maddog Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 It's an early thread for a must win game. The fact is, if we lose this game, i rekon we are favourites to fall into that 3rd relegation spot. Come on Leicester

Koke Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 I'm actually a bit worried about this game - Colchester are half decent.
maddog Posted 6 April 2008 Author Posted 6 April 2008 I'm actually a bit worried about this game - Colchester are half decent. If we can't beat the bottom club at home we deserve to go down. Although credit to Colchester, they can score goals, more than top club Bristol City in fact. Thats where i may be worried too, they can score, we can't score many, so if they get a goal we could be in trouble.

Tilley Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 We won't win. It is tradition to beat Barnsley & it is also FACT we cannot win back to back. So something has got to give? A sneaky Colchester win?? & if we beat Colchester & then beat Barnsley, I will strip down to my boxer shorts at Oakwell at FT.
Guest Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 I'd love it if we'd spent all season not being able to win 2 in a row and then went and won the next 3 in a row
MC Prussian Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 THIS early and not started by Bert? We're doomed.

davieG Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 OS Leicester City boss Ian Holloway could welcome as many as seven players back from injury when the Foxes take on Colchester United at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday. Holloway was without a number of first team regulars for the trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United last Saturday - and his side went down 3-0. But the Foxes chief has confirmed that he expects to have further numbers at his disposal for the U's clash this weekend. He said: "Things are looking up on the injury front. Iain Hume and Jamie Clapham will be back in training today (Tuesday), while DJ Campbell should also have recovered from his groin problem come the weekend. "We have also got Ben Alnwick back with us from Tottenham. He returned last week and was back in training yesterday. "Kelvin Etuhu has been suffering with a nerve problem in his back, but he has responded well to treatment and has an outside chance of being fit for the weekend. "Add to that the fact that Barry Hayles and Lee Hendrie are both available once again and things look a little healthier." Holloway also gave an update on long-term absentees Levi Porter and Elvis Hammond. Porter suffered a cruciate ligament injury in City's Carling Cup defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last October, while Hammond has been out for the majority of the season with an ankle problem. He added: "Both Levi and Elvis are back outside on the training pitches running around. It is too early for them to go back into full training, but they are heading in the right direction."

Micky Ruddle Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 I'm actually a bit worried about this game - Colchester are half decent. Karim on the train How'ay The Lads!
Tilley Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 After watching Big League Weekend with Mr Holloway on it. I have to say I'm very worried about this game. Even he said Colchester are all but down and have nothing to lose. & they are bagging the goals. This game worries me more than most out of the remaining four. IF we fail to win Saturday we are pretty much down and deserve to be.
step Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 We are already in trouble!...this is a must win game and we are going to get turned over!...I can feel it! They have nothing to lose, so they will play for a win and we will defend and lose. Accept it, we are going down.
Daggers Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 All aboard the Disco Bob Enthusiasm Express! This is going to be a brilliant game full of laughs, goals and chants. Following on from a solid preparation of cheese&onion cobs and Belgian beer we will build to a glorious victory and Holloway will be crowned Prince of Hearts. Huzzah for the Enthusiasm Express!
Nod.E Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 Not as pointless as your post oooops and now mine Exactly my thoughts! I wasn't going to put anything, because it would've been equally pointless. But seeing as you did, I just though, why not!
maddog Posted 8 April 2008 Author Posted 8 April 2008 Its simple. Sheffield Wednesday have now gone above us. Barnsley have 2 games in hand. The fact is if we don't win Saturday, we will almost certain to be relegated.
Sods Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Its simple. Sheffield Wednesday have now gone above us. Barnsley have 2 games in hand. The fact is if we don't win Saturday, we will almost certain to be relegated. I disagree. Look at Barnsleys 2 games in hand. Watford and Hull.
Father Ted Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Its simple. Sheffield Wednesday have now gone above us. Barnsley have 2 games in hand. The fact is if we don't win Saturday, we will almost certain to be relegated. I think you mean we deserve to go down. Although even if we were to lose against Colchester we could still stay up with very important games against Barnsley and Sheff Wed. I also think that if it comes down to us needing a result against Stoke then we will go down.

Although even if we were to lose against Colchester we could still stay up with very important games against Barnsley and Sheff Wed.I also think that if it comes down to us needing a result against Stoke then we will go down. I would agree with all of that. I really think we will stay up unless something drastic happens. If we fail to beat Colchester, we then still have the chance of beating Barnsley and Sheff Wed who haven't had the best of records either. Although don't knock us down when we play Stoke. It would pretty much be Leicester City all over to beat Colchester. Lose the next two then beat Stoke in the last game. But your right if we dont get wins against Barnsley, Colchester and Sheff Wed we deserve to go down. All three games will be huge.
Aeropars Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Problem being with colchester is that the pressure is pretty much off for them so they can play for fun.... i've seen so many small teams turn on the style when its game over already for them with nothing left to play for. I just hope we dont get a spanking from them.
