted 6 April 2008 Author Posted 6 April 2008 How do you know this? I don't want to get the person who told me in to trouble, it's a former player who was in the pub on saturday night and had consumed a little bit too much alcohol, but showed he has real passion for the club. This is 100% true, of that I am sure! I also know he went in to speak to the ref after the game, and the referee said, after hearing what fans were saying, he would be looking at the red card and apologised although saying he did not make the decision, the lino did. On the DJ issue, I think Thrac is wrong, it's a sign of sticking together, if DJ can't be bothered to even make his way up with the team, then we should get rid.

Since when did assistants have the power to award penalties or issue red cards? The ref was far nearer to the incident, and should at least have seen it wasn't in the box. DJ may have had valid reasons (personal/family) for missing the game. Indeed, most managers don't encourage injured players to attend as they fear it may affect team morale. Were Hume or Clemence at the match yesterday?

And i'm with you on this one - its all about team spirit. At the end of the day, he is paidby the club, all injured players should be made to come down with the squad for morale. And if he flatrefused, he should be sent packing. Its the wrong attitude, and we've got more than our fair share of players with that.

If you are going by this then every player employed by the club then who has appeared for us this season should of travelled to Bramall Lane yesterday. I dont think the team bus would be big enough though.
Koke Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 Were Hume, Clemence, Hendrie, Clapham, Etuhu etc at the game yesterday?
